I honestly was not able to get into this one! I'm blaming it on COVID brain. It sounded like everything I wanted in a book-- I love grumpy heroes-- but my ability to read has been compromised by my lack of attention span right now.

Thanks to Netgalley for the arc!

I'm always a big fan of grumpy/sunshine, and this did it for me.
There's something about burly men that are caring and soft on the inside that just melt me like a lava cake.
I loved the banter between these two characters, the writing style, and it was very sweet for a romance.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC for this book.

In this book, Zoey is a waitress from IL that has been saving her whole life for a dream trip to Alaska with her millionaire friend, Lana. Graham is a reluctant diner owner in the resort town of Moose Springs, AK, who despises the rotating visitors that clog up his town in the summer. Until Lana introduces him to Zoey, and his world is turned upside down. He is immediately smitten with the shy waitress and will do or say anything to impress her. What unfolds is a classic rom-com featuring a very frisky moose, a gala and an unlikely rescue mission.

Overall, I thought that this was a pretty cute story. I loved the character of Graham, who I found as a breath of fresh air compared to most romance novel heroes with his talkative mouth and ability to know what he feels as soon as he feels it. Zoey, on the other hand, I found a bit boring and missing a lot of backstory. We learn she never went to college and is ashamed about it. But why didn't she go? And we learn that she scrapes by financially (having saved everything for this trip) but why hasn't she left the truck stop she works at? Why is she so obsessed with visiting Alaska as a dream trip? (Me, I'd go for like an island off the coast of Greece...) She was a bit lacking for me. By the end, I was looking forward to more scenes about Lana and her plans for the town. I think that might lead me to read the next in the series. Overall I give this one a 3.25/5 while being very hopeful that the following in the series will be more my style.

If you are looking for a sexy/steamy romance, this is not the book for you. I personally found this to be a breath of fresh air, I would give it a PG-13 in terms of spice/steam. Very much a rom-com level.

Never did I expect to almost cry over a (fictional) moose. Believe me, if you have read this novel...you'll know why.

Aside from that disclaimer, this was such a fun read. It was humorous and the relationship was charming and enchanting. Even if it didn't necessarily start out that way.

An unexpected outcome that occurred from this story was that I got a different perspective on being a tourist, especially in smaller communities. Prior to reading this novel, I did know of some of the positive and negative impacts surrounding tourism in small communities but I hadn't thought of the impacts laid out in this story.

If I was to sum up this book in one word, that word would be 'fun'. Although there were some serious issues ingrained into the story, it was such a fun and enjoyable read that was exactly what I needed at the time.

***Thank you to the publisher for supplying me with an ARC of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***

Meh. That was how I was left feeling at the end of this one. I really expected it to be a knockout!⁣

There were plenty of good bits to keep me reading. It was humorous and there were some great characters *cough cough* Ulysses. And an Alaskan setting is always a plus!⁣

What didn’t work for me is that it took half the book for Graham and Zoey to even commit to anything low-key, let alone some steam, and this mostly made me annoyed. And then it had all these weird and awkward happenings, that I think were supposed to be funny and maybe were in the authors mind, but translated onto paper gave me MAJOR second hand embarrassment and it was hard to keep reading. If you’ve read it....waxing + moose!! And no one batted a damn eye!⁣

Anyways, if it wasn’t for Grass and Ulysses I probably would’ve DNF’d it but I finished and it turned out just okay. They all cannot be winners!⁣

This book was a quick but fun read. I really enjoyed the characters and romance. The setting in Alaska was interesting and not one I see in romances too often.

4.5 stars

Honestly? This book just made me happy. It's the perfect escape.

Graham is my favorite kind of adorable grump. He's grumpy at everyone but everyone loves him cause that's just his thing. Graham loves his town more than anything and I love watching him defend it.
The setting was magical and I just wanna go to Alaska and meet my own Graham. I also really loved Zoey because she's just determined to have the adventure of a lifetime. She has this ridiculously rich best friend but she's determined to make her own way. She doesn't want hand outs. I love that she works super hard in order to afford this trip but still makes the absolute best of every moment.

I just loved watching Graham follow her around, I loved Jake, and I'm definitely intrigued about what's going to happen with Lana's plans for Moose Springs.

This was a really fun and wholesome book! I loved both main characters and their adorable chemistry. Their banter was super sassy and I just ate up Graham’s and Zoe’s interactions. Graham is super funny and Zoe very enthusiastic. I loved them. I Also enjoyed having the more deep parts of the story and was happy when everything fell into place.

