I love all books Paris and this one did not disappoint. It follows Cat, who slept with her flat mate and declared his love, runs away on a bus tour across Europe to get away from the situation. Along the way, she meets 3 women who become close friends. As they are in Paris, she runs into her old best friend from grade school in Australia. Her complicated relationship past complicates things to say the least. This book was incredible. The countries they visited, the adventures they went on, all the wine, was a delight to read! This was my first book from this author and am looking forward to reading her others. What a fantastic read! ❤️

I thought this was a good book premise but not a great book. The cover is stunning. I don't want to be unkind and I know the writer spent a lot of time on this book and I have to leave some kind of review so I will simply say this one wasn't for me. My apologies.

This book definitely grew on me as I read, It. Cat decided to go away on a coach tour after a drunken one-night stand with her flatmate. Bonding with a group of girls (plus a few of the boys) she met an old friend totally out of the blue in Paris.
With descriptions of the places that they visited, some of which I have been fortunate enough to visit myself, the author brought these to life for me and I was distinctly peckish after reading descriptions of the food as well....
Behind the descriptions of the tour this story is about Cat learning to make new friends and, even more importantly, open herself to the prospect of having love, rather than just friends with benefits, relationships.
This is the first book by this author that I have read and, certainly based on this book, it will not be the last.

That Night in Paris is a fun, light, feel good book. I loved visiting so many sites that Ms. Barker wrote about so well.

Cat books a whirlwind European holiday after she makes things awkward by sleeping with a roommate - and then more awkwardness ensues when she runs into an old friend in Paris!

This has all the stuff I loved from the first book - travel, fun travel buddies (my shy, introverted self lives vicariously through Barker's characters!) and romantic dilemmas. But I think I enjoyed this one even more because the romance wasn't split two ways and there was a lovely amount of pining mixed in with denial. Also Jean-Luc was such a scene-stealer. xD A great beach read (or for when you want to pretend you're on a beach lol) for lovers of chicklit.
