This is a really good story. I love how strong Leslie is in this book, Malcom maybe the alpha of the pack but Leslie knows when she needs to be her mate’s champion. I didn’t like that he went radio silent for two days on her, that shows lack of interest in my mind or he is running away from her. I would have loved to see an over the top grand plan from the Alpha. This is a really sweet couple once they get together and when she tells him that she loosened the washers on her sink so he would come back, super sweet!

I love how this author was able to show a very dominant wolf shifter hold back on that dominance for the better of his mate. It really showed how patient a true mate would be in order to make sure they never harm their significant other.

Leslie was badly abused by her previous mate. She's new to the pack and and is completely clueless to how much Malcolm wants to make her his. He never wants Leslie to chose him out of fear, so it took a lot for him to be patient and wait for her to heal and be ready to give love another chance.

This was a great way to have an instant love connection turn into a slow burn romance. It was entertaining to see such a confident alpha stumble in his attempt to whoo Leslie.

Leslie has been living and healing with the Kendrick pack for the last year and half after surviving her abusive mate. This is a really sweet story, I like the how sensitive Malcolm is to her situation although I do usually prefer my Alpha males to be a bit more sure in themselves. The first few pages were a little bit slow for me and I do think that the book would have worked better if the background information was more spread out. That being said I found this to be an enjoyable short read. Thank you so much for ARC NetGalley and KR Press.

I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but I don't think that it really mattered. I certainly didn't feel like I was missing out on anything by not having met the characters before.
It tells the story of Leslie and Malcolm, who are wolf shifters. He is the alpha of their pack and knew from the moment that he met her, that Leslie would be his mate. She has been mated before, but that relationship was abusive and as a result, Malcolm is taking things very slowly. As they begin to reveal their feelings for one another, threat comes in the form of a feral wolf on their territory. Malcolm has to deal with this and protect Leslie.
I enjoyed reading about the developing relationship between Leslie and Malcolm. He was very sweet towards her and although he's an alpha, didn't try to completely dominate or control her. The only thing that I wasn't totally convinced about was the age gap. These are creatures that have very long lives, but even so, 200 years between them seemed a little bit OTT. I think that there's sometimes this feeling that the woman MUST be younger and less experienced than the man, but I'm not convinced that it's necessary and as I say, that much of a gap seems odd, especially when he appears and acts as though he was a similar age.
This is quite a short little story and I read it in a very short space of time. It was a nice quick read although that did mean that there wasn't a lot of room for huge character development, you don't always need that.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

ARC received for review

Quick, sexy read. It may have been a novella, but there was nothing missing or lacking in the story. Malcolm was patient and sly in courting Leslie, maybe a little too sly. Great seeing other peeps from previous stories.

Malcolm can be a tad bit impatient, "he leaned over, kissing her again. “Tonight needs to get here faster,” he growled against her mouth." I liked this quick read, I liked Malcolm.

Leslie finally feels safe and in a pack she loves. With her mom living close by and her son growing up in a healthy pack what more could should possibly want? Malcolm, the pack alpha knows exactly what Leslie needs and its him but he doesn't want to rush her. He loves her little boy and he is in love her Leslie but he doesn't want to rush her especially after the abuse she went through with her previous mate. He is hoping that she is ready and he can start slowly courting her but with recent threat to their pack he isn't sure how much longer he can wait because he will do everything to protect her and her son.

This new addition to the Crescent Moon series was really enjoyable to read and I'm hoping to read about more of Malcolm's pack.

Loved this quick, hot and sweet read!! Malcolm and Leslie are circling around each other not really know what each other wants. Leslie doesn't realize that Malcolm is trying to claim her and she really wants him to. Great addition to the series!!

I love a good shifter story and this was it. Chosen Mate was about Leslie and her son who had escaped an abusive mate. Her mate and his alpha were killed as they were not good. Malcolm was the alpha ofher new pack and he knew she was his mate but was courting her very slowly - so slowly she didn't even know it. The story moved along quickly and the characters were easy to like. Good story. I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review

I have read many shifter stories and I loved this authors take on this one. I most shifter books the alpha is this growly my way or the highway type of being. They find their mate and take control. I loved that is was different in this book. Malcolm knew that Leslie was coming out of a bad relationship and needed to think of her son. Malcolm was always close to her but he never pushed her into a relationship until she was completely certain and ready.

