This is the second book I’ve read this year about a mom getting filmed in a unbecoming way, and the video going viral on the internet.

Quinn is your perfect mom - parents association president, beautifully decorated home, successful surgeon husband, thriving career in interior design, and a three year old son. Unfortunately, one very bad incident of Quinn yelling at her son while crushing the Halloween costume he refused to wear is caught on camera... and suddenly the video is leaked to the world. She becomes the viral sensation “Halloween Mom” and Quinn’s world is turned upside down.

This was a slow starter for me, but picked up quite a bit after the New Years party and Quinn and Daisy’s friendship begins. While the other book (Minor Drama and Other Catastrophes) was about high school drama, this focuses on an elite preschool in a pretentious small town. Both books were good and had similar plots, but each ended up being unique. I’m glad I was able to read both.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

You don't have to currently be the mom of a young child to enjoy this book -- the appeal is universal. I look forward to recommending it to readers who enjoyed Laurie Gelman's Class Mom books, any Sophie Kinsella titles, and even something like When Life Gives You Lululemons or That's What Frenemies are for. I liked all the characters, and appreciated the fact that the author didn't stick to stereotypes, but developed all of them fully. There is a lot to be said here about the effects of social media on our communities, and the difficulties of the Millennial Generation as they struggle to find their career, romantic, and parenthood footings in a world where the rules are always changing. Really enjoyed this book.

The recent roster of school centered books featuring parents behaving badly has been massively intriguing and entertaining to me, and I enjoyed Little Wonders thoroughly. Little Wonders' resident overachiever mom has a complete breakdown at the school Halloween function, which, when a video of her overreaction goes viral, causes her life to spiral. It's a great story and entertaining story about maintaining identity in parenthood as well as friendship. Definitely a great one to pick up after the Class Mom books.

This book was a delight. Rorick built such complex and likable characters that the reader roots for them even when they're not at their finest.

I enjoyed this book and think that readers will find the parenting a realistic jump into what is going on in today's world. The over the top need to out-do the mom next to you is a high pressure and at times sad reality of what we think that society is about. I really liked the title too! It is a perfect fit for this book.

This book's description is totally up my ally. Rich people, school, intrigue and a meltdown. I knew that I would like it. However, I had no idea that I would not be able to put it down. This book is so well-written, so well- paced, and every character is fleshed out for their good an bad traits. The only characters that aren't are the expected ones. I loved this book and did not want it to end. I thought I would hate Quinn and later, Shanna. I also thought that this would have the typical ending, but I was really pleasantly surprised. I loved Daisy and her "outsider" status and how she handled. it. This is really a novel about friendship and I was here for every single page!
