I loved everything about A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR, Helena Hunting’s newest addition to in the All In series. It is a funny and heartwarming hockey romance with endearing characters.

Stevie and Bishop live across the hall from each other and from the moment they meet, there are fireworks. They constantly argue and throw sarcastic barbs at each other. All the while, trying to ignore the heat simmering between them.

Bishop is socially inept. He doesn’t like most people and he doesn’t care if people like him. He says what is on his mind and often comes off as a jerk, but he is a good guy underneath his tough, good looking exterior. Bishop is new to the Seattle hockey team and all he cares about is proving himself to his team.

It is fun watching Stevie and Bishop dance around each other as they trade quips and put downs. I also enjoyed all the entertaining secondary characters and can’t wait to read their stories. If you like sexy hockey players and great dialogue, don’t pass this one by.

5 Underwear Of The Day Crowns

I love Helena and I know that every time I read one of her stories I’m in for a special treat, and this story was no exception. Helena has created a heartfelt wonderful series that draws you right in and enraptures you until the end. Bishop and Stevie are utter perfection together with their fantastic banter and their chemistry that is off the charts hot.

"At the end of the day I grab my bag from my locker, wondering if jerkwad missed out underwear fashion show today."

Stevie is working through some unfortunate heartache and has come to stay at her brother’s penthouse while she figures things out. She’s smart and hardworking and even though she has some feelings of inadequacy due to her brother’s high status as a hockey player. She handles it like a champ with sass and determination. I adored her character and could immediately relate to her and what she was trying to work through. She meet’s Bishop and does not hesitate to give back as good as she got and I loved that. And even though she’s in a vulnerable place she does not let that get her down, her strength keeps her going with a smile on her face.

"This is what I get for being nice to someone with a pretty face and the personality of a praying mantis."

Bishop is harsh and abrasive he too is going through some things especially with being on a new team and trying to develop repour with his teammates. But as the story moves forward, we get to see a whole new side to him. The fun little games he plays with Stevie and his unwavering love for his brother will pull at your heartstrings and have you falling in love with this big lug. The chemistry between him and Stevie is palpable, every time they are in the same room you could feel the tension growing and growing until it’s a physical entity that you can almost touch. These two are perfect together, they balance each other, and Bishop helps Stevie work through some of the issues she’s been carrying around with her.

"Four more days without Stevie’s hands on me. Four more days of whacking off in the shower. On the upside, I don’t have to constantly remind myself not to ram my tongue in her mouth and dry hump her. Small mercies, I suppose."

I adored this story from start to finish, I was completely captivated with what was going on and read this in one sitting. With Helena’s specific brand of humor and her ability to layer her stories with precision makes this an easy 5 Star read. This series to completely addictive and every new one becomes my favorite. Helena is a master at her craft and has the ability to create these worlds that you can’t help but get lost in. I can’t wait to see where she takes us next.

Helena Hunting is one of my favorite authors and A Favor for a Favor may be one of favorite books of all time. I completely fell in love with this story and Stevie and Bishop from the very first page.
This is a slow burn, but Bishop and Stevie are worth the wait. There is so much banter in this story and you can’t help but laugh out loud. Stevie is new to Seattle and after getting a not so pleasant surprise form an ex on her brother she finds herself living in her brother, RJ’s, penthouse. Her new neighbor is a grump who likes to hang out in his pretty funny underwear. It quickly becomes a game between the two of them. Bishop has some not so nice opinions of his new neighbor, that is until he finds out who she is.
Stevie and Bishop of chemistry from the start. I loved their little morning game routine. These two are up there with one of my favorite Helena couples ever! I didn’t want their story to end because I couldn’t get enough of them. They are perfect for each other and once they decide to stop playing games and give in to their chemistry things get EXPLOSIVE.
A Favor for A Favor can be read as a complete standalone, but it is the second book in the All In series. If you want more of Stevie’s brother, RJ, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading book 1, A Lie for a Lie.
Stevie and Bishop are one of my favorite book couples of 2020 and this is one of my top reads for 2020!

I LOVED the chemistry between Bishop and Stevie! Their little games and stubborn encounters were hilarious. You could tell from the beginning that Bishop was a guarded heart and not the total a-hole he projected. I loved that Stevie found a way to get under his skin every chance she got.

I kind of wished that Joey (Stevie’s disgrace of an ex) had gotten what he deserved but the taunting and mind games that he suffered were sufficient. He was such a villain in this story.

