This wasn't for me. I love RVD, but this seemed to be missing her usual spark and humor. I just felt like this book couldn't decide on what it wanted to be. There were so many tropes my head was spinning. Way over the top drama also.

What to say what to say..I tend to enjoy Rachels books, and I did follow Kathy Ireland when she was very famous, however I thought I would actually enjoy more. Not that I didn't but I expected more. I wondered what was fiction and what wasn't since the books is based on some actual facts and I think I tended to enjoy wondering what was what. There were 4 different views and sometimes I feel liked I missed something.. But hey you might get it and like it more than me..

“Four women… Four very different paths. One incredibly cutthroat world. Welcome to the Jungle.”
I have been a fan of Rachel Van Dyken for the past few years since I first discovered her writing through The Matchmakers Playbook. I finally got to meet her twice last year and I must say, hearing her and Kathy Ireland (whom I also met with RVD at a book signing) talk about this book and just sit back and watch them interact, I was beyond thrilled to take a chance on this co-authored piece of work! This is Sex and the City meets Gossip Girl! It pulled me in form the start and being able to follow 4 women around NYC again, brought me back to the days of SATC! It was told from each of their POV’s so we truly get to see if laid out with 4 different stories intertwined in these pages. Revenge, drama, suspense and the fast-paced hustle and bustle that is New York fashion are spread throughout this story and as everything begins to unfold, and we truly see what is going on with these ladies, the mystery and drama only deepen. I would love to see more and dive back into their lives for a sequel!

I’d give this 3.5 stars.
This was really hard for me to read once I got past the prologue.
There were a lot of POVs which I don’t mind but it was hard to focus on what was going on.

It was interesting to see inside the fashion world.

After the prologue it went a little flat for me until a little over half way when things started to get interesting again.

Super thankful for a chance to have read this book! Thank you Netgalley!

This was an absolutely amazing book!! It was not what I thought it would be...like at all! I loved the people, the writing was fantastic and most of all it was real. I love a book that is based on reality.  This hit all the points for me. Drama, intrigue, cattiness, and realism. It was an awesome ride.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a book written by Kathy Ireland and RVD, but I have to say I'm impressed. The fact that this story is written based on real life events is a little unbelievable.

This story is centered around four women in the modeling world during New York Fashion Week. It is a women's fiction book that had a touch of mystery and suspense and romance. I was hooked from the prologue and the mystery aspect really kept me wanting to read more. The conclusion was satisfying. Overall, a well written and captivating page turner. I highly recommend.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

While the prologue sucked me in, once we got into the rest it took me awhile to fully stay invested. This is told from 4 different point of views. We will slowly learn secrets and try to figure out this "mystery" while diving into the high end world of fashion. I love that each of the girls is so very different and that we understand their struggles and what they do to protect themselves. The deeper we get into their lives, the more exciting this book becomes.

Lies and deceit and yet friendship and love...we get a little bit of everything as this book unravels between the pages. There is so much goodness between these pages...it is just like an amazing show. Drama, etc...you will be drawn in as you turn each page. You will grow to love these people and all their flaws and you will want things to turn out okay for everyone in the end.

I had to sit with my thoughts after finishing my trip into the jungle. I’ve been waiting for this release since I first heard about it! So let me just say that what Kathy Ireland and RVD created here is raw, real, brave and oh so riveting! Just beautifully written! This was a wonderful romance with that great thrill ride included as you try to figure out what everyone is hiding!

I loved how you got four points of view. Initially I wasn’t sure how it would go, but man it worked so so well! This may be a story centered around a group of four women, but the men in their lives were no less multi-faceted. I was immediately captivated by Drew, a pivotal character and whose point of view was oh so fascinating!

Brittany, Everlee, Zoe and Danica. These four women, they were such a dichotomy of beauty, brains and strength. The friendship between them spanned so much and the loyalty to each other was everything. For all the strength they possessed, they also had so many insecurities and were living with secrets that haunted them. And oh the secrets! So many secrets that wove there way thru this tale. I couldn’t stop reading and couldn’t stop trying to figure out who each character was based upon!

