I did not want this story to end. It was so good!. Tag's father died and he came home to settle the estate. He and his 3 brothers had all left home as soon as they were legal due to their father's abuse. Going through his fathers things, he finds something he can't wrap his head around. He heads to Scotland and discovers what his father had been spending his money on the last couple years. When he arrives he gets stuck in a snow storm, meets another stranded motorist and starts a romance that will change his life. The writing was so good, that I had trouble putting the book down The characters had amazing chemistry and the ending was so cute when Tag was so excited about his find. I loved it!

I enjoyed this book. It was well written and the words flowed on the page. Donna Kauffman is a very talented writer and I loved how she brought the two characters together in the beginning without one knowing who the other was.

A great story overall, that kept my interest throughout. At times though, the overactive libido got tiresome, and did skim through those parts, but otherwise a good story. Tag comes back after the death of his father and finds out about a place in Scotland he has been sending money. Going over there to find out what is going on, he gets into an accident on an icy road and gets stuck. Finding a pretty woman in a stranded vehicle turns into a night of passion. Naturally, she is the one he has come to see, although they both are oblivious to the identity of each other. Maura had an arrangement with his father, and now with the son she is creating a new one. Would recommend.

The Morgan brothers weren't close to their father. All four left home as soon as they could. Tag, the oldest was told to go. All were the victims of their father's abuse, and had nothing more to do with him after they left. Tag as the oldest was left to handle the estate.
Ms. Kauffman takes us through Tag and Jace's memories and the pair's confusion about the way their father was. Tag was dumbstruck when it appears he was left investment papers, letters from a caretaker in Scotland and a letter from his father seeming to taunt him about his chosen profession, anthropology.
After much consideration , he decides to go to Scotland to investigate the investment and the letter writer, Maura Sinclair.
Neither of them were prepared for the red hot attraction, and had a series of misunderstandings to iron out before admitting that they were always meant to be.
Ms. Kaufman weaves a tale that evokes a myriad of emotions with plenty of humor and steamy scenes.
I requested and received a NetGalley ARC to peruse and loved every page.

Set in the present day in America and Scotland. Maura is a Scottish clan chief trying to save the clan’s castle from ruin. Tag is the estranged son of an American branch of a neighboring clan who has been financially assisting Maura’s castle quest. Tag’s father has just died so Tag travels to see this investment. Tag and Maura first meet as strangers stranded in a snowstorm and their attraction is immediate. Although the plot seems to have more lovemaking scenes than anything else, the characters have depth and are realistic and very sympathetic.

I would recommend this to my patrons.

The story of Tag and Maura.

When Tag inherits his estranged Father's estate, he is intrigued by letters from maura to his Father, enough that he heass to Scotland to find her.

All is not as he expected when he gets there though.

A great read.

Catch Me If You Can
Donna Kauffman

One of Donna Kauffman’s Scottish tales being re-released, originally it was published in July of 2004. Taggart Morgan left his father’s wishes behind and studied history and genealogy. When his father passed he needed to leave his project in the Mayan Ruins and head home to help settle the estate in a remote town in Scotland. At the same time Maura Sinclair was trying to keep the large Morgan estate of Ballantrae running. Since her boss’s death, paperwork was filed and refiled but it was becoming apparent that she may lose the land and the managerial position. Driving along in the cold and the snow her car slid into an old truck driven by Tag Morgan. Neither vehicle would start and the road was clear of traffic. They found themselves in the back of Maura’s car trying to stay warm until someone passed by to help. Neither mentioned names only the trials that came to pass.
A road worker stopped to help and took them to a local Bed and Breakfast for the night until the cars could be towed come morning. Maura and Tag found immediate magic together. Thinking their togetherness would be for one night, neither ask for details of their business on the road.
The story continues on mostly with the ongoing affair between the two. Once back in the Castle Ballantrae their histories became necessary conversations.
I had not read any of Kauffman’s Morgan Brothers series. This was a first. Interesting, racey, and not as clever as her recent novels. I enjoyed the last section of the story more as it dealt with Tag’s local discoveries. Catch Me If You Can by Donna Kauffman will be released again on December 31, 2019 by Kensington Books.

'Catch Me If You Can' was all of sexy, sweet, and charming. Loved the banter between the Tag and Maura. Talk about storming the castle! Their chemistry was off the charts. Fast and fun read.

Thank you to NetGalley, Kensington Books, and Donna Kauffman for an ARC of 'Catch Me If You Can' in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
