There is something about this story that pulled me in when I didn't think it would be for me. I gave it a go, not just because Rachel helped write it, but because I always like to give a book a shot - you never know. The fashion world or models never really peaked my interest, but there is something about the behind the scene aspect that had me curious.

“Maybe it was possible to find redemption. You just had to look hard enough. And believe it could happen.”

With everything I thought this story was, it was so much more than I expected. There was loss, pain, and so much rivalry I was a bit shocked. The love, and danger, and surprising humor helped draw me in when I thought I wasn't going to be. Then, when I thought it was all good, I was hit with more sadness than I ever expected. This ride of a story based in the fashion world, it crossed genres so you could not pin it on one thing. I loved that about this book, and it's what has me recommending it to you.

“Life is life. Sometimes, things just happen. You can’t change the past. You can only make choices in the present that will affect your future.”

If I had one thing that I could tell you about this book, it is that you just never know. You never know if someone is hurting, you never know if that big smile is hiding the darkest secrets you would ever hear - you just never know. It's a true story about understanding someone's journey, accepting someone as they are, and loving them harder when they act like you shouldn't. The underlying current of hope, the thought provoking message, and the full on glitz and glamor of this book was flat-out amazing.

"Love is ugly, it's painful, it's full of sorrow, long days, terror-filled nights. Love asks for everything and nothing all at once."

Confession, I chose to read this book because I'm a Rachel Van Dyken fan. I saw the cover and read the title and thought I was gonna get another dose of her sass and humor. I was expecting girls' nights and laughter. What I got was pain and passion and secrets and suspense. I loved it!

Yes, I know the story is focused on the four girls on the cover. They are all models and holding on to each other as they fight to survive in the Fashion Jungle. But, I have to say, Dane was it for me. He is just...everything. He's alpha and sexy and bossy and badass. He's also sweet and protective and thoughtful and giving. Don't tell anyone though, cuz you know he's got a reputation, one that has grown men shaking in their boots. Oh yeah, and he's also the brother of Danica, who died and left a big hole in all of their lives.

I really enjoyed diving into the fray and learning all of their secrets. The story is told in multiple POV's and sometimes knowing a secret that hasn't been shared with the others was enough to have me biting my lip and my nails. I got so caught up and invested in their lives, anticipating what was coming, hoping one minute and worried the next. It was an emotional roller coaster that I didn't want to get off of. Well done ladies, thanks for taking me to the jungle.

Fashion jungle is the story of three friends who went to New York city to make it in the modeling world. However they get more then they bargained for and when they lose the fourth member of their group, things will never be the same.

Now a year later Everlee, Zoe, and Brittany are all struggling to survive. A marriage that is falling apart, a secret that wont let go, and a man that is nothing but dark secrets however he has loved her and never stopped. Dane has been part of the group for years thanks to his sister. When she died, things never were the same and he wants the truth of what happened. Zoe has always been his and he will ensure she stays that way while protecting the other girls too.

Their secrets, lies, and lives are going to all go through massive changes in this books and it's quite the journey. Things are never as they seem and more so in the Fashion Jungle. There are just so many twists and turns it keeps pulling you in farther and farther because it may seem they are all separate issues, they all combine together to form the story. I really enjoyed this book!!

Dane was determined to get revenge for Danica. She was a fighter she wouldn’t have committed suicide. Of these people who had somehow made Danica feel less her worth. He stared at the three women he would destroy them all. Fashion week was in seventeen days Zoe fought to keep her attention on her friends Everlee and Brittany. They’d fought tooth and nail for this moment. Twenty years in the modeling industry had a way of leaving women jaded. But it was worth it for this moment. Brittany had been America’s sweetheart for so long, it would be impossible to think of any other model taking her place. She was Editor of one of the most sought after magazine in the world and they still asked her to pose for pictures. Brittany was overindulging in the champagne. But they were aware of what day it was. They just didn’t know why Brittany always let loose on this day every year. Dane had been there then. He was always there. Rescuing, making the world think he was it’s savior, when he was the devil himself. Dane had always been bad news. Zoe and Brittany were still single looking for their person who understood the darkness of their past and they way it clung to them like armor in the present. Dane told Zoe he wanted to speak to her and they went into a private room. Dane told Zoe he didn’t like being lied to. Dane had known Zoe since she was fourteen and she owed him more than her life. He also said never forget who pulls the strings. Everlee laid in bed with anxiety pressing down on her chest making it hard to breath. It hadn’t always been like this. But it was a reality now. She tried to think positive. Not him , the past, about how each year seemed to add more time they spent apart. How each time they were together he became a little more aggressive, a little more violent, taking pieces of her heart and refusing to acknowledge he was doing it in the first place. Everlee had forgotten what life was like when she was so poor. Life had seemed empty than with so many rules: restrictions on what to eat, what to wear, how to act. Everlee had seen Frederick as her freedom. She had no idea she would merely be exchanging prisons. Brittany went to the hospital to visit Roger. She said she was his family. They all were- his girls, his tribe as he liked to call them, although they were minus one member. Brittany could never quite get how someone she loved so much was so continually inappropriate as Roger was. The surgeon told Brittany, the one thing he knew was Roger loved her so much more than he was able to love himself.
I loved this book. I loved the four POV we were shown. I loved that it showed the ugliness and sacrifices behind the glitter of the fashion world. This book had: intrigue, secrete, friendship, revenge, lead up to fashion week, passion, betrayal, murder, cheating, jealousy, turmoil, drug abuse, cruelty, loss, suspense, regret, and so much more. This caught my attention at the beginning and held it until the end of this book. I loved the intrigue, mystery, and suspense. I choked up at times and chuckled at times while reading this book. I loved the characters especially knowing this was based on the truth. I loved the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

