As I've come to expect, Grant delivers an action packed book that sucks you in from page one. Even though this is a collection of books it doesn't affect the experience to read them individually. I didn't love Ivy, she felt like a bit much for me and her sex scenes sometimes felt a bit jarring. The book was nevertheless entertaining and I would still recommend it,

You hit the ground running in this book and I like it. I thought it was very well written, with a great cast of characters and an engaging plot. I like the spy aspect of the story it kept me waiting for more. I did think it was about five chapters too long but they were at least entertaining. Well done.

I am a new fan of Rachel Grant! After reading this book I have been reading several of her other ones and I really like how each book not only has romance and suspense but most of them are based not in the US and have History lessons in them. As well as learning about things in different countries. It's rare for an author to be able to mix romantic suspense with teaching you about other places and historical artifacts but Ms. Grant does an excellent job each and every time! I am definitely adding her to my always must read author list!

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Netgalley of Poison Evidence . This story is action packed from the start . It kept my attention from the first page too the last . This story is intense and full of twists and turns . Ivy MacLeod is a brilliant and skilled woman . She created an advanced remote sensing equipment . Betrayed by her ex husband she finds herself testing her equipment on the Islands of Palau .she soon finds herself in danger from foreign intelligence agencies and her ex husbands terrorists allies . Jack Keaton steps in to protect her but maybe he isn't who she thinks he is ?
This is a fantastic story . I was on the edge of my seat and read straight to the end .
Along with the suspense and intrigue let's not forget romance . The chemistry between Ivy and Jack is hot and steamy . This is an all out fabulous story .
I highly recommend taking the time to read and enjoy .

This is the third book I’ve read from this author. Ivy is the genius, Jack is there for other reasons than she thinks. I liked this one- lots of action, which I love. There were parts that made me shake my head no, as in “never gonna happen in real life” and a few quirks that didn’t do it for me, but those are my only criticisms. This book is imaginative, well planned, and well written.

Totally blown away by the story. Lots of action going on and a good plot too boot. I liked the characters and enjoyed their story.

This was an intriguing and unique storyline. The characters are complex and interesting. There is a lot of action and just the right amount of romance. I will be going back and reading previous books as I've been drawn into this world.

Of all the romance sub-genres, military/suspense is my favorite. But it’s also the one that’s hardest to please me with because I want equal parts of romance and suspense. Much to my pleasure, Poison Evidence satisfied me with both!

Ivy McLeod is in the last phase of development for a new laser mapping device, which takes her to an island in the Philippine Sea for testing. When an attempt is made to steal the device and Ivy’s life is threatened, she’s saved by a man who may or may not be there to help her.

I’m being intentionally vague here because I don’t want to give anything away. But this really was the best kind of romantic suspense story. With an ex-husband who is about to be on trial for treason, a cousin with his own black ops security company, and double crossers by the handful, there was a lot going on. The plot moved at a breathtaking pace, and there were twists and turns I didn’t see coming - which is unusual for me.

I also really liked the romantic storyline as well. Again, I’m not going to go into much. But I will say this...I LOVED the ending. When all of the bad guys had been conquered and Ivy was safe, things were still complicated between Ivy and her hero. I loved how the author was able to keep things realistic (well, as realistic as can be when talking about spies and bombs and abductions and all those good things!), and not go the simple, easy route to happily ever after. I love characters who are mature, and patient, and can play the long game. This hero and heroine exemplified what I like best, and I really enjoyed their story.

This may be the shortest, most vague review I’ve ever written. All I can say is that the suspense and action part of this book was top notch, I loved the romance part, and I’ll be adding Rachel Grant to my list of romantic suspense authors to read.

I do want to mention that apparently this “ARC” is for a book that is three years old. Apparently I need to pay better attention to publication dates when requesting books from NetGalley! However, if I had noticed this book was originally published back in 2016 I would have been skeptical/suspicious about why it was available and most likely would not have requested it. I’m so glad I did! I also had no idea when I requested Poison Evidence that it was book seven - of eight - in the Evidence series. But the mark of a good author is that you can pick up any book in the series (unless it’s supposed to be read sequentially, of course) and not be lost or confused about what happened in previous books. You get enough of the side characters’ backstories so you understand who they are (and maybe even get your interest piqued), but the author doesn’t spend so much time over-explaining things that those who aren’t new might get bored. It’s a tough balancing act, but Ms. Grant managed it perfectly. And yes, I’m totally interested in the rest of this series now!

Jack Keaton is, well...not Jack Keaton. It's a convenient cover for his work in the Palau area. But he didn't think he'd be this attracted to Ivy. She was meant to be a means to an end, a way to save his sister and his nephew from the hell he felt responsible for. But can he really just dupe Ivy into parting with her work or will he see that there is more between them than he thought?

There was a major WTF moment in this! Did not see that plot twist coming. Jack is endearing, even when you know he has nefarious plans for Ivy! Ivy is smart as hell, sexy without knowing it and a helluva action hero!