This tale of survival, friendship, grief, revenge and love wrapped its way around my heart! I’m so glad that Kathy found Rachel to tell this tale! It definitely shows the grit of the fashion world and of life, that not everything that looks beautiful is on the flip side. But that if you hold on to your beliefs and fight for what is real you can find love and happiness. Absolutely amazing read!!

I had no idea what to expect with this one but I am a fan of RVD so was super excited to read this and this talented duo really outdid themselves with this one.

This one delves into the secret world of the fashion industry and tells the tale of four best friends who are fashion models. This book tells the highs and lows of being part of this 'Beautiful' industry.

I felt so many feels with this one, excitement, anger, laughter, sadness and happiness. The authors did an amazing job with the flow of the storyline and the characters. They obviously work so well and closely together as I have no idea who wrote what bit.

This was a great tale of friendship and survival. Well Done ladies

Fashion Jungle by Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken transports the reader into the world of high fashion with literacy genius as the authors masterfully weave the stories of four woman into a tale that will keep you glued to the story.

This story grabbed me from the opening words and I was thankfully able to give it my undivided attention as I read while flying... yes one of my favorite places to be with a great book! It was amazing how the authors pulled off these different point of views while keeping the story following and each character's view unique and on point with the story line.

Fashion Jungle follows four models Zoe, Brittany, Everlee, Danica and Danica’s brother, Dane while also crafting secondary characters with depth of personally that all lead to a crafted world that feels real. Ps I loved Oliver, and when you read the book you will know why too.
These women are successful models but the stories of how they achieved success and to some extended what they gave up to get there was so engaging and to know true life stores were weaved in made it even more powerful.

This book wove into some suspense as secrets start to unravel and well… I will not spoil anything, I will just say I truly loved how this one unfolded.

Fashion Jungle is a reminder that money and fame do not buy happiness and that influence and privilege sometimes mark very dark secrets.

I'd probably give it a 4.5.

I was given this ARC from by the Author through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Is it wrong to say that having Rachel's name on it was the only reason I grabbed this book? But I'm so glad I did!! I wasn't sure what I would be reading when I requested this book. I kind of thought it would be a Kathy Ireland sort of tell all about the modeling world. I loved the different point of views. The secrets the four friends were keeping, even from each other. I was pulled in from the beginning! I'm not sure if this a true struggle with what models go through with insecurities, jealousy and just how people are not who they seem but I could sure picture it. This is women's fiction with a touch or mystery and romance. Definitely would recommend! HEA

This book is written by Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken. Yes, THAT Kathy Ireland. The book has a unique pace, bouncing around between four main characters' points of view and between the past and present. While it did take a bit of time to follow the pace and structure of the book, it really works for this story. Knowing that the events are based on true stories make the book that much more interesting and also tragic. For fans of Rachel Van Dyken, this is a very different type of story than she generally tells, but again it works, which is a credit to her writing abilities. I went in this as a fan of Van Dyken's, and not really caring about fashion at all, but still was very interested in the subject and the story throughout. I recommend for anyone who enjoys Women's Fiction and is looking for something a little different than their usual read.

Fashion Jungle is a compelling read reminiscent of Pretty Little Liars (the TV show as opposed to the books). Everyone has their secrets and some will kill to keep them.

The characters are endearing in their individuality and their solid friendship which provides a much needed support system in such a vicious career field. The third person narrative is a necessity in order to control the myriad of plot threads taking place within the narrative; although they all lead back to the death of the fourth member of their group, Danica.

There are more than a few triggers within the story as well as an abundance of shocking behind the scenes details regarding the modelling industry. It is absolutely horrifying to think such things occur within what is considered a glamorous profession.