This slow burn was so hot and sweet at the same time. Emotions ran high but didn’t evolved from lust to compassion and caring until much later in the book.

I absolutely shipped these two and was so glad for a HEA.

A Favor for a Favor is the second in a series of connected stand-alone stories that started with A Lie for a Lie. This time we get to know Stevie (the sister of Rook/RJ from book 1). We also get to know Bishop, he is Stevie’s neighbor and Rook’s teammate/nemesis.

When it comes to characters, I really liked both Stevie and Bishop. They are both a lot more complex than they appear in the beginning and it was a pleasure to see the nuances of their personalities emerge the more time we spent with them.

The story between Stevie and Bishop is multifaceted and entertaining. There is a misunderstanding/enemies phase, a let’s help each other phase, a sweet friendship, then more. Each phase of the plot is well written and pulls the reader more into the story and had me rooting for them.

Add in an overbearing bother/teammate, a persistent ex boyfriend, and a couple of good friends and you have an excellent secondary cast. This group helps had flavor to the story as they help get Stevie and Bishop into trouble and out again.

There were a couple of small things in the story that I felt unresolved and while they weren’t deal breakers, I kept waiting for the resolution. Both were related to the apartment Stevie was supposed to have with her ex- issues that Stevie needed to deal with, but didn’t.

Overall, I had fun with A Favor for a Favor. I am looking forward to seeing what might be next in this series.

A Favor for a Favor is the second stand alone in Helena Hunting's All In series. An enemies to lovers hockey romance that brings with it an abundance sarcastic humor and sexual tension.

Stevie Bowman starts her new move to Seattle with on her birthday by discovering her boyfriend cheating on her and finds herself in need of a place to stay. Her hockey playing brother offers up his penthouse to her the only downside is the a**hole across the hall, Bishop Winslow. He is a jerk on the ice where he can't seem to get along with the new coach or the captain who took his spot and really can't get along with his new neighbor. With underwear stand-offs and finally getting breaking through the a-hole and sarcasm, Stevie and Bishop connect in ways they never expected. But Stevie has never wanted her brother's limelight so will she ever be able to handle being in Bishops.

Stevie Bowman has struggled her entire life to get out from her under brother's shadow. She worked hard to become a physiotherapist and is trying make a name on her own, without his sports connections. Her oversharing and filter issues when it comes to Bishop really made me laugh. Bishop gets under her skin and when she finally accepts that's where she wants him to be it's so sweet. Stevie is someone I'd want on my side because she's loyal and kind and helps even her enemy neighbor when he comes home hurt.

Bishop Winslow is a jerk and he knows it. He goes out of his way to be unpleasant with everyone except his best friend on the team King (who is fantastic) and his brother. He immediately makes assumptions about Stevie that couldn't be more wrong and once the misconception is cleared up he finds joy with her that he appears to have never experienced. You end up loving Bishop Winslow because he's just a sweetheart disguising himself as an a**hole.

A Favor for a Favor is a story we've read before of teammate falling for another teammate's sister but it's a has a bit of a hate to love scenario thrown in as well. Stevie and Bishop keep you laughing with their underwear battles and their quick-witted banter. You are cheering for them the whole time because they just work but have to work hard to get there. It's a quick read with some much appreciated flashes of some of our favorites from the Pucked Series including Violet in all her inappropriate goodness.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. From the first page of this book I was glued to my seat, I fell for bishop hard. I also love Stevie. These two together are gasoline and fire so hot. The sexual tension and chemistry is off the charts. They are both also funny. I love bishop underwear slogans. I also understand Rj being so over protective I have big brother and it's like it's in there blood or at least most big brothers. I can't wait for series to continue and get more of Alex and Violet.

„Everyone has a demon or two, Stevie. You just gotta learn how to live with them and find other people who think all your good parts outweigh the bad.”

I have no idea how Helena Hunting does it, but every single one of her books brings me such indescribable joy that it’s able to put a smile on my face even on the worst day. Her typical sense of humor makes me crack up, her sarcastic inserts make me snort, and the ever-present sexual tension makes me fan myself constantly. A Favor for a Favor is another epic book that will make you laugh, swoon and burn from all the sexiness!

