Such a cute romance! Building a romance through music isn't a new concept but it was well-done. If you've ever appreciated dive bar culture, you will feel at home in these pages. Many romances tend to focus 90% of the plot on the protagonists, but More Than Maybe had a great host of characters with plenty of development, even for the less-involved friends and coworkers. Vada is my absolute favorite, but really I want to be friends with the whole crew! I also loved the sub-plots involving Luke's and Vada's parents. There was some cheesiness, but it is a YA romance after all and honestly, that's why I'm here, but it was also a quality story with great characters.Thank you NetGalley, Erin Hahn, and publisher for the ARC. I really enjoyed this read, and can't wait to go buy a copy of Hahn's previous book, You'd Be Mine.

This was a really cute YA novel! I loved the blend of growing up, romance and music! Vada and Luke were adorable characters with really developed stories. The writing was great and the story flowed wonderfully. I'm excited to read more from this author.

I like that More than Maybe had developed protagonists, for the most part. I liked Vada, she was a strong character, Luke could have been fleshed out a little bit more but both overall were fairly likeable characters. I would've liked a little more conflict between the two, rather than an immediate connection, and maybe because there wasn't more conflict I felt like it went on a bit too long. I get that the focus was elsewhere, but the rest of the story's conflict didn't hold my interest for as long as it went on for. The ending was sweet and I think my favorite part.

I received an E-ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I thought that this book was so adorable. Like oh my fucking god. I couldn't get over how realistic it was when it came to their relationship of both liking each other and not knowing that the other liked them too. I loved the two main characters and the family dynamics taht are featured in this book. This book is more then just a cute contemporary, it shows different family issues and how the characters dealt with them. It was a fun read and a learning experience in a way as well. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

All I can say is wow! I devoured this book in a day and I just wanted it to keep going. This is a story about love, self exploration, forgiveness, sacrifice, and a seemingly endless playlist.

Honestly, Luke and Cullen's relationship made this book for me. I did find it hard to really understand why they were in Michigan, but overall that part had little bearing on the story. Vada is possibly the coolest female character I've read in a while. She was so grounded throughout the story both with her struggles, her hopes and dreams for her future, and her real life obstacles to making those dreams come true.

Luke and Vada are swoonworthy for sure, and I felt myself hoping for more of their relationship outside of their mutal love of music, but the music aspect was so good. I am disappointed I cannot hear some of these songs.
Overall, this was a icredibly enjoyable and adorable read.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange of an honest review.

Luke Greenly is introvert, a bit shy and definitely wants nothing to do with fame, after growing up with his punk rocker dad's celebrity. He prefers doing his podcast with his extrovert, outgoing, meddling twin brother and secretly writing and composing songs, without anyone knowing it. He loves writing, being in his own world and creating and he keeps secrets close to his heart, like composing and the crush he has for the music blogger Vada.
Vada has a five years plan. She managed to work at the Local Lizard (a bar) owned by the local legend Phil (her mother's boyfriend), she now run his music blog and she's been accepted to a prestigious music journalism program in California. And she has a huge crush for Luke, even though, until they decided to pair up for a school project, they rarely speak to each other, to shy and embarassed to do it. Slowly becoming friends and getting to know one other, both of them have to decide what to do about their feelings, wishes and desires.

More than maybe is such a cute and sweet book. Luke and Vada are amazing, funny and so awkward when they are around each other.
One of my favourite quote is:"Smooth, we are not", that pretty much summarise their relationship. They are dorky and I like their relationship very much, because they connect through music, songs, composition. I liked a lot when they text each other songs to seize their feelings or that moment. Vada has an awful relationship with her absentee father and Luke is pressured by his own, so they found a friend (and then more than a friend) in one other, being able to talk freely.
I liked a lot the side characters. Phil, the bar owner and Vada's "stepfather" (kinda) is funny and so supportive. What I loved the most are Cullen and Zack, because they are so amazing and THE relationship goal, to be honest.
They are so sweet together and I liked a lot the relationship they have with each other and with Luke. Luke and Vada are unbelievably cute and sweet and their story is really funny and cute to read.

This book is about love, first love and long love, friendship, family, desires and so much music.

This is such a cute book! I love this so much! Vada and Luke are the cutest, and I need more of them! This book is a beautiful story about these two teens who want to follow their dreams but also find love. This book felt a little like Fangirl and Radio Silence but so different! Erin Hahn did a fantastic job with this book! I love getting two POVs and getting so many details. The complexity of the characters really made me want to continue reading, as well. If you want an easy, cute, fun book to be ready, I would suggest this book!

I ended up loving this book way more than I thought I would at first glance! I was anticipating a story of music and first love but I got so much more out of it. In particular I was drawn to Vada’s relationship with her father and Phil. It left me in puddles of tears because I related to it so much!

Friends, family, fellow readers, & reviewers I am in love.

Now, now I know what you're thinking "Belle you are a serial romantic, it's just a phase." FALSE. This is the truest love guys the truest. Let me start by saying this book had me at the blurb, that's why I asked for it at NetGalley. Music is my life and I'm not just saying that. My father was a musician, I grew up at bars and band rehearsals. Melodies pump through my veins, not blood. So I connected with this book on an incredibly deep and intimate level.

