I really enjoyed the first book in this series- it almost got a 5- and therefore I came to this book with a relaxed, bring-it-on kind of attitude. So it really came as a shock when I found myself struggling to pay attention during the middle section of the book.

I requested this title back before my blogging break. I have ended up with a number of titles that are overwhelming to catch up on now I am back from my blogging break. I am regretfully not going to be reading and reviewing this title, but now I am back from my blogging break, I am looking forward to reading and reviewing some of your future titles. Thank you so much for the opportunity and apologies.

When I started reading, I was utterly confused. Then I realized that this was the second book in the series! So I went and read the first book and then picked this one up again.
In Wilde’s Army, Kate finds that everything she loves is gone. She must listen to the god’s guiding her and form an alliance with a man named Perth, whom everyone as warned her about, in order to save the people she loves. She also has to build an army. Poor girl has a lot of trouble to go through.
This story is incredibly well-written, in a lot of ways. Number one, the language is beautiful. Secondly, the characters are fleshed out and fun to read about. The story/plot is so entertaining, and I can't wait for book three! Katriona is such a powerful female character, which I love reading about it fantasy stories like this. Her character developed so much in this book, and I loved seeing her journey. Can't wait to read book 3!
