This book was a pretty thorough look at building a brand - either individual, business or employed. The author covered public speaking and press releases in great depth, as well as touching on how to become an influencer. As someone who runs my own business I did get some interesting ideas to try in the upcoming months.

I do think however, that it could have been more comprehensive if it had been separated into influencer, business branding, employed profiles as I felt I was having to cherry pick the relevant points for my situation.

But a useful book for those starting out.

Personal branding is equally important in corporate world and in the world it's if startups. It plays different roles in both though. In my opinion personal branding is something to work on for a number of years and you'd better have a concrete goal and a plan in place. The good thing about this book is providing examples, sharp by step approach and exercises for self-training. The book is very good for someone who is just starting or thinking of building a personal brand.

I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a solid resource for building your own brand that touches on each area of media, including social media, and also addresses how you see yourself. There are end of chapter exercises which help you put what you have learned into action.
