Llewellyn's Complete Book of Reiki by Melissa Tipton is another great book in this series. It's very comprehensive, covering energy work in general, the history of Reiki, and all aspects of Reiki, and how to do Reiki professionally. I love that it includes plenty of exercises. I plan to get a hard copy as a reference.

As a person who has utilised Reiki for a number of years, I love to find ways to improve my own practice and to enhance the experience not only for the recipient but also for myself as the practisioner. This title has a great many exercises for the reader to follow, explains clearly the origin of reiki as well as how to utilise your full potential.

Its written from a point of view of one who understands the practice, has a great deal of advice and is easy to follow and refer back to. All in, as usual, from Llewellyn a title that will be used to as a reference guide time and again and is worth its weight in gold. Cracking.

Thorough Reiki text. A good, comprehensive compilation of information on Reiki. Larger than I expected.

The title fits this book very well, as you will find more information on Reiki in this book, then I have found in several books put together. It is well organized and easy to understand. The topics the author chose to include in her book are the fundamental steps to learning Reiki. I have a better understanding of how Reiki is a spiritual way of healing yourself and others after reading "Llewellyn's Complete Book of Reiki" by Melissa Tipton.

With all of the self-distancing and self-isolating, it would be easy for me to just read all day long but I force myself to do other things I love to do . . . like write (working on a revision) and cross-stitch (recently finished a quick project and returned to working on a larger project). So I have several different books in my reading rotation.

I was offered an opportunity to read and review Llewellyn's Complete Book of Reiki: Your Comprehensive Guide to a Holistic Hands-On Healing Technique for Balance and Wellness by Melissa Tipton. I hesitated because I find that any time I don’t sing the praises of certain types of books, it draws a lot of negative comments. But the temptation was irresistible, probably because of the word “complete.”

This is not Melissa Tipton’s first book on Reiki and it shows. In this comprehensive look at Reiki, the author is as thorough as one could ask. It would be easy to become overwhelmed with so many possibilities but what elevates this book to a necessity is a long list of exercises rooted in creating and developing a regular Reiki practice. Whether that means incorporating yogic pranayama breath work or using crystals and crystal grids, I can’t imagine that there is anything that has not been included.

For anyone wanting to utilize Reiki in any and every aspect of one’s life—and especially if you do not know where or how to begin—this book is an excellent resource. For someone new to Reiki, it may be a little overwhelming because there really is that much information. However, for anyone who is interested in enhancing their Reiki, I would encourage them to at least take a look at this book. As for me, I’ll be adding it to my permanent collection. I am thoroughly impressed. I may even look into some of the other books in the “Complete” series from Llewellyn publishers.

Although, I never fully understood, I reaped the benefits of reiki for years. Reiki has helped me to deal with headaches, and severe backpain for several years now and I thought it was about time I learned something about it. This book, seemed like the perfect place to start. This book broke it all down for me, starting with the different branches. There is so much more to it than I ever thought! The book explains the meaning of the hand positions. It always amazes me how it can feel like the person is giving you a massage and yet they aren't even touching you. This book explained all about the energy that is being manipulated. It was fascinating!

I thought I had known all the positive health benefits that reiki had been giving to me, but I didn't know the half of it. I wish I could encourage all people to be open minded enough to check it out!

Llewellyn's Complete Book of Reiki by Melissa Tipton immediately caught my eye when the publisher offered and advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. As a Reiki Master, I am often asked by others for resources that one could use to familiarize themselves with Reiki. When I look at my library, I often think "too advanced" or "too basic" etc. and I'm reluctant to suggest more than 1 or 2 of the books on my shelf. This comprehensive version, however, will gladly be shared with others that are interested in learning about Reiki or expanding upon their practice. Filled with a plethora of information and exercises, this book has it all! With the current state of affairs in the world, there seems to be no better time than now to utilize a collective, world wide healing energy. The timing of publication could not have been any better and I thank the author and publisher for providing the world with such a great resource for healing. Many thanks to Llewellyn Publication and Netgally for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an honest review.

It includes theory detailing why reiki practitioners and clients believe it works, history of the practice, instructions, diagrams, and more. Llewellyn’s Complete Book of Reiki is comprehensive, making it a great reference tool for reiki practitioners and masters, or an in-depth resource for anyone who has heard about reiki and wants to learn more about it from the perspective of a practitioner.

This is quite a wonderful body of work on the subject. I like the author's format, way of teaching the reader in a sensible easy to understand format and how it covers every aspect in depth. Very well done and one I highly recommend. This is a great addition to your library for anyone that wants to learn about Reiki.

Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the ARC. My review opinion is my own.

I read Melissa Tipton’s Living Reiki and absolutely loved it. When I seen she was coming out with a whole book of reiki I had to request it. I wasn’t disappointed and have already ordered my physical copy for my shelves. I will be referencing it often. Highly recommend to anyone interested in reiki.

A very useful reading. The author leaves no subject unexplained and covers all the doubts that may exist regarding reiki, personal, professional practice, teaching and even how to make this an income source. It includes so many techniques that there's one for each type of practitioner and therapist, some that I knew and others that I didn't, along with data of interest that serve when giving a more positive experience for both the therapist and the patient. There is nothing left over in this book that lives up to its title.

Llewellyn has been the go to for all things New Age for many years. The first Llewellyn book I read was over 25 years ago, and I still seek them out above any other today.
This definitive guide to Reiki healing is no different. It offers researched information in a format easily understood by the most novice to the advanced practitioner.

This Reiki book was very informative, I love to read others take on what reiki is and expand my own understanding of the practice. This book is timely as people are reaching out for more healing practices and are gravitated towards energy work and yoga. I thought that this book was well written and very helpful. It was easy to understand, especially when this topic can be sometimes hard to explain.

A wonderful book with well explained concepts. There are useful exercises that are easy to follow. I do wish there were more illustrations but alI in all I think it would be great book for beginners as well as those with experience with reiki.

I received a free digital copy via NetGalley, but the opinions expressed are my own.

I so love how comprehensive this book is. It covers many facets of the energy system and healing. The exercises were great. I've had a lot of patrons asking for reiki materials, so this will be absolutely perfect for our library. I will definitely be purchasing a personal copy as well as copies for the library. Thank you!

Well first off I have worked with Reiki and Crystal Healing for ages so when this book came up I of course had to jump on it and check it out. The author did a fabulous job with this complete book. It gives you everything you need to start out as well as go beyond beginner status. I love how much they toss into these compete series!! Even when you think they have missed something it pops up in the next chapter and there's still even more to read.

Just a heads up, any books that come from Llewellyn's line of "Complete Book of ___" is going to be epic and packed full of so much info it will make your head spin. I went into this book only knowing that Reiki is a form of healing. Now I feel like not only do I have a grasp on what Reiki is but I would even try it myself. Just wonderful information!

I can't wait for this book to be published because finding things in the paperback version will just be so much easier to me!

This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