received a free copy of this book from the author.

When I started high school I also started modeling. I never did try my hand at moving to NYC or any other major markets to become a high fashion model like these women. As I was reading this book I would find myself nodding my head to things that were mentioned about the industry or just the job in general.

It's hard work to make that job look easy. It's tiresome. It's highly stressful especially if you're vying for the top dog position - think Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Kate Upton, or Gisele Bundchen. They're the highest in demand and make the most money for each job they do.

In Fashion Jungle we have three women who've proven themselves in the industry but are now moving to a different side of the business. They came together as friends when they were first starting their modeling careers and are now a tight circle of friends.

Events in this book will play out in this story that will have you rooting for each of the women and their happiness. What that might be is different for each of them but don't get up on 'em. They're tough cookies to break. All in all their stories are ones of courage and perseverance.

I enjoyed reading this book. It's different from what you expect from Rachel Van Dyken but everything you think you'd find from Kathy Ireland.

Get ready for a trip into the lives of those who live life surrounded by the world of fashion. Authors Rachel Van Dyken and Kathy Ireland team up to explore a world behind the scenes of the ever changing world of the fashion industry. Murder, stalking, starvation, and glimpses into the personal lives of the characters will lead readers on a journey into a world that few have the privilege of glimpsing.

With a murder that starts off the novel, Fashion Jungle dives into the lives of multiple characters during the chaos of Fashion Week in NYC. Instead of following the chaos with the point of view from one of the characters, there are various 3rd person point of views that are not always easy to understand. At multiple places throughout the book, the characters will change without any indication that the narrative is different. This resulted in a lot of rereading to understand whose eyes were examining the situation at hand.

The prologue was intense and offered a glimpse into an exciting revelation to unfold. However – the first third of the book seemed to fall flat after such and engaging prologue. The last portion of the book really amped up in intensity, giving readers a chance to feel more invested in the storyline. In fact – I felt like the book would have been even more engaging had Ireland presented her escapades in the modeling world in a type of memoir instead of creating this chaotic world of fiction.

I have to say that Brittany stole the show when I look back at the different characters. Her story was the most believable and interesting. Although – Dane was a bit enticing. I don’t feel like readers had the full scope of just how devious Dane’s character could actually have played out. With so many lives intersection in the Fashion World – readers will enjoy a resolution to all of the modeling mayhem.

Fashion can’t hide the truth forever.

Fashion Jungle by Rachel Van Dyken & Kathy Ireland is a fantastic trip into the world of high fashion and all the mystery and intrigue therein. It’s the heart-breaking and painful story of four friends forced to grow up too fast by the industry meant to nurture them. I was spell-bound from the first page to the last. The writing just leaps off the page and yells for attention as do the characters. It was an ‘all-the-feels’ story and ticked nearly every box that I love to read about.
It’s a twisty, turny, roller coaster of a ride kind of story. It’s different and a topic not often used by authors so it felt fresh and new. I stayed up all night to finish it, it’s that un-put-downable.

How can you NOT read this book?!? I mean what did I just read?! Devil Wears Prada meets Sex in the City meets soap opera drama! Loved everything about this book! There was all aspects of drama, jealousy, struggles, growth, love. This story was told in multiple POV’s. Each girl is going through their own issues personally and professionally. The fact that these are all things that have happened... just mind blowing.

Great read that I didn’t want to put down and that I was not expecting. Rachel Van Dyken, with the help of Kathy Ireland, did a fantastic job portraying their stories to us!

One last thing is the only quote that I can remember because it was that big for this book... “Because that was the dream. Look past the face. See the woman beneath.”

Wow! That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Fashion Jungle! After reading the blurb for this book I just knew it was going to be absolutely amazing. And it 100% was. It’s crazy to think it’s based off of real life events. I generally don’t like books that are told from multiple peoples POV, but I just couldn’t put this one down!

This book gives you everything, from beauty to mystery to scandal and anything you can think of.

Four different lives and four different POV’s that leave you wanting more and more.

At first I was still trying to figure where it was going and praying it was going to keep my attention, but it did and it succeeded.

Awesome and I loved it.

