I have adored Sesame Street since I was a child, and this is no different.

The book is so simple and wonderful. The story is told in rhyme, which will make reading it to young children so much fun.

I absolutely adored reading about all of the things that makes a family on Sesame Street.

The illustrations were so beautifully done, and I think any child who likes Sesame Street will enjoy this book.

(My only gripe is that it doesn’t show families with two mums or two dads. But I guess Sesame Street isn’t that progressive yet, which is really, sad.)

5/5 stars.

This new heartwarming book is from the incredible Sesame Street group series "Love." Beloved characters from Sesame Street reiterate the importance of being in a family unit.

A family is a Petri dish where members are protected, supported, cared for, taught, grow and shown unconditional love. Grandmas and Grandpas are included, and vitally important, as they pass on the sacred family traditions, their elderly wisdom and of course the masterful art of spoiling the younger generation.

"It's your parents, grandparents, siblings and friends,
and the love the you feel as every day ends.
It's a hug or a high five, or a song that you sing.
A HOME is love, hope, and family, and that's everything."

Families come in all shapes, sizes and styles and a perfect definition is rendered on the back cover of the book: " Family is where the heart is."

The illustrations are very kid-friendly and adorable and the book is written in rhyme which is always a favourite of the younger set. The message is inspirational and positive. This would be a lovely asset for your home, a classroom and/or an elementary school library or as a gift to new parents. I highly recommend this book.