Leslie was ready to step back out in to the world and date again. She desired Malcolm but didn't think he was interested being he wasn't outwardly claiming her. She decides that if she can't have him she might as well start dating again.

I loved watching Malcolm interact with Leslie and her son. He is a good alpha and will be a good father.

Looking for a quick, sweet and sexy read that will make you smile ? Well this book ticks all those boxes. Leslie has settled with her young son in her new Pack following the death of her abusive ex and as this story begins has no idea the Malcolm, her Alpha is slowly but surely trying to court her. Plus the past isn’t really dead and buried but that fellow reader is for you to discover !
This did feel over very quickly but it most definitely made me feel happy whilst reading it. I didn’t particularly like the mundane names but then again it did make the characters feel real. The romance is perhaps too quick although admittedly a lot has happened before this book begins but I absolutely loved Malcolm and the way he sneakily held himself in check in order to woo Leslie. This was saucy and best of all in spite of the element of danger woven through left me feeling that all was right in the Crescent Moon world.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

Awesome read! Though a novella there is a lot of story included. You get a.sneaky alpha intent on claiming his mate. An almost feral old alpha out to claim what isn't his to claim and a sweet and steamy romance. I really enjoyed it.

Leslie had finally escaped her abusive ex and is now living peacefully in the Kendrick pack, with her infant son. Malcolm is the alpha of the Kendrick pack and has never found his mate in the two hundred years he’s been on Earth. Leslie has a crush on Malcolm but because of her background, she’s a little weary. Malcolm has know Leslie was his mate but he takes his time so not to scare her. The fireworks go off once they get together. Now someone from Leslie’s past is back and determined to take her baby from her. Malcolm will do anything to protect his pack and loved ones.
Short but packs a powerful punch. Mystery and wolves and romance. Who wouldn’t want their very own alpha wolf as a mate.. *swoons*.

A sweet, sexy romantic novella between Alpha werewolf Malcolm and beta Leslie.

Leslie's ex was abusive and she barely escaped with her life. She has slowly rebuilt a life for herself and her son Elijah in Malcolm's pack. As she has grown in confidence she has fallen for the sexy Alpha, never dreaming that he has been slowly courting her for the past six months.

This was short but perfect, loved the way that Malcolm was going slow, trying not to spook Leslie after her last relationship. Loved the sexy Alpha caring for Leslie's son. Loved the soupcon of danger and suspense when the feral wolf encroaches on Malcolm's territory.

I received a free copy of this novella from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Her chosen mate💕

I loved returning to this Crescent Moon series and remember asking for Leslie’s story as I felt she needed a happy ending after the ordeal she went through before❣️Katie delivered another fast paced story, that didn’t throw any punches and left me feeling super happy by the end😁

Leslie is happy with her new Pack and living there with her mom and son. But after being with the Pack for a year and a half, her wolf is getting restless and she’s thinking about starting to date again...all the while fantasising about her Alpha Malcolm. He’s been courting her for the last year but Leslie has been oblivious to his intentions until they talk frankly with each other. But danger is closer to them they either though and Malcolm will do anything and everything to protect her and her son❤️

Thank you to Katie, the publisher and Netgalley for my advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review🤩

A big thank you to NetGalley and KR Press LLC for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is book 9 in a series. It reads well as a stand alone. No cliffhanger. This is a it's story. It's pretty short, a very quick read. It's Malcolm the alpha and Leslie's story. I found it funny that he thought he'd been courting her for 6 months and she was unaware! 3.5 stars

He and she are both wolf shifters. She left an abusive mating and wound up in his pack. He’s alpha.
He wants her.
She wants him.
He’s been courting her for 6 months.
She was oblivious.

Overall, this one was pretty good.
I enjoyed it!
