I found myself intrigued with this book by the description alone. I enjoy some genderbent stories so I thought a fairytale might be interesting. "Ashe and the Glass Sword" is a genderbent version of "Cinderella" and is a part of a series of genderbent fairytales. I definitely wanted to enjoy this more than I actually did. It fell a bit flat for me in both plot and characterization but it's an overall okay read.

I was very intruiged by this genderbent fariytale, but it was trying too hard to be filled with fantasy, romance and some erotic-scenes. It was just very so and so.

Of all the fairytale retellings I think this is definitely my top. I kinda liked how all the "known princess" are men in this book. I seen before I read that this was a mature book and was so on board for it getting half way through I was wondering where all the "action" was but boy did it come for force.

I enjoyed Ashe's character and the journey we take with him and his not friends Juleka, Snow, Rapunzel, Aurelion which sticks to the stories we know pretty well with just enough of a twist to make this book it's own.

I don't see that it's going to be a series but I hope it is. I need to know what The League of Villains is going to do with the out come of winning the princess hand!!
