A good read, which kept my attention throughout. I would recommend this as a good holiday reading book. Very enjoyable.

I have read all the books by this author this is by far my least favourite.
A very easy read the story revolves around Darcy a single mum of 2 boys after her partner died a few years earlier.
I wasn't keen on the boarding school flashbacks and towards the end it got very complicated and rushed.
Disappointed as premise sounded so good.

I received a digital arc of this from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I've read some of this author's work before and really enjoyed it and this was no different. My only slight criticism is that it was a slow starter - up until about 40% it was very slow paced for this genre. However from there onwards I couldn't put it down. And the final 15-20% - just wow. Didn't see the twists coming at all - my jaw actually dropped. Can't wait to read more by this author in future.

K L Slater always delivers a great read. Lots of characters not many of which are likeable!
Twisty turny wonderfulness

This was dramatically thrilling and i read this during an extended hospital stay, it was fast paced and got me hooked, i certainly wasnt focused on my surroundings during this read. The characters are all unrealiable and no one is honest. I always know if i pick up a K L Slater book i am in for a thrill, i know i will like it and as usual i never see whats happening even though i am convinced i do. Every Single Time

WOW WOW WOW I think this has to be one of the best books written by this author. The suspense was quite intense and it felt like a rollercoaster of a book. A smug smile to myself when I thought I had guessed who was the baddy, to then gasp when it changed again. Loved it

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining. The characters were complex while being completely entertaining.

This is filled with a cast of characters. Some of whom were unlikeable.

Gosh I don't know what it is, but a lot of KL Slater's books are so hit or miss. I end up forgetting what they are about because they are not noteworthy or memorable. And I feel bad saying that because she does create good stories, it's just she releases so many too quick that they blend together and I can never remember what any are about.

And sadly, this will fall along the lines of the above. This was a miss for me. I will probably forget it by the time her next one comes out. I even have problems remembering if I picked it up or not! :(

Single by K L Slater was a great book that drew me in from the first few pages. I was hooked and could not put it down. Plenty of twists and turns throughout. Another fab read by one of my favourite authors who did not disappoint me.

What a twisty book this was! I had never read this author before, but I will certainly be reading her in the future. This one had the reader feeling very uncomfortable without knowing who to trust. The characters were tricky and it was hard to predict who to trust. The last 20% got a little too coincidental and was difficult to follow. I had to reread to figure out what was going on. The ending was hard to believe as well. Overall, a fast paced and entertaining book!

I very much enjoyed this book. It has a good story and excellent main characters. I would definately recommend this book.

Darcy hasn't had an easy time lately - her husband Joel dies, leaving her a single mother of two young boys, Harrison and Kane. The secrets that she learns about Joel, though, are almost as painful as his death. Darcy breaks and ends up in a mental facility and leans on her in-laws to help care for the boys.
As Darcy attempts to move forward in her new normal, she is with her boys at a park when Kane has an asthma attach - luckily a handsome doctor, George, is there to save his life. Darcy and George, also a single parent, soon become closer and eventually move in together. But soon it becomes apparent that both Darcy and George are hiding some secrets that will affect their relationship. And not everyone is their lives are happy with Darcy and George being together - his ex, her ex in-laws, etc. Who can be trusted? Who is telling the truth?
This book was so twisty and turny that I didn't know which end was up! It kept me reading until late until the night until the very end.

A fast paced thriller. Full of twists and turns and woth a great twist. I found the main character a bit too naive but overall, a good read.
