Excellent next book in an easy to read cozy series. Strong characters and a good woven story as Sarah tries to get the contents of a home owned by a pair of deceased CIA's agents ready for a garage sale. Someone else wants something in the house, and Sarah needs to find out what they want and who they are, and find out who killed a wife of a military man, and why. Along with her helper, Harriet, who has some secrets of her own, they get the contents ready for sale; find out the killer and along the way Sarah also has to deal with a neighbor who has someone ready to bump him off.

Sell Low, Sweet Harriet, the 8th book in A Sarah W. Garage Sale Mystery series hits all the right notes as a great mystery and an outstanding novel. Author Sherry Harris imbues the characters with depth and dimension that few people expect of a cozy mystery. Sarah's life and her relationships with other characters have been dynamic from the beginning. We have had the great experience of watching her grow into a stronger self-assured woman since her divorce. After years of devoting herself full time to her role as a military spouse the transition into a dating woman developing her own business has not been easy. Some of the choices she has made have surprised her as much as they have surprised the reader but we cheer her on through every step. Those unexpected decisions help keep the series fresh and keep the reader devoted to the series.

Even though I pre-ordered a copy of Sell Low, Sweet Harriet, I requested an ARC from NetGalley just because I couldn't wait. I always review books I love and I love all the books in this series. I was thrill to be approved.

Sarah Winston shines in this fabulous addition to the series by Sherry Harris.
As an ex military spouse, Sarah is used to going on base, volunteering at the thrift shop, and visiting her old friends. Unfortunately, some people find it odd that she still has a presence on base, so when she's asked to assist in a murder investigation, tongues begin to wag and makes things worse for her.
When Sarah gets a new garage sale job, she couldn't be happier, especially when she finds out the deceased owners were retired cia agents.
An impersonator, a hidden camera, and and exuberant assistant are just a few of the things Sarah is up against in Sell Low, Sweet Harriet.
You won't want to miss this exciting page Turner.

This fun cozy mystery with its well developed plot, interesting characters and a touch of humor had me hooked from the very first page. Sarah Winston is a former air force wife, who stayed in the local community after her divorce. She attends the funeral of another air force wife who was murdered while living on base. Because of her ties to the community the detectives on the case ask for her help, and when one of her friends becomes a suspect Sarah agrees to try and help clear her. At the same time Sarah, who runs a garage sale business, is readying the home of two former CIA agents for a sale when the home is broken into while she is there, giving her another case to solve. Between the two investigations and a steamy romance, Sarah has her hands full, but, as usual, she is up to the task. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for Sarah's next adventures.

It’s January and Sarah Winston has an estate sale that she picked up during her slowest season. But it’s not just any estate sale, it’s the home of a former couple who worked for the CIA and things get down right interesting from the get go. While Sarah is working through the contents at the home, the son of the deceased shows up and is knocked out while in the office going through papers. Turns out it’s not the son and he escapes from the hospital.

In addition, a young wife is murdered on the base and Sarah is asked to keep her eyes and ears open to help with the case. When one of the officers wives is suspected of the murder, the woman asks Sarah to help clear her name. With so much craziness going on and conflicting stories, how does Sarah separate fact from fiction? Can she or will she be the next victim?

This series is always a fun break from reality. Well written and a solid whodunit with a list of suspects and red herrings to keep you guessing until the end.

The Garage Sale Mystery books are in my favorite top five cozy mystery series. They’re interesting and informative about garage sales and life on a military base, and I can’t understand why they’re still being issued as a paperback instead of a hardcover book. They certainly deserve to be.
Sarah, living in a Massachusetts town right outside a military base runs garage sales for a living, and always seems to be in the middle of murder and crime investigations. Sell low, Sweet Harriet has four mysteries Sarah’s involved in. There’s the murder on base of a young woman, the house Sarah is readying for a garage sale keeps getting broken into, someone is after cheese store owner Mike, and Awesome is acting strangely towards Stella, his girlfriend and Sarah wants the answers to all.
Great plot, wonderful characters this series is a must read. Start with this book or the beginning and you won’t be disappointed.
