This book inspire some aspects of my life. It portrays that life is really hard but if you do believe in yourself that you can and you start acting like a wholesome person, it is possible to be a great individual. It nevertheless makes me feel uncomfortable, yet it did makes me feel loved. So much love this book.

I loved reading the author's journey to self-love and the overall message of embracing the real you! As a counselor, I really appreciated the empathy and honesty in this book and I would definitely recommend it to a friend!

Self help books are always hard for me to get into, but this one was actually interesting, I enjoyed how the author shared her struggles and how she found ways to get through those times. I’m not a religious person but I would recommend this to those that follow the Christian faith.

Thank you, Wise Ink Creative Publishing for gifting me this DARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I was so impressed by the quality of this book. I needed someone else to write a book like this so I know that we all go through so of the same thoughts, fears and insecurities.

The end of each chapter homework was thought-provoking and insightful to reach inside to figure things out.

Thank you Achea Redd for creating this work. It is going to help so many more women!!!!!

This book is more religious that I anticipated, but that doesn't mean that the message wasn't good. I found this to be inspiring and useful for people who need a pick me up or positive messages.

For the start of 2020, I’ve read plenty of self help books. This was different (in a good way) and inspiring.

The author wrote a great book about letting go of the need to please everyone and to start to love yourself for who you are. Our society encourages us to be anxious about our appearances, what we have, etc. and the author of this book gets the message across that we don't need any of that to be happy as long as we have love for ourselves. This was a book that makes the reader think about their life and want to make changes.

This book is heavily religious, which I didn't expect from the description. In the beginning of the book, Redd states that if you are not religious, you can skip over the parts that invoke Christianity, but her religious beliefs really do inform the whole book. Still, I did appreciate that wrote about questioning her religion, was very vulnerable in the book, and she spoke honestly about having therapy and medication help in addition to her strong religious beliefs. Overall a good self help book for a specific audience.

I was pretty underwhelmed by this book. It has very heavy religious undertones, and although the author states in the prologue that the religious aspect can be overlooked if you don’t agree with it, I found that there was no possible way to “read around” it. The writing was clunky and choppy at times. It touched on many important self help topics but didn’t dig deep enough into any of them for me. After finishing the book I’m left feeling confused and not sure what the authors advice even was - aside from the overbearing idea that we should all find God.
