I had no idea what to expect going into this. Both authors are new to me and I had heard amazing things so when I got the chance to read it, I took it and I was not disappointed. It's definitely different from what I am used to. This book had it all... It was held passion, lies, secrets, mystery and of course romance. It's told in four different points of view, which is something I am not used to, and thought I would struggle with but the authors weaved their words together flawlessly, and it really did flow with ease and I found myself completely spellbound by this plot. It really was something different to me and I didn't expect to love it as much as I did but as the story unfolded within these pages, I was completely fixated on finding out the truths to these lies and getting answers to these secrets. At first, I struggled to understand what was going on, but before too long, everything started to piece together and formed an incredible, enticing, all-consuming read and I honestly couldn't get enough. I loved each character for all different reasons. All unique in their own way. I'm hoping the authors put together another book similar to this book. Highly recommend giving this book a read. I don't think you'll be disappointed. 5 Stars!

Sadly I needed to Dnf this story as it was in multiple 3rd person POV’s which is hard to read personally and I just could not get into it. .

I couldn’t follow the regular guidelines of our blog because this story just didn’t fit within the parameters. It definitely had some romance within the story but I wouldn’t say that was the primary focus. We watched relationships develop or occur between characters but those relationships didn’t shape the story. The relationships between the four women and those four fashion icons with the fashion world molded this story into something I couldn’t put down.

Fashion Jungle is such an intriguing story because it is based on true stories and events. It gives you a real life peek into a world most people know nothing about. I also found myself googling events and people to see if I could figure out who the characters were based on and what events actually happened. So in my eyes, it was like a mystery within a mystery. This obviously kept me even more engaged with the text and making connections.

The story follows the lives through present day and flashbacks of four models that found strength and camaraderie with one another in a cutthroat world. Although the personalities of the four were completely different, they found comfort in knowing someone else was going through similar experiences. I found that the events that happened throughout the book were very applicable to the world today. The book took serious issues like mysogyny, sex slavery, child pornography, drugs and abuse and shed light on them in a very gentle yet impactful way. These women went through incredible battles and kept silent for fear of being rejected by the media, men, or the industry. But throughout the story, the strength of the women grows, as well as, their trust in one another to share those “dirty little secrets”. Through that strength and support, all the women found their voice by the end. And their voice was pretty freaking powerful.

I promised myself I wouldn’t cry and well let’s just say I’m totally NOT writing this review as tears fill my eyes! Not at all!

What can I say about Fashion Jungle? Well first of all don’t judge the book by it’s cover, seriously. Don’t be mistaken by the bright colours, this book is as bright and brilliant as the cover, yet it is equally as dark and deep into a world you may have no idea about.

Fashion Jungle follows the lives of three models who have survived and are still surviving in the fashion industry.

The blurb pretty much gives an overview of all the girls in the book so I won’t repeat that here. All I will say is that this book dives into so much more than the visual lives of these women.

These women are strong, independent, resilient and vulnerable. They have made it through this world which is so dark filled with abuse, drugs, predators, shame, harassment and so much more.

The story shows how tough the fashion industry can be and it was enlightening to hear this story from the perspective of not only three women but a man in this world too, with only one mission to help protect these girls.

That was another aspect I adore of the story, how the men like Dane and Oliver were shown to be their own people but they never tried to control or overshadow the women they loved lives. They accepted them for who they were, flaws and all, and decided they still needed to be in their lives.

Other male figures like Roger, the girls manager and Ronan, a politician were figures who showed even being enraptured in other dark world’s with knowledge painful to keep, they were good people. They were trustworthy.

All I can say is that this story showed a balanced view of the fashion world and how it is a jungle. Of course with the true events there was a touch of fiction.

If you’re a lover of Rachel Van Dyken’s stories, as I am, you can devour this and feel her writing off the pages as her other books do. The only difference is that this has a touch of truth and a depth of insight and writing from the legendary Kathy Ireland.

A must read, with many attributes that are needed to be heard in the world but the biggest one to be heard is that friendship and trust can still be found even in the dark depths of despair you may be in.