I adore Stevie, her need for independence and doing her best to make a name for herself. She’s confident, feisty, sassy and sharp-tongued. She gives as much as she gets and doesn’t let anyone belittle her. I had many moments when I wanted to high-five her and buy her a drink. Bishop appeared at the beginning as this grumpy, broody and rude jerk, but with every turned page we get to learn that he’s actually very sweet and loyal. From growling grizzly he has shifted into care-bear. He’s the type of hero you fall in love with hard. Their first encounter was a complete distarter. Wrong assumptions mixed with instant attraction resulted in hilarious insults and constant banter between Bishop and Stevie. But then it changed into frienship combined with mutual professional help. Their relantionship development was so entertaining, funny and sweet! I couldn’t get enough of these two! The chemistry was completely off the charts and their sexy times were indescribably HOT!

Helena once again claimed her title as a rom-com royalty. Her witty and brilliant writing style shines bright in A Favor for a Favor and brings incredible pleasure from reading it. This slow burn, enemies to lovers romance is a must read. It's funny, steamy and totally addicting. I couldn’t put it down!

This book is AMAZING!

I have read book number one "A lie for a lie", however I dont think it is 100% required as this book can easily be read as a standalone. (Just want to add, A lie for a lie is also AMAZING, so i'd definitely recommend that.)

A favor for a favor tells the story of a girl, Stevie, who has lived in her famous brothers shadow. She hates the spotlight, the attention and basically people trying to get to her brother through her. After her boyfriend cheats on her, she is determined now more than ever to prove herself! When the opportunity to rehab her neighbour, another famous hockey player, she jumps on the chance!
Bishop is nothing like anyone she has ever met. He is stubborn, rude and just a pain in her a$$.

This book is HILARIOUS! Bishop is a giant of a man who likes to spend his time wearing his boxers, with funny logos on them. Sure he is at home and wants to remain comfortable. He also loves this newspaper war he has going with his neighbour Stevie.

I read a lot of ROM-COM's and it is very hard to get one that is actually a romantic comedy. Its either too steamy and no comedy or no steam and just a comedy! This book has it all! Genuinely I was laughing out loud to this book. I couldn't and didn't want to put it down! I loved how these characters are so stubborn yet they work! They have this hard exterior yet they are very sweet and loyal!

I highly recommend this book.

This story is a wonderful slow burn with a grumpy hockey play and fiesty woman. Stevie and Bishop get off to quite the start and I really enjoyed how they may poke at each, but do genuinely enjoy one another. They have a natural friendship and I love how they play off each other. Bishop isn't a stereotypical hockey player and Stevie isn't conventional per se either. They are so cute trying to just be friends even though they can literally feel the sexual tension. I was throughly entertained by these two! We get to see Alex and Violet again and they proved again why they are adored. I will say Rook wasn't winning any popularity contests for me though. Kingston was such a friendly odd duck and I am so excited to get in his head for book three!!!

Words can’t describe how much I loved Bishop & Stevie’s story!

To say Bishop & Stevie didn’t get a long in the beginning is an understatement. And I loved every interaction & how they bantered back and forth. Bishop & Stevie challenged each other in the best way!

A must read! I can’t wait for Kingston’s story next!

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Although I love Rook and Lainey...Bishop...omg! He is EVERYTHING. The handsome jerk you can’t help but want to get close to. Stevie is such a cutie with her pastel hair and spunky personality. The two together? And flirting and trying not to be together? I swooned over the peephole games and play fighting. I really enjoyed this funny, crazy addictive page turner.

This book - wow!! Stevie and Bishop were just fantastic!! I started it before bed one night and before I knew it, I had read close to half the book!! From the entertaining banter, to the smokin' hot chemistry, everything about this book was incredible!! Add in the appearances from some beloved Pucked series characters (Alex and Violet...)…..and you have a story you won't want to miss out on!

Another 5 star read from Helena Hunting!! I just adore her writing, her characters, and her stories so darn much. A Favor For A Favor is book two in the All In series. It's a standalone so you don't have to start with book one (A Lie For A Lie) but if you're wanting to read about hot hockey players, why not add that one to your list and just start there?

Our sexy hockey player in this book is Bishop...and I can assure you he is quite the hunk. He's new to the team so he's got something to prove and in the process pulls his groin on the ice. I'm no physical therapist or doctor, but OUCH. He's eager to heal and get back on the ice so he can continue proving himself to the team.

