I love books that will often bring to light snippets that I overlooked or never thought of exploring. This book's ideal for innovators or anyone who seeks to go beyond what is in their capacity.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

ARC: Raise Your Innovation IQ teaches the reader how to think differently so that they can be more innovative in whatever their job may be. This book is great because chapters can be read in any order. You read what applies to you. It is recommended to read it from chapter one because of terminology used, but it is easy to catch on to and understand. I personally read the book starting with chapter one and going in order from there. The best part of the book is that each chapter, strategy, ends with an action step for you to do. I found that the action steps really locked my understanding in place. I highly recommend this book and will be buying it for others.

Thanks to Netgalley for this copy. Read this in bite sized chunks. Great insight into how to apply strategic thinking to both work and personal life, to think differently and to stand out from the crowd.

In the current economy, there is a race to innovate and it is not easy. Higher levels of productivity with current business models have been reached, and innovation is more important than ever.

Considering that, this book has the right imperatives and coverage. It covers the multi-faceted nature, behaviours and practices which people need to imbibe today to fuel innovation, with some fairly good examples. However, if you have been in the work environment for a few years there is not much new material. As a result, in a competitive environment, this content and the examples are still somewhat short.

This is a still decent book to read as the principles are all sound.

“I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion.”– Alexander The Great appeared to be one of my top quotes from the book. Innovation is essential at any level of organization but the most powerful and impactful when it is a part of strategy and executive initiative. Great book to experience innovative spirit and learn how to close gaps in creative thinking.

This is a very good book about innovation, but it's best suited for people in big organizations and is a must-read for those. For us entrepreneurial types and small businesses, there are also useful tips, but some things are not so interesting. There is also a little lack of qualifiers, as thinking outside the box and outrageous is OK, but wasting time on what's impossible is no use. 2+2=5 will never happen.
