Thank you net galley for the advance reader copy of this novel. This was a contemporary YA novel about two teens that originally start off on the wrong foot. This novel felt familiar as I was reading it and it could be that many common YA themes appeared within its pages.

I really, really enjoyed this book! I loved that Jessica took the good girl falling for the asshole and made it where I didn't want to murder the girl. I loved that she didn't take anyone's crap and stood up for herself. Her independence was such a breath of fresh air. I was worried her mysterious past would take over the plot and leave the romance in the dust, but it actually added to the plot and I just loved it.

It read a little, at least in the beginning, like a slightly differentMean Girls

It’s been forever since I read Wattpad but the quality has gone up. That being said, if you hate cliffhangers, don’t read this book just yet.

In She’s With Me, the character development, for me, left a little to be desired. Especially as pertains to Amelia and her group of friends. They spend nearly 90% of the book together but the changes each of the characters goes through aren’t very distinguishable except for a certain few instances. I would have liked to have seen a little more details.

The burgeoning relationship between Amelia and Aiden was really sweet and cute. I adored it’s innocence. Would an Aiden POV chapter have made the whole thing better? Yes, at least for me. But this is just the lead in for what promises to be an awesome series.

While I do enjoy YA, I did't really enjoy this book. Couldn't really finish it since I couldn't connect with the characters and the book didn't really kept me interested.

I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

She’s with Me is a story about a girl that is running from her past and finds a motley crew of friends at her new school.

Okay I first have to say that I had no idea this book was not a standalone, so when I got to the end. I’m like wait what. Ummm…. So fair warning because you will be reading along waiting for the next thing that you are expecting to happen and then it doesn’t and then it’s the end and you are like whhaaaattt. Ha ha. It caught me off guard in a good way because I wasn’t expecting it.

So the beginning of the book reminded me of Boys Over Flowers(Meteor Garden) and F4. It’s funny because I always thought if I wrote a book I would want there to be a strong boy group like in that manga/drama. I did get some overtones of Mean Girls but also a little Grease. It was an interesting mash-up. It also does it’s own thing though I’m not saying it’s just going from one to the other. I did struggle with feeling like some of the plot was too drawn out and long, some things could have been condensed and the mean girl Kaitlyn was a little over dramatic. I’m concerned that she might need to speak with someone. I did really like the developing relationship between Amelia and the Boys (I continue in my head to call them F4) and a couple of the girls. I’m always a fan of hate to love romance. I’m not sure why but it’s cute to see them find their way to one another.

I was so mad at Amelia’s mom though. I don’t want to get all judgy on other parents, I try not to. She’s not real so I feel more justified. I’m sorry but what?? The way she treats her and the things she says. Plus she leaves her alone all the time with the situation she is in. I’m sorry what! I wanted to reach in there and say no, this is your fault lady. Ugh. Ughhhh.

Amelia and Aiden both have their own stuff going on and that’s what I think draws them together. It was nice that Aiden had more robust backstory to him and it wasn’t just thrown in there. He has reasons for the way he does things and the way he is. I did really like their slowly developing romance.

I liked Amelia as a character too. She is what she should be a teenager that wants a normal life. That finds it hard to just keep to herself and wants to have friends. She is very strong and willing to stand up for herself.

So overall it was definitely an interesting read. I had my suspicions about Amelia’s secret but I didn’t have it all figured out when the story is revealed. Which is good. I did really enjoy the romance between Aiden and her.

I am so glad that this one got picked to be published. I love finding stories on Wattpad and this one was amazing! This story felt so polished and well put together. I just finished this and everything was just so fantastic!! I need the next book now because I am just so in love with these characters. I do think that this could have been made for older teens. It wasn't all that dark and not as sexy as I think it could have been. That is pretty much my only disappointment with this story. I really hope the next one goes all out and that the author doesn't hold anything back.

Go Into This One Knowing: Addicting!!

I was not expecting to love She's With Me this much. It was one of my favorite books that I read in 2019. I am for sure going to continue on with the series because the ending was absolutely epic. It left off in probably one of the biggest cliffhangers that I have read in a long time!

The story is about a girl named Amelia. She is in the witness protection program. However, we don't figure out why until almost the ending of the book. It's one epic ride the entire time. Amelia has a romantic interest named Aiden, who is so hunky it's perfect. I love how protective he becomes of Amelia. It's the exact kind of love story that I gush about and love.