Vada, can we be the best of friends? She's strong but doesn't constantly throw it in your face, it's not a showy strength but genuine. I like that she's not insanely girlie but still appreciates and good dress and can swoon over hot musicians. (what a mood right?) The author wrote her really well rounded and that's something that's hard to find in YA.
Luke, Jesus I really do love you. Like the amount of times I highlighted his parts and put into my notes about how much I loved him is insane. He had AMAZING development but still stayed true to who he really was. Him and his brother made me laugh and cry at times as well.
I loved these characters, truly all of them, even Marcus. Because they all played roles that needed to be played. They were so well written, each one was critical and well appreciated.

There is so much I want to say about this book, but truly I do not want to ramble on. So let me just say this. I loved this book because my heart connected to it in ways I haven't connected to a book in a long time. It made me miss my dad and appreciate all he did for my life in music. It wasn't some incredibly deep book but it made me feel deep emotions.

the first part of the book was a little slow for me, just ok but somehow the characters snuck in and i got behind the story and it even had me shedding a few happy tears. music, self acceptance, risk and fighting for who we are and who we want to be and who we love

More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn is the perfect blend of pop culture, music, and romance. The characters are well developed and witty, making the reader root for them to succeed and find love. I enjoyed the flow of the plot and how their affection for each other slowly progressed. Both main characters have complicated relationships with their fathers and help each other navigate their issues. This is a quick read that will leave you feeling good, with a great ending.

Oh Erin Hahn, how do you capture music loving teens so well? I adored You'd Be Mine and was looking forward to More Than Maybe from the moment I heard the synopsis. It did not disappoint!

Vada and Luke are such perfectly written characters. They're complex but realistic, driven but still insecure, they feel real but still like characters you can aspire to. They're surrounded by side characters you genuinely end up caring about and spend so much time in a place I want to be. Someone take me to the Loud Lizard now!

Basically what I'm saying is this, if you love fun, real, authentic characters who love music, their people, and the dreams they've made for the future then this book is for you. Preorder it now and thank me later.

You had me at a reference to Anna Begins... this is a book for anyone who loves a swoony romance with layers and heart.... and a lot of fantastic references to music and pop culture. I absolutely devoured this YA romance by Erin Hahn. This is my second read by this author and I enjoyed this one even more than her first. The characters of of Vada and Luke were fantastic and I need to read more about them! This is the story of Vada, senior in high school, writer of a music blog, secret dancer and lover of all things music. Vada has a huge crush on Luke who is the son of a famous British singer, pod cast creator with his brother), secret song writer and lover of all things music. Luke and Vada's story is complicated and beautifully written. I loved the development of their relationship, as well as the development of the relationships of the other characters. Cullen (Luke's twin), his boyfriend Zach (Luke's best friend), Meg and Phil were just delightful to read about. There were so many moments of friendship, love, parental relationships and heart that I didn't want the story to end! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Anna and the French Kiss by Perkins . Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

I can't imagine any situation that wouldn't make this book fly off shelves and into reader's hearts. Hahn makes the unconventional choice of having virtually no obstacle between her romantic partners. They love each other from page one. We just wait for them to say so as we feel all the giddy feels alongside them. They're both super charismatic and world-class talents at 18, attractive, caring, funny, and impossible not to like. The gift here is in how well Hahn puts her reader in a place where we feel what her characters feel. We get excited when hands brush or looks are exchanged or that perfect text comes through. We sense the loss when the lovers part ways, even for an evening. The supporting cast is rounded out with fun and loving people (with one notable and intentional exception), making this a world we want to inhabit. The music references are many, but those not familiar with the bands and songs can skip right over them while those more well versed in the scene can enjoy the little buzzes of "Ooh, yes, that!" It's no surprise that Hahn's already onto books 3 and 4, as her readers will be clamoring for each story. And I can't blame them one bit.

Encore Encore Encore!

Oh my goodness I’m so impressed with this book! It’s my first by this author and I’ve become a fan.

More Than Maybe is a fun and charming novel about your first love and all the things that come with teenage angst.

“If I slice open my heart and put the rhythm to song, will she hear it?”

I loved the characters, the music references, the story in general was beautiful.

I suggest having Spotify ready while you read this. The main characters have the cutest “thing”. They send each other songs based on what they’re feeling in the moment. I very much enjoyed listening to all the songs!

“I want to live in this moment forever, and maybe I’d like it okay if Luke were here, too.”

I’ve really been into YA lately and this is the perfect YA romance.
Please put this on your TBR and check it out when it comes out this May.

MORE THAN MAYBE by Erin Hahn is everything you'd want in the perfect playlist and the perfect book - sweeping moments of emotion wrapped up in poppy hits, romantic ballads and all the feels. You'll fall in love with Vada and Luke and their shared love of music and awkward flirting.

For the people who know the lyrics, for those who can tell you both title and artist with a few notes of a song, and for the ones who make playlists to fit their mood. Son of a rockstar falls for the girl who loves music as he does. Not just music, but the songs and artists who struck a chord in their heart. I loved this book . . . it's about really feeling the music and working towards the truth in your life. It is pouring out your heart on the stage, leaving it all on the dance floor, and seeking the moments in life that make you FEEL.
Point of Discussion: Vada is clearly a feminist and person who values the artist - would she really be okay with Britney Spears being on a jukebox?

An excellent follow up to Erin Hahn's first book. While the first focuses on rock music it still has that wonderful love behind it.
Two people who have an unmistakable connection but just haven't figured out the other one feels the same. It's a trope that keeps giving. With dual POV this delivers on the cute factor. The story progresses with significant growth by each character but also a bond that doesn't just show up in one page.