I really tried hard to like this book. I was so excited that it was set in Alaska, and would be a fun, light, vacation-y read. Unfortunately, it missed the mark for me. I found the characters were just kind of bland and unremarkable, and the story itself was slow so I ended up DNFing it with the last 50 pages or so going unread.

This was a cute romantic comedy. Although I didn't love the book like I have with some other romantic comedies, I thought it was a cute read and enjoyed it enough to feel positive about it. The dialogue was great between the two main characters. I loved reading about Zoey's misadventures visiting Alaska. I felt the ending was a little rushed and too predictable. There wasn't as much romance in it as I would have liked and kind of a lot of filler depicting what Zoey is doing every day.

This was a cute, fun, light hearted read. The descriptions of Alaska made you want to go there. I truly rooted for each characters happiness. I recommended this to patron going on vacation, she said it was the perfect car ride read!

This was a really cute contemporary that gave me some feels for sure. This is my first book from Sarah and it definitely won’t be my last. I love the pacing of the relationship in this book as well as the chemistry between the characters. They were tons of cute little moments and it was pretty funny. I really enjoyed the setting in the book and it really made me feel like I was there and I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

Super cute, quick read- and I loved the setting in Alaska! It took me a while to warm up to Graham, but I loved Zoey's character. Sweet, charming, and romantic! Some parts were a bit silly but the story was great and I loved the ending. I'm definitely going to continue with the series to see where the characters go from here!

Moose Springs Alaska. Such a quaint little town full of history, friendships and wildlife. Oh...and did I mention the tourists? Meet Graham: He's the grumpy, but hot, diner owner/artist with a chainsaw that you didn't know you needed in your life. Then there's Zoey: She's the girl next door that got stuck waitressing in her small hometown and just wanted some adventure in her life, so she ended up on an Alaskan vacation of her dreams...or so she planned. Add in Lana: Rich, queen of class and Zoey's best friend. Throw all these characters together and you get one hilarious, whirlwind of a story!

I absolutely loved The Tourist Attraction. It had just the right amount of extraordinary scenery and wildlife, a dash of hilarious commentary and situations, steamy, slow-burn romance and long-lasting friendships. I was entertained from start to finish with this one and I can not wait for the second book in the Moose Springs series! I need more of these characters in my life and of course, more Moose too! Highly recommend for anyone who loves a good rom-com and books set in Alaska. It is rugged, fun and romantic!

The Tourist Attraction is a cute story and I really enjoyed it. This story is told from dual points of view from Graham and Zoey.

Graham owns a Tourist attraction in Alaska. He hates all the tourists that come through their town. He doesn't like all the stuck up rich people who visit. Zoey is visiting Alaska for two weeks. She has saved every penny to go. She runs into Graham often and they start to form a friendship of sorts.

Graham realizes Zoey is different from the other tourists. They don't want to start something since she will be leaving. When the two weeks are up will she decide to stay with Graham. Can Graham handle the heartache if she leaves.

This book had a lot of funny moments. I was laughing a lot and really liked it. I can't wait for the next one in the series to come out!

I loved this book! I was addicted after a few pages and read it all in one sitting.

I’m a sucker for a fun romance. My favorite character was Ulysses who is met in the opening scene. I hope to have more Ulysses in future books. 🐕‍🦺
.
The story is about Zoey who travels to Alaska and meets Graham at his restaurant. Overall, I loved their instant chemistry and banter. There is one scene where Graham seems to have a complete personality change which wasn’t in alignment of his character. The book is fun, with some PSA’s about the things tourist can do to harm an area without even realizing. 🐕‍🦺
.
Overall, it was good, and I look forward to the holiday installment! I love all things Christmas! It was a solid 3.5 Moose for me, I think if Graham had not turned alpha I would have enjoyed it more. 🐕‍🦺
.
I would like to thank @sourcebookscasa and @netgalley for an advanced copy that I didn’t download quickly enough and it went to archive...but I am committed and bought so I could review.

The setting is really fun and appealing in this novel, which will appeal to fans of contemporary romcoms.

Might be more of a 3.5, but I'll round up because i had a ton of fun and I just really love Alaska as a setting. Also any book that can make feel think of the cold in this scorching summer is great by me! This book was very cute! It had a fun setting and I am definitely looking forward to reading more books from this series in the future. My only real complaint is that the main relationship felt kind of.. shallow? I enjoyed our two main characters and I thought t they fit well together in the end, but I didn't connect to them and their relationship as much as I was hoping I would. Overall though, this was fun and I will for sure be reading the next books in the series.