Amelia has a hard time keeping out of trouble and unnoticed. As a character, she is so relatable. I loved her and her friends so much. She's With Me is very character-driven. The only reason why I didn't rate the book higher is that it almost felt instantaneous that Amelia's friends started to love her. Where it almost felt unrealistic at times. You don't just become best friends overnight with people. All of the other characters knew each other for years but they became just as close with Amelia in what it felt like one night. Trust is something that is built. It's great that they were so loving and accepting of her but I wasn't buying it at times.

This was the first book by the author that I had read. I instantly fell in love with her writing style. The writing and language are beautiful. Her word choice allowed my brain to vividly see the story unfolding right in front of me. Instantly, I was engrossed in the plot and needed to know what happened. It didn't take me long to finish this book. I needed to know what was going to happen. So, I applaud the author for keeping my attention throughout the entire story. This is one series that I plan continuing. It's hard to capture my attention to want to continue on with a series but this novel did that so well.

The book is so intense but also equally as funny. I smiled a lot while reading the novel. If you want a drama-filled book then you have to give this wonderful book a try. You will not be disappointed. That was one big adrenaline rush. She's With Me is one great book!

Not my favorite read ever, but it was still enjoyable. It definitely had elements I liked enough to read it from start to finish.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this book. Yes I finished it, Yes I wasn't too fond of any of the characters, Yes it was interesting at times but No, I didn't like the romance, No, I didn't appreciate the slut shaming.
The summary of the book maybe gave me bigger expectations and I'm not sure the writing was as good as the summary.

“Telling the truth is sometimes harder than keeping a secret..

Standing out as the new girl is hard enough, but add in Amelia Collins’s dangerous past, and her life depends on sneaking through senior year unnoticed. But when she crashes into the schools most infamous heartthrob, Aiden Parker, on her first day, she’s suddenly on everyone's radar, and as Amelia becomes immersed in a new group of friends, keeping a low profile won’t even be an option- even if it’s necessary”

This is one of those books that grab you right from the beginning. Amelia's first encounter with Aiden on her first day of school was the perfect way to show the fire in Amelia. After everything she had been through she wasn’t going to let anyone push her around. And I fell in love with all the friendships she formed with the group of guys! They were so sweet and protective of her (when they could be). There was also a lot of violence in it which reminded me of the rivalry in classics like The Outsiders with a mix of Mean Girls with suspense thrown in. I actually really enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would despite some of the things that were super unrealistic in it. I don’t want to get too in detail about that because they are some major spoilers. This is another book that started on Wattpad and honestly some of my favorite reads lately have also started on there as well! This also has a huge cliffhanger at the end and I can’t wait for the next one this year!

This is my first read by Jessica Cunsolo and I really enjoyed it.
When I first started I forgot it was a YA romance but it just sucked me in. The story line added a bit more that is not normally included in YA novels.
A great read and I highly recommend.

While scrolling through all the available ARCs on Netgalley, I came across this gem. I was hesitant at first as this is a debut novel and it is YA. The description really pulled me in, but there were a few more reasons why this captured my attention. This has been on Wattpad and manage to score over 100 million reads. It actually won a Watty award for Best Teen Fiction. Impressive, right? I thought so.

That description, though, was what captured my interest right off. It was giving me Penelope Douglas vibes – think Bully. It was also being compared, when I first picked it up, to the movie The Client. That was one of my favorite 90s movies, so I was intrigued to see what the correlation would be.

Amelia, the new girl in school, bumps into the school’s bad boy, Aiden Parker. She becomes the talk of the school, something she is trying to avoid, when she puts him in his place for being a jerk. You see, Amelia has a past she’s running from. Attention puts her at risk of being found. Getting mixed up with the notorious Aiden Parker isn’t flying under the radar. But Aiden has demons of his own. Demons that set him apart from your average teenager. Are they the perfect match or the worst?

I’m going to toot my own horn and say that I was correct with all my assumptions. It did really give me Bully vibes as Aiden reminds me a lot of Jared. They also have similar hobbies. *hint-hint* Now that I’ve read it, why it was being compared to The Client. Although, I can also see why it isn’t being marketed that way any longer because there is only ONE major plot point that relates to the movie. Nothing else. However, maybe they should have kept that comparison because it was one of my selling points.

A word of caution – this does end on a bit of a cliffhanger. If that bothers you, you may want to wait until the next installment is available before diving in. And, trust me, you’ll want to dive in.

My final thoughts? It is a really enjoyable read. I highly recommend it to those who love a over-the-top high school romance with a dash of suspense and very low steam.