I was so excited to read a book written by rachel van Dyken and Kathy Ireland! This book has sex, mystery, drama, and all the feels. At first it took me a minute to get into the narration of four different people but once I got in the grove I was hooked. Knowing the four woman and their struggles and stories you will be happy you will be mad there are just so many feels. This is a book you won’t want to miss, something different and exciting to read!

Wow! This was a wonderful book with so much going on. Four friends, all with different stories, but bonded through modeling and their strong friendship. I am not going to give any of the storylines away, but there are some surprises in there and it is the type of book that once you start reading it you don’t want to put it down. There were sections of this book that broke my heart and some that made me angry. Some of the things these girls and women went through, were ridiculous, but made the tale that much more gripping and dynamic. Even though some things were ridiculous, there where many good parts as well. The strong bond as friends, and the men that were sincere and truly love them. Many tender moments and even many swoon worthy romantic moments. As you can tell this book had many and all of the feels.
I would definitely recommend reading Fashion Jungle, Rachel and Kathy did an amazing job of weaving truth in with a story that will capture you and that you will fall in love with. You can not help but get bonded to and love most of these characters! It’s definitely one of those books guaranteed to leave you with a book hangover and wanting more!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

5 Stars

Omg, wow, what a read!
I’ve been so excited for Fashion Jungle to release and it didn’t disappoint. I loved that it was fiction but based on true events. It’s amazing reading how the world can be out there and the things these girls go through for fame. I’m not usually a fan of POV stories and it being in 4 POV I struggled a little bit overall I really enjoyed it still. I was able to keep up with it all.
Rachel and KATHY you have done an amazing job with book!

I loved, loved this book so hard. It made me cry towards the end and I had to put it down for a bit. This is a story that tells what models go through and what the industry is like. I felt bad for what Brittany, Zoe and Everlee have to go through and loosing one of their own. I really liked Dane no matter how he came across or what was said about him. Each girl has a story and uncover secrets from the loss of their friend.
They have what people think are glamorous and perfect lives but behind it all there’s a story to tell. I love that the girls are graceful and strong through it all. It takes strength to get through a lot in life and because of it all they grow and learn. There’s a character that reminds me so much of someone we loved so much in New York. I know it’s based on a true story but it makes me wonder about him and if that part of the story is completely true.
I highly recommend this book. I loved this book. Didn’t know if I would but I did. Wish I could read it again for the first time.

⚠️4 different women. 4 different struggles. All in the same jungle. This industry is cutthroat and it will eat you alive. This is your only warning. You can and will be replaced. ⚠️

First off, Rachel this is to you. Did you write this for me? I don’t know if anybody knows this. I make it very well known throughout my whole page. I am in love/obsessed with mafia. So incorporating an underground world definitely is what hooked me. As soon as I saw that I erased my calendar. I’m going to be busy until further notice. OK I have a lot more to say so let me get into it. Now I will say initially I put this off because I wasn’t sure if this was for me. I’m not into fashion. It’s just not my thing. So I wasn’t sure how this story was going to be for me. If I can’t connect with characters and put myself in their situation visually then I can’t continue reading. But this is Rachel were talking about. I had to give it a shot. So I did. I’m really glad I did. I did like this book. It was set up a lot different than what I’m used to. I am more of a first person point of view kind of girl but I got past that. But that’s not the only thing that was different. It was different in the way that it told four completely different stories in one book. Now I’m on the fence about how I feel about this and let me tell you why. Yes I liked how we got to see each story in one. However, I feel like we could’ve delved deeper into one story if it was focused on one person. Do I think it took away from the stories? No. However, maybe we could’ve got more of the story if it was only focused on one. Basically I’m saying I don’t know if Im missing anything. But I guess what you know won’t hurt you. I still very much enjoyed this book. All in all this book was great. Again I may be biased because Rachel is one of my top faves but don’t let the title fool you. Yes the basis is about the fashion industry but that’s not what it all is about. There is so much more and to be completely honest If it was all about that I wouldnt have been able to read it. In my opinion I would say that topic only takes about 30% of the story. So give this a try. It’s different and unique but SOOOO GOOD. It does not disappoint.

I do usually like Rachel Van Dyken's books but I was really struggling to read this one. I did like the writing of this one but the story just didn't keep my attention so I am not giving this a review because I just couldn't finish it.

I know some of you might enjoy this one but it just wasn't for me.

A very enticing read for the world of fashion. No doubt the two Kathy's outdid themselves. I recommend for those who want to see the limelight in certain realism to everyday lifeand fans of fashion and the Kathy's.

They are famous, they are gorgeous, they are top models.
And they have secrets and demons to hide.

This book written by Kathy Ireland and Rachel van Dyken was slightly different than my norma NA or A contemporary book. Shading light in the glittering yet deadly 'jungle' of fashion the story follows three top models, their lives, a man who will get his revenge and the mysteries behind a murder.

I loved Zoe and Dane as also Brit. They had chemistry and their stories were very good. Everlee on the other hand, faced a nightmare which will cause a disturbance in some readers so I'm giving trigger warnings.

Overall, this was a great book and it's recommended.