Stevie is down on her luck, big time and needs a place to crash since walking in on her boyfriend with another girl. Her older brother, RJ from A Lie For A Lie, offers to let him stay in his penthouse since he's not currently using it. It just so happens the new place is across the hall from Bishop's penthouse and Stevie makes quite the ruckus when she moves in one night at midnight, which also makes for a great first impression on Bishop. These two are quick enemies constantly trying to irritate the other.

After Bishop's injury, Stevie (who is a sports physiotherapist) offers to help him rehab. Hello forced proximity, slow burn, steamy banter, and sexual tension. These two definitely bring the heat while they're working together and they have plenty of genuinely sweet, mushy moments as well. I still cannot think about Stevie and Bishop without smiling.

I've said it before and I know I'll say it again-- Helena Hunting writes relationships so perfectly. I always enjoy her characters -- their quirks, their humor, and their love stories -- so incredibly much!

🔥🔥/5 steam rating for flirting, sexual banter, and one full sex scene

Thank you to Montlake Romance, Amazon Publishing, and NetGalley for an eARC. All opinions are my own.

Bishop Winslow is not the most friendly of guys. He is a self-confessed asshole. Stevie has had any asshole of a day, when she arrives at her temporary new home. When her welcoming committee to the floor is Bishop, well let’s just say it's not the most advantageous of meetings. He presumes she's they mistress of his married team captain, so he doesn't greet her in an exactly pleasant manner. Stevie totally unaware that Bishop is her big brother's teammate doesn't bother to set him straight, instead giving as much snark back as she received.
A series of ‘accidental’ hallway meetings are the beginning of a sort of friendship, though neither are going to admit the chemistry that is growing. Until a favour for a favour has Stevie helping to rehab a badly injured Bishop, & Bishop helping get the message across to Stevie douchebag ex.
Stevie gross idea of the prefect pizza topping made me laugh, as did Bishop’s reaction to it & his use of this as a seduction technique. I couldn’t wait for each scene with Bishop in his boxers just to see what was on the next pair (honestly it had nothing to do with Helena’s descriptions of hot hockey player’s body!!!), but really who buys boxers like that for themselves.
Now don’t get me wrong it’s not all plain sailing, Bishop is a monumental ass at times; RJ, Stevie’s brother must have his say, even when it none of his business & Stevie is kinda guarded. But it wouldn’t be such a fun read if everyone was prefect, now would it. You need those chapters where you just want to roll your eyes at the characters or scream for goodness sake just talk to each other.
Helena writes good banter, snark, chemistry & sexy times, her characters feel like real people with flaws & quirks.

"His man stick is pretty much broken. I'm not getting a ride out of this, if that's what you're thinking."

This story is so much fun! I giggled and blushed and giggled some more. The mistakes, misunderstanding, and mishaps were so entertaining, at least on my end. Not so much for the colorful characters that were exchanging favors among other things.

Their first meeting was quite memorable and started them on the wrong foot. They traded attitude and insults and there was no turning back from those bad first impressions. I had such a good time anticipating their every encounter... wondering what underwear he'd be wearing. Did I mention that he's got a thing for graphic boxers briefs? If you don't believe me, just ask him and he'll tell you. "My underwear is a thing."

Some girls have all the luck. Why can't I even end up with a sexy hockey hunk for a neighbor? Especially one that has a sense of humor and likes to flash his assets? But, I don't begrudge her, I like her too much. It can't be easy having a brother that's a professional hockey player, right? Never having privacy or knowing if your friends are real or just using you to get to him. So, it makes sense that she prefers to stay far away from the limelight. It's not surprising that the jerk across the hall has no idea who she is. I couldn't wait for him to finally figure it out!

The snark and sexual banter between them were so funny and HOT! Of course, she had to put her hands all over those muscles to help him rehab after his injury. Yes, it was very hard but somebody had to do it. Might as well be her, right? Though I'm sure there'd be a line around the block if he was taking volunteers. I loved this latest addition to the All In series and can't wait for A Secret for a Secret. The line forms here...

This is the second book of the Pucked spin off series. I did read A Lie for A Lie but you can for sure read this as a stand-alone. Helena Hunting is the queen of banter!! I love the chemistry between Stevie and Bishop. Their meet cute was hilarious and starts off a series of funny “chance” meetings each morning. I love the slow born of romance and all the sexual banters. ⁣

This comes out January 28th and I highly recommend this! Thank you so much @netgelly and @helenahunting for the ARC!⁣
