This book has a lot of neat recipes and I liked how it was split up in sections such as oven, pan, pot, grill and using leftovers.

I liked that the instructions for each recipe were easy to understand and follow. Recipes were accompanied by beautiful pictures and additional tips. The big bonus was the information at the beginning of the book in regards to selecting, handling and butchering. Super informative, this book should be on every beginning cooks shelf. For the more advanced cook these are great recipes to switch up your meal planning.

Comprehensive chicken cookbook. An in depth book on everything chicken. How to choose, cut and prepare all types of chicken.

Recipes included in the book are very good I like the way the book is split into sections such as roasting, grilling frying etc.

Lots of simple tasty recipes I cant wait to try out.

A decent selection of recipes. A good start of chicken recipes if you like chicken and want a starting / jumping-off point.

Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner by Stacie Billis has a great selection of recipes. It features an informative section on cutting, prepping and preparing the chicken. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious.

This is a very well written cookbook; great instructions for those uncertain about techniques, nice layout, wonderful pictures and very readable style. The recipes are a nice blend of variations on tried-and-true flavors and less seen flavor profiles. I can see myself trying a good 80%of the recipes.

Another interesting cookbook to read! The author includes how to choose the bird, how to cut it into a certain pieces, how to carve it, how to roast it, and so many more skill regarding cooking chicken. You can also find mouthwatering recipes, with cook notes completing the dish.

This book came at just the right time as I was shamefully trying to remember my father's instruction on properly butchering chicken. The author has included exactly that, with flawless instruction and easy to follow photo guides. I felt that this book didn't have many recipes that I was surprised by, but to be fair I'm an adventurous cook. There are some nice stand out moments that are surprisingly simple, like a pineapple chicken salad with coconut that definitely caught my eye. But what I most appreciated was the attention paid to preparation and technique. I grew up with a chef and toddling around professional kitchens so even though that isn't my calling I firmly believe that the tools and the process are every bit as important as the end result. This author gives you those tools, laid out in attractively easy ways.

Do you know how to cut up a whole chicken, how to butterfly chicken breasts, how to brine a chicken, how to truss it up?  Should you roast or bake?  Can I make fajitas in the oven?  What is the difference between stock and broth?  Would you like to marinate and grill chicken?  How can I use up leftover chicken?  Winner!  Winner!  Chicken Dinner includes all of this and more - all with easy instructions and tons of color photos.

My husband is not a fan of chicken, which is one of the reasons I wanted to view this book. Not only are the recipes delicious (at least the ones I have tried), but also practical. Most recipes call for ingredients that are readily available and on hand in my pantry. There also are a lot of tips for cooking chicken. So far the hubby had enjoyed the recipes I made and I have many more to make.

I was waiting for a cookbook like this to be released with a lot of chicken recipes since chicken is what I eat a lot of and this book had a lot of new and exciting recipes to try and having a few favorites such as Jerk Chicken, Chicken Thighs with Maple–Cider Vinegar Glaze and Fennel-Apple Slaw, and the one I really want to try Peachy Sriracha Sticky Wings since being from Buffalo, I am a huge wing connoisseur and peach is one of my favorite flavors. I also like how this book focused on step by step pictures to make sure each step is done right as well as a step-by-step breakdown to easily follow along. This book definitely was a candidate for a potential future cooking demo book.

We will consider adding this title to our Cookbook collection at our library. This is why we give this book 5 stars.

Yum Yum Yum!!!
I tried a handful of recipes and found them easy to reproduce and absolutely tasty!
Filled with eye popping, full colour pictures for each recipe it's easy to get hungry reading this.
There are some helpful tips in the front of the book on food safety and how to deconstruct a full chicken in order to reap to most for your monies.
Favourite recipe: Indian-Style Fried Chicken (though we used breasts instead of thighs).

I love cookery books and I’ve been lucky enough to receive an advance copy of Winner winner chicken dinner, this is a really nice cook book filled with lots of yummy chicken recipes, I found each recipe has been well thought out and illustrated and they are really easy to follow. If you like chicken then this is the book for you and I look forward to trying more out more of the wonderful recipes.

Amazingly delicious chicken dinners. I have run out of ways to cook chicken so was thrilled to read this book. I have tried two recipes thus far and my whole family loved them. Chicken one of the most used proteins made delicious!

Another great cookbook!. I tend to eat a lot of chicken so it's nice to change it up a bit with different recipes. I loved the variety in this book and cant wait to try every single recipe.

Chicken is my favorite protein. It is so versatile and can hold many flavors. Sometimes I run out of ideas on what to do with chicken. But this book solves my problems. There are soo many great recipes in here. Whether your looking for a salad, casserole or pasta, this books has it all. In the beginning of the book it tells you the best way to purchase chicken and what to look for. Tips on brining or roasting, butchering and storing. I would recommend this book.

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Chicken is a staple cooked in my house 2-3 times a week so I was instantly drawn to this cookbook. I am so grateful that it starts with the basic instruction guide to butchering up a whole chicken, both raw and after cooking. Despite years of cooking whole chickens our butchering still needs a lot of work. Stacie Billis' guide is one of the best that I have come across.

The pictures and the pages are bright and quickly grab your attention. Sadly, the recipes do not. Cookbooks should bring inspiration and invigoration to a kitchen and it's cook, and I did not find that in this book. None of the recipes jumped out to me as something interesting to try, or even as a new twist on an old favorite. So while I love the butchering guide, the main purpose of the book is just something I am disappointed in.

Good assortment of lots of tasty, flavorful recipes for chicken. Not only does it have recipes for the whole bird, but also for all the different parts. Instructions on how to cut the whole bird yourself and how to make your own flavorful additions to your chicken to keep things fresh and tasty.
