This book came to my attention via my Netgalley feed...intrigued, I flicked to Amazon and the 5 stellar reviews convinced me to request a copy.

My bad...Not far into the story, I considered declining posting a review, and then I got to thinking why should I? A review was requested and like all reviews, this is but one person's opinion - mine

The story-telling (with an emphasis on telling) is horrendous. There's next to no dialogue, just the hero's uninspiring narration. There are many tense slips, often within the same sentence. Nothing makes sense until the very end, an ending that made me roll my eyes so hard, I can still see the back of my skull.

I'm reluctant to give out spoilers, but there's a reason none of this feels real. If you can stick it out until the end, you'll discover why.

Copy obtained via NetGalley read now section.