P.S. I call DIBs on Oliver, when you read the book you’ll know. That man made me swoon way too hard. Even through the painful moments in this book, reading his scenes made me feel like there is truly good people in this world. He’s mine now and forever.

WOW! I have so much to say about this amazing story that follows three women through their lives in New York’s cutthroat fashion world. Each is battling personal and professional issues that threaten their careers and their lives. In the forefront is the death of their best friend, and the questions that remain unanswered. One of the main characters, Dane, a charismatic underboss that has had a hand in each of their lives in different ways but will always be there for them as a promise to his deceased sister. This book reminds me of the late great Jackie Collins in that the stories ae salacious and intriguing, featuring characters that are in the limelight and struggling with demons that they do not want the world to know. Such a great book that I couldn’t put down!

I used to love RVD. Her books seem to be a struggle for me to get through now. I was honestly not a fan of this book.

When you think of fashion, I always think of everything being perfect and looking good. Who would have thought the fashion world would be so ugly. Rachel Van Dyken and Kathy Ireland pulled me into this book from the first page.

This is a complex story dealing with many different characters. You get invested in one character and start a new chapter and it’s a different character. The way these authors tie everything up and connect the characters Is great.

Jungle Fashion is not your typical romance story, it was emotional and based on real life events. We follow four women on their journey in the fashion world. This book is filled with all the ups and downs and secrets and betrayals. Once I started reading this book I couldn’t stop, I was completely invested in these characters. This book was different from anything I have read in a while and that made me enjoy it that much more.

Fashion Jungle is a little bit women's fiction with some contemporary romance added in. This book was different than I anticipated but had some elements I truly never expected. Knowing that this story was built on some truths on what happens behind the scenes in the fashion world truly makes you wonder what is factual and what is not.

I honestly don't know what to say about this book. I don't want to give more away than what the blurb says because then I feel as though I am just summarizing what the book is about. So just read the blurb to have an understanding of what you are getting into. I will just let you know what worked and did not work for me.

This book is told from 4 POVs, all in third person. This is where things got fuzzy for me. You never know which character's POV you are reading from til you get in the chapter and things start to come together. In the beginning of the book, a lot is thrown at you. If I knew which character's voice I was reading, I think this would have been more appealing to me. But when I had to try and decipher who was talking, it took away from what was truly happening in that scene.

I will say that once you get past all that, Kathy and Rachel do write some very compelling and intriguing characters. The fashion world is truly another world in itself and what goes on behind the scenes is quite interesting. I was definitely entertained by this story, even if things were predictable and it took me a bit longer to get through it than I would liked. But again, it still kept me flipping the pages

I think having both a fashion mogul and an amazing author pen this story was brilliant. Knowing what these 4 characters went through, both what people saw on the outside and what they hid from the world, it keeps the reader glued to the pages. And let's not forget the two men who grace the pages of this book, Dane and Dr. Oliver. You need to read to see how these two fit into the story. ;)

Overall, I definitely recommend giving Fashion Jungle a go.

Fashion Jungle is my top read of 2020 so far! It had me hooked from beginning to end!!! Be prepared to do nothing but read this book!!!! Yes, it is that good!!!!

There are several heroes and heroines in the book. For instance, Dane appears to be the devil, but he just might be an angel...one like I have never seen.. Roger is absolutely precious. I think the world would be a much better place if we all had a “Roger” in our lives. The true stars of the book are the four women, each is very different, but bonded in friendship.

Danica is Dane’s sister, who is dead. Her brother vows to find out the truth about her death. He doesn’t care what he has to do to find the answer. Her secrets were dark and have the power to alter the fashion industry for years to come.

Brittany is the one her friends turn to for strength. She is the “sweetheart.” Her faith has sustained her through her career and her personal life. What people don’t see is the pain and loss she has experienced just by choosing to love the wrong man.

Everlee is married to Frederick, a world-famous photographer. Their marriage is rocky, and her husband seems to grow more dark and sinister by the day. She has done a great job of hiding the nightmare her marriage has become, but her life may be in danger by the man who vowed to love and protect her.

