Who to Trust

Archer was VP of the Red Dragons MC and lived his life with whiskey and monthlies. He didn’t believe in love and surely not anything to do with his best friend’s sister, Emily. With Pops causing trouble and the Red Dragons on alert Emily was brought to the club for her own protection against her father.

Archer was put on babysitting duty but Emily gave him a run for it especially when she left trying to get to her mom who had actually left the Red Dragons when Pops took off to form his own rouge MC. She felt she had to talk her mom into running away from Pops especially with the Red Dragons ready to take Pops and his men down before they got to them.

There were big surprises for Archer as he was running with Emily. It was fun hearing the banter between Emily and Archer as well and this thing they kept fighting. Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down.

Biker, romance, thrills & spills! This the third in the series and I’ve read all of them! I really loved this one. A good mix of everything and I didn’t want to put it down. Still scratching the itch the SOA left me with. Please don’t stop writing about the Red Dragons!

I've enjoyed all 3 of the Red Dragons books, and was thrilled to learn Archer's story as he had been in the first two books as an enigmatic character. The story is more involved than previously and was quite hard hitting in places, there are some very steamy scenes but all brilliantly written and with a great crescendo towards a happy ending. Brilliant stuff - I hope there's more coming.

Oh my!! Bring on the vapors. Heather Van Fleet has arrived with this hottie who was a scorching biker Archer with a purring between his legs that was all due to his bike. And he never kissed. Not on the lips. Not the ones on the face, at least.

I quote a line from the book

A good dicking can do wonders for a woman

Whoa!! That was the bad boy Archer's theory, and he had to babysit his friend's sister Emily, who wanted to cling to her independence. They banged and clashed as they had different viewpoints. Circumstances caused this bad boy to handcuff the hot girl to himself, and they went on a ride along the rocking routes which traveled quite a bit up and down the country.

My first book by Heather Van Fleet, and oh my, could she write the MC lingo well!! The words were raw and blatant. The thoughts clear, they were all about sex. This was a road trip love story which had the main characters getting their romance amongst the adventure and action scenes.

It was wonderful to see Archer sink deep into Emily and her heart. Emily was slightly annoying initially, but she grew on me as Archer grew on her. Their story was a slow burn romance, long as the days and they fell hard for each other. Both Archer and Emily showed the depths in their characters as the story progressed. Emily was bold and Archer lovable.

Action and romance in a MC were well written. Archer was the sweet to Emily's spice in this turbulent journey which was completely a hot ride.

As said before, I need the vapors... Why is is so hot?

A fun read.

OMG! This is a book with a capital B!

I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 previous parts but this one is, in my opinion the most beautiful. It has so many raw emotions that it pulled my heartstrings so hard they were on the verge of breaking.

It's true that bikers often have a bad reputation, but it's also important here to not judge a book by its cover. I admit they might scare you because of the way they look, but when you dig a little deeper, you might be surprised by what you will find under that rough layer. They fight for their 'family' through thick and thin.

Loyalty is very important, but when someone threatens the people you most care about, you are caught between a rock and a hard place.

Even under the gruffest exterior you might discover a vulnerable beating heart ...

The story had me under its spell and the author captures the spirit of the characters perfectly. 5 stars without the slightest doubt.

Thank you, Heather Van Fleet and Bookouture

Em sword an MC’s old lady was not going to be her life. Archer plotted on how to get Em into his bed but without connections, because he loved all women not just one, hince why he didn’t kiss. He didn’t want the ladies to expect more then a quick roll in the hay! When Em leaves to save her mother, can Archer save them both?

This romance was a very powerful story. The love between the main characters is realistic and endearing because I could literally feel their love for one another. But, I had a problem with the backstory. I didn't read the first two books and I felt I was missing something. Why were these two groups at war with one another? Some of the violent scenes may put off someone unaccustomed to them. I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Her Hot Ride is book three in Heather Van Fleet’s Red Dragon MC series and it only gets better with every new instalment. Archer and Emily's story is packed with exceptional world building, an intriguing plot and a few twists and turns along the way. I was captured by the character depictions and the relationship between Archer and Emily was fuelled by a combustible attraction that will leave you breathless. There’s’ so much to like about this book, that I hated to see it end.

I found this book to be mesmerizing and engaging. I found Archer to be not the most likable at first but he redeemed himself at the end. The scenario with his mom was just filler in my opinion but did not deter from the story. Emily I found to be pretentious at best and spiteful at least. She really made me want to throw my kindle throughout this story but I find that at the end I get where she was coming from and honestly I found that I really liked her at the end. These two really had me going throughout this story and I am glad I read this book.