The downside for me personally, was the amount of religious reference used throughout the story. Fashion Jungle focuses heavily on faith and belief in a higher power, which is fine if you have the same viewpoint but it did feel a tad on the preachy side.

While there is an element of romance within Fashion Jungle it is the female friendship and girl power aspects that really stand out.

3.5/5

Love this author to pieces. I have read most all of her books. this one was just ok for me. It was not the writing style--that was spot on. I just could not get into the premise of the story. I didn't really like that we were seeing everyone's story with in this book. After reading the synopsis, I had hoped this was a series. And, finally, I apparently just don't really care about fashion. Didn't realize it until I started reading. Very vapish and superficial bunch.

Not my cup of tea but you may enjoy it.

Quite a departure from van Dyken's other work...must have been the influence of her co-author. I liked this a lot. Felt kind of soap opera-ish. Lots of storylines and shifting perspectives made it a compelling read. Liked most of the characters and would read more about them.

Only one word needed... amazing! That’s really all you need to know. It was so good and you need it in your life. Need need need.. ha. These characters were everything! Such a great and different from what I’ve been reading lately, kind of read. Pick it up if you haven’t yet.

Danica, Everlee, Zoe, and Brittany were the best of friends, the four of them first met when they were fourteen years old and moved to New York all with dreams of becoming somebody in the fashion world. The girls lived together in a cramped apartment, the ones who didn't make it was sent home but the ones who had the strength persevered. As the girls got older, they got wiser and found a new manager who loved them as if they were his own children. Danica and Everlee stayed within the modeling world, Zoe a fashion designer and Brittany wrote for a fashion magazine. They still made time each week to catch up and all was going well until the girls discovered their friend Danica dead and hiding secrets. The book then jumps to her funeral where the girls are faced with Dan coming back into their lives, he was Danica's twin brother and someone like Danica kept secrets for blackmail purposes. He could destroy people with the knowledge he has. His goal is to find out who killed Danica and why was she hiding? Over the year he spends more and more time with the girls who it seems have reached their end of what they can take and with each having secrets of their own, how much more can they keep appearances. Everlee is pregnant and yet her husband now seems more interested in the new models, Brittany was in love with Ronan and fell pregnant but gave up her child for adoption secretly and Zoe had a stalker whom she killed and managed to frame with help - his brother Aaron. The one person who knows all their secrets though is Dan - will he let the girls live in peace or is it time to cash in those favors for keeping their secrets contained? Fashion Jungle was a good read and reminded me of a dark version of Sex and the City with the underbelly of the Fashion World.

Rachel Van Dyken and Kathy Ireland…hmmmmm I thought this is going to be juicy. Four female main characters with fashion and romance? Right away I thought Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. Yes there were similarities but let’s dig a little deeper here. Kathy Ireland has had a long illustrious career that she transitioned from modeling to a business mogul with her hands in EVERYTHING else. As you get into Fashion Jungle you know that some of these situations are first-hand accounts. Throw in Rachel Van Dyken and it’s not going to be all Manolos and cosmos. It takes a Desperate Housewives twist. THAT mystery element was probably my favorite thing – especially in the second half of the book.

Right from the start we know that someone is dead. An accident? Maybe not. Then we’re at a funeral and everything starts to unfold. We get four different perspectives as told by Danica, Brittany, Zoe and Everlee. They dreamed of bright lights, big city and glitterati filled catwalks. Then comes the reality, little by little, revelation by revelation – if you want to cross the bridge then you have to pay the toll. None of them realizing that price would be paid in blood.

Each of these women has their ups and downs. Each one challenged and faced adversity, yet manage to rise and persevere. What really happened between these friends?! Why did one of them end up dead? The lies, betrayals and revelations are dropped like crumbs that we are eager to follow. All of it set against the backdrop of New York City and fashion week.

When we finally have the last piece of this puzzle all I could think was – I hope Kathy and Rachel are going to write another book. I bet you’re going to feel the same.