Can you worth saving? Ivy just wants to move on with her life but her ex-husband still has friends out there that want what Ivy made. Will she ever be free? So when Jack saves her from being kidnapped she thinks that he is her saviour but he is after the very thing that they were wanting. Can she trust this man that she knows nothing about? Jack needs her help and even if that means using her he will but he feels bad about it as he really likes her. Ivy can't believe that Jack has lied to her about just about everything she feels betrayed but she can't fight her attraction to him. Is there any hope for them? Can Jack keep her safe from what is coming? Does he deserve saving? How will their story end? A great read. I so love me an intelligent heroine and this whole series has had wonderful, smart, sexy women as the heroines. I'm so sad this is the last book in the series as I love the way this group of characters have interwoven and interacted throughout the series. Another thing I just love is that I learned so much about the governments efforts to preserve archeological sites.

Ivy MacLeod has created a new technology to map archeology sites, both on land and in the ocean. CAM (Computer Aided Mapping) has applications that also make it of interest to the intelligence community. That is not an application Ivy wants to pursue. She is just getting to know what CAM and RON (the drone) can to and is so excited to be able to beta test them mapping a vast World War II battle site in the islands of Palau. She is also looking forward to being out of the states and, hopefully, the bad press of her husband being a spy will die down, if not go away.

Ivy's life has been on hold for two years and when she meets a hot, blue-eyed, blond, hunk at a formal party in Palau, her girl part sit up and take notice. Jack Keaton is a charter ship owner and hotter than Death Valley. When the party is attacked, Jack is right there to save Ivy.

Jack Keaton is definitely not what he appears to be and when Ivy throws all caution to the wind and runs off with him, well, what's a guy on a mission to do but go with the flow? He has promised to protect her, but is there any way he can protect his heart. When Ivy discovers that "Jack" is not what he appears to be, her primary concern is to protect her equipment and then she realizes that her mapping project is really a government cover for another mission altogether.

In order to complete his mission, Jack has to use Ivy and her state of the art equipment. Ivy is unlike any woman Jack has ever known and she soon is twisting him up in ways he never expected. For Ivy, the pull of Jack could very well mean she will be committing treason.

Rachel Grant always delivers exotic location and top-notch story line with a nail biting mystery and persistent characters. She has done so again with Poison Evidence. Island life is not always bliss especially when stranded, not knowing who to trust.

Ivy MacLeod is in exactly that position with Air Force pilot Jack Keaton. Is he friend or foe? One exciting story from beginning to end. There is a tie to another of her books but reads well as a stand-alone.

This author has found the balance between in writing suspense, action and romance all in one heart racing book. Fans of Toni Andersen, Kaylea Cross and Pamela Clare should add Rachel Grant to their must read list. Her books have that remarkable quality.

This is the 7th book in the Evidence series. It follows Ivy and a man with many names (because he's a spy). I was hot and cold throughout the book because there were parts that I could really get into, and then there were times when I was like "Wait. What?" I mean, it is possible for someone to have control over their libido. I could also have done without the babytalk. But the action, spy-ness, and science of everything were good.

Thoroughly enjoyed that - it is book 7 of a series but can be read as a standalone. This book sees Ivy setting out to test her latest project not knowing she is being manipulated. At a party she has a chance meeting with Jack Keaton and their attraction is instantaneous and hot. But Jack has an ulterior motive, he is not who he seems and takes Ivy to a deserted island on the grounds he is protecting her from her ex husband's foreign business partners. Overtime their relationship develops but so does the danger that Ivy is in as it turns our Jack is actually Dimitri and he is desperate to protect two people who mean the world to him..

Book 7 of the series and another great story. Grant's stories get more intricate each time and the technology interwoven with the suspense and the exotic locales was great. Grant's heroines are always strong, intelligent women which always welcome. I wondered how she was going to redeem the hero from the spy/assassin to the good guy. All the characters in this series are interwoven and it's nice to see them again and check in with them. Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for ARC in echange for a review.

I just love this series, and this one was no exception. I loved Ivy's determination. It takes a lot to overcome the scandals of her former husband, and she is such a strong heroine. And then there's Dimitri, who is such an enigma. He goes through quite a journey in this book, and I just loved him by the end. He and Ivy really bring out the best in each other and are a great match. There was lots of action and suspense, which kept me engrossed the whole time. The story is fast paced and complex, which made me love it even more. Looking forward to the next one!

Ivy is a cartographer and has invented a machine, Cam, that can map the land. She takes it to Palau to map a World War Two site. She’s glad to get away after her ex is accused of treason. Dimitri needs Cam and Ivy so he can find a missing Russian technology so he kidnaps them both. Dimitri is part American and part Russian and a spy. Someone has been pulling his strings for years and once he finds out who it’s been, it’s a showdown. Dimitri isn’t the only one after Ivy, some of her ex’s cronies want her technology too. And they’ll do anything to get it.
This was a little confusing so I don’t really know if this even makes sense. Plenty of action, sex, spies, and mystery.

I'm a sucker for books with a good strong female heroine and this was no exception. Considering I haven't read any of the previous books I did not know the backstories of most of the characters but it didn't hinder me from enjoying the book. Just like Tinderbox (one of Ms Grant's other books) this one also heavily leaned on the military factors. The plot was easy moving with many POVs inter-spaced but as I mentioned before it was enjoyable.

Ohhhh another action packed, yummy love story, with a hot hot hero. What woman doesn’t dream of the forbidden, making love to a hot spy in a hot setting! Ivy gets her wish! Ivy works for the government! She has developed technology that only she can work! Somebody wants her for what her technology can find! Who gets to her first the bad guys, or that hot spy who goes by Dimitri, who has gone by other names!
