This book was received as an ARC from Berkley Publishing Group in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

From the first page as I read I immediately thought of the Covenant. I could not stop reading and I was so intrigued by the back story of first the Royal Families and Prince Regent after the defeat of Napoleon and how the curse came to light. Then years later we hear Nicholas Hayes is accused of killing a child and after his conviction, he returns with the same boy that he was accused of killing who disappears after Nicholas was murdered and now present time, enter Sebastian whose driver is a friend of the late royal who was murdered and can help him put the pieces of the puzzle together and discover who really was Nicholas Hayes and will he return to kill everyone else. This book is the Covenant meets the Changeling and everyone fears more for their lives. This is a thriller with some historical fiction added on which will do very well with our community. I could not stop reading this book and I was left screaming and shouting at the end.

We will consider adding this title to our Historical Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