Well if you like a bit of YA high school drama this will be right up your street. The story focus on Amelia and her life in a new school. On the first day she bumps into the schools "skyscraper" pack of boys and instantly rubs a few people up the wrong way. She makes an enemy of the popular girl (kaitlyn) who is in a delusional relationship with the "skyscraper" pack leader and the story becomes focused on how Amelia and her new found friends are going to get one over on Kaitlyn and vise versa. We get hints that Amelia is running from something and I like that you get little hints of what it is to keep you interested. Was not expecting some of the twist and turns of the book which kept me engaged and I found that I didn't want to put it down. It's a very easy and occasionally predictable read but I was not expecting the cliff hanger at the end so will look forward to book 2

I don't know what I had in mind before reading this, but the book just kind of fell flat for me. I tried multiple times, but this book I couldn’t get into, which might perhaps be because of the very simplistic writing style. The relationships also felt too instantaneous, and the characters conversations seemed a bit cheesy and unrealistic. I guess this book just wasn't for me but might be for others of a slightly younger audience.

3.5 Stars

Sometimes when the mood strikes, I go on Wattpad and read some YA stories. Anyone else who does this? 😂

Well, this particular story here is actually getting published in a few days and I got an ARC for the revised version, so a massive thanks to Smith Publicity Inc. and Netgalley for providing me with this copy!

Now how do I say this without sounding a bit "offensive"?
For a Wattpad story, this was actually pretty good!
It's definitely not for everyone though. This book is all about the "breathtaking" and "gorgeous" guy. Then, the overall voice of the book is a bit "juvenile", the heroine says things like "Of course I don't L word Aidan [...]" and the story has a lot of petty and cliché high school drama going on (= prank war with queen B) that went on too long imo, but you know what? Despite its issues, the story was quite addicting. It flowed very well and was easy to read.
I liked both MCs even though I had my doubts about Aidan because he didn't leave a very good first impression but I learned to love him. Then, Amelia was already interesting enough from the blurb alone (she's on the run and assumed a fake identity with the help of the FEDs), but the fact that she was fierce and a doer made me like her all the more. There's also the friendship in this book that has to be my favorite aspect of the story. Amelia found herself a tight-knit circle of friends (even though she wasn't supposed to) who were so much fun but were always there for her when it counted.

All in all, if you don't mind Wattpad (I'm saying/stressing this because I saw a lot of opposers on social media in the past) and are in the mood of some light reading, this could be it for you!

PS: Cliffhanger ending!

High school drama!

Amelia has a past that she has no choice but to hide ... for the safety of everyone around her. Amelia and her mother have recently moved and on her first day of school she runs directly into a hot, muscular, angry guy. Even though she is supposed to keep to herself, she gets drawn into a group of kids that won't let her hide.

I just could not get into the characters. The author eludes to this big secret in Amelia's past ... but I was able to guess it long before it was revealed. I think that it would have been nice to have Aiden's POV ... it would have really added to the story. But I must say at the very end there was a twist that I really didn't expect ... and it's a cliffhanger!

I received an early copy courtesy of Wattpad Books through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

I had some expiations going into this book. I thought that it was going to be a lot better than it was because I have read previous Wattpad books and they were amazing. This one on the other hand I couldn’t get into it. I think that it was the writing style of the book for me.

I really wanted to like this book, but it just fell flat for me.

Amelia is the new girl in school, on the run from her past, when she becomes immersed in a group of friends, including the brooding Aiden. As she is drawn in closer to the group, she risks not only revealing her past but jeopardizing the safety of those closest to her.

I love a good YA novel, and am comfortable with the audience to which most YA books are written, but this book felt a bit over the top for my taste. It was cliche and sloppy, and in need of serious editing. When I read a story, I want to discover the hidden parts of characters, instead of just being told. And it seemed like there were quite a few side plots that didn't seem relevant to the narrative. I know there is a second book, so maybe some of these plots will come into play throughout the series.

There are so many great reviews for this book, so I think it was just not for me. However, the author leaves you in the most extreme cliffhanger, and now, despite my feelings for this novel, I feel the need to read the sequel just to know how it ends for Amelia and her gang.

Thank you NetGalley and Wattpad books for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

She's With Me is an intriguing read. Jessica Cunsolo is a new to me author but I'm happy I found her. She's With Me is a YA novel with shades of mystery, definite danger, and a bad boy I dare you NOT to fall for.

Whether you are a young adult or could be two young adults (age wise), She's With Me will have your interest peaked and your trouble radar blaring.

Aiden, Mason, and the other skyscrapers take just a few meetings to grow on you (like a funfus). Eventually you will be begging to have "a thing" too. The Boys will steal your heart and warm your smiles one shenanigan at a time.

Watch your back though, something is always brewing...

I am actually really excited for book two. I hope it's a quick turn around!
