Cute, funny, sweet, endearing. "Snug" is all those things, and certainly feels like an antidote for the turmoil and cynicism of today. However, I think it's best served in small doses. I think reading a comic a day (rather than the whole book in one sitting for a review) is the way to go.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing an AC in exchange for an honest review.

Welcome Back!

I am super excited to be writing this post! It's a little outside of my usual but I am here to talk about Snug a book of Catana Comics collected. This is the second book of it's kind and I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review. Something I have not really shared on my blog is that I love Catana Comics, these cute little comics are something my spouse and I have shared with one another for years now. A lot of them apply to us ( so they are super relatable) but also they are super cute and fun to share with each other. So when I got this ARC on Netgalley I was incredibly pumped and I knew exactly how I wanted to read it. Reading this book was a little different than I have ever done with any other book, I snuggled up on the couch with our kittens (though they did not stay very long, they had kitten things to do apparently), and my spouse. We looked through this together and it was a super sweet fun time!

The comics are super cute and lovey as always and were done in the usual Catana Comics style. There were a lot of comics in this particular book that we found funny or my spouse or I would point to and say yupp, or yeah you do that too. If you have not checked out a Catana Comic yet you can definitely do that online on their Facebook or other social media outlets but also you should check out their books! I am definitely going to be purchasing this second book to just have around to share again with my spouse at some point in the future. On Goodreads, I am rating this five stars.

How I read this: Free ebook copy received through NetGalley

This is incredibly cute, as Catana comics always are! There were quite a lot of new ones I hadn't seen in this collection, and I really enjoyed it. So did my boyfriend, as we were reading it together!

I thank the publisher for giving me a free copy of the ebook in exchange to my honest review. This has not affected my opinion.

Catana Chetwynd's comics on being in love with your best friend is nothing short of wholesome and sweet and never fails to leave me in a good mood. Life with a long-term partner in its many little moments are captured in snapshots in 'Snug'. Probably a great gift for someone you're having similar moments with.

This eARC of 'Snug' is courtesy of NetGalley.

I have been wanting to read something by this author for such a long time and I´m so happy I finally did. I adored this book! In reality there isn’t truly anything outstanding about this book, it is just a comic about love, dating you best friend and what it is like to be in a loving relationship but to me, that is perfect. For me, the best part is that it is super relatable, I could picture my boyfriend and I in all of this scenarios and I even texted some pictures to him just because of how relatable they were.

I adored this book, it is so adorable, and to think that it is based on the author and her boyfriend just makes it 10 times more cute. I love the simple art style and how even with few words it filled my heart.

I don’t have anything else to say other than READ IT, because it is truly worth the read. You will smile non-stop!

Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I had come across some of Catana's comics around the internet and always found them amusing!

Snug is a collection of comics about everyday relationship situations which are entirely relatable and adorable!

One of the best books I've read ! I love her comics and the story behind how she started is so pure.

Catana captures little things that make a day great and a relationship live through every battle.

I followed Catana's illustration on Instagram and they are really good. I'm glad she has a book with her cute relationship because now I can have it in my bookshelves. Everybody will fall in love with her drawings from the first page.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read it in exchange for a review.

I have been following Catana Comics across all my social media platforms for what seems like forever. I like, click, and share with almost all of my friends and family. A modern-day woman's Normal Rockwell is what I call her. Its a mix of heartwarming realness, laugh out loud goodness, and a love that shines through.

Though the themes bring the heart, its the endearing way Catana draws her beloved characters that combine it all to make magic. I am forever a fan.

Thank you for providing me with a copy of Snug!
I have now posted my review to Goodreads, please find it attached below.

'Snug is the best title for this comic collection.
Every single one of the comics that appear in the book emanate the cozy, snug feeling that you get when you spend time with someone that you really care for.
I’ve been following Catana on social media for a while now and I tend to relate to nearly all of her comics. I’m short, silly and in a relationship with someone who has become my very best friend.
But even if you’re not in the same position as me, I’m sure that you will enjoy Snug. It’s funny, heartwarming and the art style lends itself perfectly to the simplicity of Catana’s comics. She masterfully communicates feelings with a very short amount of panels and minimalistic art style. Plus, every character is extra expressive (including Murph!).
There is nothing I would change about Snug (bar perhaps making it ten times longer so that I could keep reading). It made me happy and I’m convinced that I am not the only one feeling this way!'

There is honestly nothing that I would change about Snug, I loved it!

I received an advanced copy of this from NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I honestly don't have much to say about this. I found it so odd and completely unrelatable. And I'm in a long term relationship. I found the illustrations and art style super cute which is why it's receiving 2 stars. I guess this just wasn't my humor or cup of tea...

Catana was writing about her relationship in this comic book, but why does it feel so relatable? It gave me the biggest smile, and I'm now bugging my boyfriend to read the book so he'll feel the same.

I’m a big fan of Catana’s Instagram account, and this book did not disappoint! Some of her comics are a bit too romantic for my taste (I prefer the quirky ones), but her voice and humor come across so expertly in the art and text that I can’t help but enjoy them anyway.

Loved this one. Super relatable for those short girls with tall boyfriends and people in relationship in general. Very cute and easy to read because of the comic style.

Oh how I love Catana and her comics that just ring so true and close to my heart. I don't know what else can really be said.

Well, except I was pleasantly surprised to see she has her own compilations! My faves are getting published in book format!

This was a very cute book. I haven't had a chance to read the first book by this author but that did not take anything away from it.

Having been with my best friend for 14 years I easily relate to almost every situation the author depicts. The drawing style is very simplistic which allow for a quick and easy read, except for when you can't quite make out what they are doing in the whipping scene. However, it did give me a laugh when I finally figured out what he was doing to her.

There isn't any character development but that is usually the case with this time of book. It is more like random snap shot of life and not a novel with a developing plot line. I think it would have been nice to have some sort of very lose plot-line to make the ending more satisfying and less abrupt.

Overall, I thought t was great and I would recommend it. It was clean so you can even recommend it to your friend without coming off like a weirdo. :)

Snug is so stinking adorable! There were so many parts that reminded me of my relationship with my hubby now, as well as great reminders of how we were earlier in our relationship - which serves as great motivation to reclaim some of those old ways and habits. I love the simple art style and how very relatable each page is. I can't wait to add a hardcopy of the book when it comes out so that I can share it with my hubby. 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