This is my first foray into Heather’s books and it will not be my last. I love the enemies to lovers (or best friend’s sister, both fit) trope and boy was there sexual tension to melt your panties off. The dialog was perfect. I love lots of smart and funny dialog and you get it in this story. I guessed who was the traitor but how it played out in the end was a surprise. Archer and Emily were a great couple. Keeping this author on my watchlist.

This is my first read from Fleet. I'm a lover of MC novels so when I noticed this was available, I jumped at the opportunity. This wasn't my favorite MC novel - there was an air of confusion. The plot was simple enough but there seemed to be a complicated nature to the relationships and threads within the plot. I liked the relationship between Emily and Archer but some of their dialogue seemed forced. And then the plot surrounding Pop's was a little confusing and jumbled. I'm wondering if I need to read the other books in the series to better understand this book. I intend to do just that to give this one another chance.

This was a very good book - it was full of action, suspense and romance and it had everything that I look for in a book!

It was a real page turner, very easy to read and it had some really great characters in the book too that were very well developed. The interaction is the book is great too.

This is another great addition to the Red Dragon MC Series and I am really looking forward to seeing what the author releases next now too!!

**I received a copy of Her Hot Ride from Net Galley and Bookouture in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are mine alone and voluntary.**

Her Hot Ride: Red Dragon MC series book 3 by Heather Van Fleet I highly recommend that these be read in order as their is a continuing story line between the Red Dragon MC and Pops and the Rogues who have become his followers.

This is Archer Benedict and Emily Lattimore story with a MC road trip, handcuffs, secrets and a big reveal for both characters. Plus you have a climatic ending that feels slightly like there could be another book. Both Emily and Archer have ghosts that need to be resolved one way or another.

Emily Lattimore has a secret that she's been keeping from her brother and the Red Dragons, she knows where her mom is with the RD's enemy Pop's and she determined to do anything to find her. But she have to figure out a way to escape Archer who is her new body guard. However Archer has his own reasons for leaving the compound and finding Pop's but is he willing to sacrifice his own life while keeping Emily safe?

Archer knows that by finding Pop's including revenge for his dad's death but he didn't count on Emily trying to escape every time. Once they get closer to Kentucky there will be a flood, betrayal from one of the RD's that will lead to finding someone he thought he'd lost and another family member who'll protect Emily with their life while they escape. But falling in love with Emily isn't part of the plan or is it?

This series just keeps getting better and better!
Emily is desperate to find her mom and help her escape from the clutches of her father, the one time president of the RD, Pop. Archer, the VP of the club, is tasked with the job of babysitting, or body guard. So when Emily runs away to travel across states to find her mom, Archer is quick to follow. Together the two uncover lies, deception, and ghosts from the past. Can Emily finally find the happily ever after she has wanted?
Great biker book, had some twists and surprises at the end that I didn't see coming.

Well that didn't turn out the way I expected. And that's a good thing. The ending isn't completely predictable.

You have to love Emily's devotion to her mother. Question it sure but it is a sign of character. Some might say naivete. She's determined to keep herself apart from the Red Dragons and save her mom from the monster that is her father. Archer can't let her get in the middle of the long brewing feud between her dad and the club.

There are tons of twists and secrets to this story. It's onion-like!

Emily and Archer are great, the suspense is intense, and the plot, as mentioned, full of unexpected twists. Fans of MC and general romance will find plenty to enjoy.

First, lets talk about this cover. There are hundreds of bare-chested covers for us to drool over, but there’s something about this one that just calls to me. It could be that it captures Archer perfectly. It could be the model’s expression, which cries out with the sadness and pain that Archer keeps buried. It might be the hair or the tattoos, but I freaking love the cover.

I also love the book. From the moment he graced the pages of Her Wild Ride, I knew that Archer was the Red Dragon for me. Thankfully, he didn’t disappoint and his character was exactly how I pictured him.

Like books one and two, Her Hot Ride is a road trip romance. Emily Lattimore was tagged as trouble by Archer the day he met her and a few years later she’s proven him right. Determined to save her mother who has run off with her dad, a rouge Red Dragon, Emily sneaks away from the RD compound but doesn’t get far before Archer finds her. With reasons of his own, Archer handcuffs Emily to him and they set off to find Pops and his minions.

