Thanks to NetGalley, publisher and author for allowing me to read this free copy in exchange for my review. I loved the different puzzles and activities contained in this book. This will entertain anybody for a long time. I think it will be ideal for kids to have and enjoy while in a car ride. I liked it so much that I bought a copy for my young niece. I am sure she will love it as much as I did.

I absolutely loved this book! There is something for everyone in it due to the fact that it provides a large variety of puzzles. This is a great alternative to screen time for kids, would make an excellent road trip companion, or I look forward to giving some of these puzzles to my students. The only negative to reading this book digitally was that I wasn't able to write in it. I cannot wait to get a copy to use with my own kids and students.

Hours of fun for kids and 'big kids' too!! This book has a huge range of different puzzles to do alone or with friends and family, with familiar favourites like wordsearches and find the hidden item, to puzzles you might not have heard of.
It is an ideal book to take on plane or train journeys, or to keep kids busy at moments like waiting at the dentist, rather than sticking an ipad in front of them.
I think kids from age 8 and up will be engaged by this book, and adults will be challenged too!

I really enjoyed this book of brain teasers. Don't let the title fool you, it's not just for children. Adults will have just as much fun figuring many of these out.
There are a few new types of brain teaser that I hadn't seen before, slitherlink, masyu, and picross.
I absolutely love that the hidden pictures pages are uncoloured so that the hidden objects can be found as you colour! This is a great addition to any family home, especially for those indoor days when young minds need to be exercised.

This is full of fun designed for youth ages 9 to 12, and older even. These games are enjoyable with mind teasers, logic grid puzzles, sudoku, cryptograms, hidden pictures and more. These kinds of games are also helpful in improving concentration, learning problem solving skills and developing short term memory strength. This is a great book for traveling or other breaks perhaps from all the fun on a computer screen. The puzzles have a variety of versions allowing for playing different types of puzzles several times, which is nice. Some of these teasers and puzzles are very challenging so you don’t have to think this is only an easy book. The coloring pages included are also fun. This is a nice choice when looking for a puzzle book.

This book of puzzles is great for anyone ages 9 and up. The book is full of hidden pictures, sudokus, cryptograms, and more. The book is a great way to exercise your brain. This can be a great resource for upper elementary school teachers and/or students.

I voluntarily agreed to read a copy of this book supplied by Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own and in no way have been influenced by anyone.

This is a delightful book full of puzzles and teasers for kids and adults. I would probably use the base age of 10 years old. There are 9 chapters of puzzles including several I didn't know about. Hidden Pictures, Slitherlink, Logic Grids, Picross, Masyu, Matchsticks, Cryptograms, Math Squares and Sudoku. Thankfully there is an answer key. Thinking as a teacher, this would be great in the classroom for students that finish work early or need extra credit. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I decided to work through this book with my 8 year old nephew as the puzzles are aimed at his age group. We didn't test out every single puzzle, as we couldn't write on the computer screen, and rewriting each puzzle would take too long. However, we tried to do at least one in each category. I think that the suggested age range of 9-12 is perfect, as I could see that some of the later puzzles were a little too complicated for him.

As a fan of Where's Wally puzzles, he enjoyed the hidden puzzles, I however, found them really difficult!

I was so excited to teach him the grid logic puzzles and picross, as they were my favourite as a child, so it was fun to teach him how to solve them.

I appreciated that there were so many versions of each puzzle. I expected just a page or two of each but there were so many.

We're going to continue working through this book and I'll be picking up a final copy of this when I can find one, so that we can work through the remaking puzzles together!

A great quiz and game book for kids. Includes different activities, some of which are a bit more difficult than others and are more suitable for 11+

You get a different variety of puzzles to have your kids look at and solve. Word, search and find and a few number related ones. Great to help with problem solving, thinking and learning.

I'm always on the lookout for fun riddles or puzzles I can share with my class and colleagues. This book mainly contains visual puzzles, and skews a bit younger ("ages 9-12 and up"), so the cryptograms and sudoku puzzles will probably be the main attractions for adults. I'm also a fan of logic problems but these are not the most complex grids.

The authors have very kindly given permission for teachers, librarians, and parents to reproduce the games for classroom and home educational use, so if that's a factor in your purchase, go for it!

Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for a digital ARC.

This is for serious puzzlers and not suitable for young kids. I think it would be better suited to a physical book than a kindle/tablet because of the need to refer back to the map and clues throughout the book. Get ready to be stumped!

For those in the market for such a thing, and who cannot find a junior puzzle book on their newsagent shelves, this is worth a consideration. We start with ten 'hidden item' pictures, black and white designs with ten details to discover from the relevant key. We then have:-

forty 'slitherlinks', which I as a regular puzzle book dabbler often get wrong in the adult size – these should be more getable;

ten old-fashioned logic puzzles, with the usual statements and grids to fill in;

21 Samurai puzzles, where one gets the basics of which cells in a large grid form a picture when filled in correctly;

forty 'Masyu', which is a newer format where you have to deduce the path of a loop as it crosses and obeys the rules of both black and white cells;

a hundred moving matchstick puzzles, which get slightly harder – and that's only a good thing, for with so few tricks to solving them to choose from they are very easy indeed;

forty 'numberlinks', which is the same concept as the Pipes puzzle apps like 'Flow Free' – you have to both connect like with like and fill every cell of the grid;

twenty encoded phrases and their source, with less of the key to the code for every puzzle you progress through;

forty maths squares, where three vertical sums and three horizontal ones in a grid share between them every digit that you have to place correctly to obey the functions and solution;

and because there is a law on these things, forty sudoku.

All told then, this really fits in with the books adult puzzlers are seeing on their shelves, and while the simplicity level may vary a little too wildly, I liked the way this acted as a stimulus to perhaps have a go with the more mature tests of the grown-up product. Thus connection with young and old is made, and more mature achievements are on the cards. That cannot be sniffed at.

This was a wonderful title and I can't wait to purchase it for my library and for several teacher friends. The puzzles were challenging and creative and it will be perfect to keep little minds and hands busy!

This is a really fun boredom buster for kids that leads to more complex thinking skills. It’s fun while on a road trip or while waiting in line for a ride or just an everyday thinking skill activity.

What a fun book. I'd like to buy the paperback version of this book. There are types of puzzle in this book that I've never seen before, which makes them more challenging, and that's great.

Absolutely love this book and honestly I really like that they aren’t simple. The puzzles are both interesting and fascinating. The puzzles aren’t as common as most books I’ve seen which is a win because I don’t want to see a book with nothing new or engaging. Some of these also make fun coloring pages so i have something the kids can explore on a variety of levels. This is a must have for traveling because it will keep your kids busy and engaged. Perfect alternative to keep them challenged with a fun way to learn. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.