Lastly, there is Zoe. She has worked so hard to make her dreams a reality. Dane has been her weak spot as long as she can remember. She thinks his darkness will consume her, yet she is drawn to him. Now, she has to put all her trust in him, but he has a price...marry him.

The relationship between these women is incredibly special. Without their bond throughout the years, they could have easily lost their souls to the dark side of the industry.

The duo of Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken (who is one of my all-time favorite writers) make one heck of a team. I am in awe of both of these women! It was amazing how they made Danica such a central character even though she has passed away. She is such an integral part of the book.

It also gives an inside look into the world of high fashion and modeling. A romance doesn’t always delve into dark issues, but this one does. So much of our society glamourizes the fashion industry and the models, yet so many of these beautiful women and men aren’t seen for their more important qualities, just their looks and how many clothes or magazines they can sell. They are real people, not objects. What makes the book so amazing is that it is based on true events, and it deals with a very important issue that the authors deal with in a very sensitive way! It was a book I devoured, and it is one that will stay with me long after I finished the last page. I hope it will serve as a warning and change the way we see the modeling industry. While there was darkness, the authors also gave us a ray of light and hope. In my opinion, those are the best books to read!!!!!

This story has a slow hook but a strong one. It took me a bit to get into the jump between stories for each of the characters but once you get comfortable, it gets interesting. Life for them can be surmise in being a compilation of secrets and pretending to have control, just for the sake of power and fame. It's really sad for all of them, except for Dane. They call him the devil. He is the collector of secrets and favors. The one with the true power. The one that dares enough to do the wrong thing to make life right for the people he cares to protect. The story is interesting because Zoe, Everlee and Brittany are marked in life by different events (that to be honest are depressing) but if and when they are honest, they can help make each other's life better. Stop some pretty bad people and take a second chance to enjoy life the right way with support from their friends.

This one had to be one of the most unique reads I have read this year. Between the concept and the writing, I was amazing at what these two came up with. It is unique and spell binding that will keep you on your toes and jaw dropping! It is a great read!

Guys. I will admit, I wasn’t sure about his book what Rachel announced it. But I have yet to read a book of hers I didn’t fall head over heels for.

This one? This one was everything you are hoping it is going to be.

Rachel took a story that could have fallen flat and told in in a way that not only endears you to the characters but it breaths life into a story that is far too close to being so many people’s truth.

These girls are fierce and strong and you are their fans form the moment you start reading.

I had no idea where this was going after the first chapter and I loved that fact. I love that this was just as much a plot mystery as it was a romance and I was all here for it.

A dark brooding mafia-esque man and a fight for justice, yes please. Throw in all the underlying plots and the questions that loom page after page and you will be as hooked on this read as I was.

I have never read anything by Kathy Ireland but i love RVD so i picked up this book. RVD is known for her sweet and quirky love stories and i can tell both authors really collaborated on this as i did not feel any one moment was overly one persons story telling. I think the book was unique for sure in a way I was not expecting. It was admittingly slow but it was a fun story about the lives of four supermodels and how life isnt the best just because they are the top. I think I wanted more overall but it was a good read.

"Four women… Four very different paths. One incredibly cutthroat world. Welcome to the Jungle." As soon as I read the description for Fashion Jungle, I knew that I NEEDED it IMMEDIATELY, especially since it combines all my girl loves (and there aren't many of those to be honest). It surrounds 4 women in the fashion/modeling industry, with a big dose of mystery/suspense, which is completely my happy place. It all started out with a murder which needed to be figured out, and it was told in 4 different POVs of Brittany, Zoe, Everlee, and Dane. Obviously it means that there are twists & turns coming from every direction, so my f-bombs were dropping right & left. There's also some big drama, making for some serious angst filled moments, so yeah, it definitely checked off many of my boxes. Really, my only complaint was how slow going it seemed at first, but seriously, it picked the hell up 100%, which led to a HUGE reveal at the end! The duo of Kathy Ireland & Rachel Van Dyken, who blended perfectly together, really need (hint hint) to write more together, especially set in this world as I'm obsessed! Now it's time for you to hit your one click button to enjoy Fashion Jungle for yourselves! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