Her Hot Ride is my favorite book in this series and for good reasons. Everything clicked from the romance to the Sons of Anarchy-type action scenes. Heather Van Fleet has treated her characters to some off the wall adventures, but Archer and Emily’s felt the most real. Like all road trip romances it’s the adventures that move the story and romance forward. Archer and Emily’s was fluid and led to a nice slow burn (though there was room for the outrageous as well).

Character wise, Emily needed a pinch or two to wake up to reality, but I loved how she gave as good as she got with Archer. Archer…well you know how I feel about him. I really enjoyed watching him open up to Emily and accept that love wasn’t a curse. He’s also sporting an Irish accent that made me swoon. Her Hot Ride is also a “enemies to lovers” romance and I loved that dynamic. Van Fleet doesn’t rush this; instead we see Archer and Emily slowly come to the realization that they belong together.

Her Hot Ride can be read as a standalone, but I definitely recommend reading Her Wild Ride and Her Rough Ride to understand the more suspenseful moments in the book.

4.5 stars for Her Hot Ride. Heat level: 3.5

I am usually not interested in biker romance but this book was great. While the book starts off with Archer being a stereotypical biker, his character quickly develops and you can see the deeper side of him and why he chooses the MC life at all. The chemistry between Emily and Archer is so hot and steamy that by the time they actually get together, you're so built up and can't wait for it to happen. Great twist at the end too, didn't see it coming. Don't worry if you didn't read the other books, I didn't and still felt very connected to the story.

I received a free ARC from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

This is the third book in the Red Dragon's MC series. It doesn't matter if you haven't read the first two books. Characters from those books are mentioned and to be honest, the whole series is good, so why wouldn't you? This time troubled Emily, best friend to Summer and sister to Hawk, who appeared in the first book is the main female character. She is desperate to find her mother and save her from her Dad, who was at one time the club president but who is now, to put it mildly, a bad lot.
No one int he club seems to trust her and she is determined to leave them. Archer has been given the task to keep an eye on her, they've got on each other's nerves since they very first met, but the more time that they spend together, the clearer it becomes that there's something else between them.
When Emily runs away, Archer gives chase and goes with her on her cross country treck to find her father and mother. The more time that they spend together, the more that the feelings and chemistry between them begin to grow.
I'm really enjoying this series and I hope that there's more to come. Emily and Archer made a great couple. They both have problems, but it soon becomes clear that they are quite alike in many ways and together they make sense. There was great chemistry between them and I really enjoyed reading about them.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I was initially hesitant to read this book, due to the whole "I don't kiss on the mouth" thing in the book synopsis. Plus, he's literally just slept with another woman and talks about all the women he sleeps with in the first page. Usually this signals to me that the book will be all about sex, there may be some slut shaming and infidelity going on, and it becomes a DNF book. However, I absolutely loved the second book in this series and though I should give this a go. I'm glad I did! It was not at all what I expected and had so much depth to the characters. Yes, sex was a big part of the book, but more importantly, the book centered around looking past the exterior to learning more about the person within. It was really a very memorable book and surpassed my 4-star rating of the second book - Her Hot Ride is a solid 5-star read!

Archer Benedict can't stand Emily Lincoln, the sister of his "brother", Hawk. She's annoying, refuses to hang with the club members, and is generally considered a pain to be around. But her independent streak could put her in danger, and Hawk asks Archer to watch over her. Emily can't stand Archer either, ever since he called her the "hot version of a table" five years ago. After her father betrayed the club and took off with her mother at his side, Emily just wants to save her mother from the abusive relationship. But with Archer watching her every move, fat chance that's going to happen. A distraction that allows her to slip away results in them being handcuffed together, and with such close proximity, sparks are bound to fly. They may realize that there is a thin line between hate and love.

Archer and Emily were, quite simply, perfect for each other. They balanced each other out a bit - Archer reminding Emily to relax and enjoy life, and Emily reminding Archer that there is goodness in loving another person. Archer had such a sad past and it was amazing to see his carefree, tough guy exterior break down as Emily opened him up to the possibilities of a different life where he didn't have to be so alone. Sure, he had the club who acted as his family, but he figured the whole concept of love was dangerous and not for him. Emily showed him otherwise. By the time they fell for each other, their relationship had developed into something that bound them together. Almost like soulmates. And the way their lives became entwined even more, towards the end of the book? Even better.

Heather Van Fleet is fast becoming one of my favorite authors, and she is pulling me into the MC romance world. Can't wait to see what's next!
