Kyra has no idea why she can't seem to stop following the Reaper. Something about him has her unable to stay away. Dubhan knows someone is following him. When he first lays eyes on her he is intrigued. So he follows her home. Something about her is fascinating and confront her he will. When the time is right. Once that initial stalling is cleared up they will discover that they work well together and their chemistry is hard to ignore. The need go keep each other safe is a constant. Their journey is no different then the other Reapers and their women, the attraction is intense, there will be an element of danger and their coming together in the end will be satisfying and well deserved. There will definitely be some tidbits and nuggets for the coming war with the Others and you will not want to miss it. Satisfying and an easy read for a Saturday evening.

Dark Alpha's Temptation is a wonderful addition to this series. Reaper Dubhan meets his match in light Fae Kyra. She carries off lightness and good without being too perky or saccharine. She brings a much needed light to Dubhan’s life and a different point of view to their mission. I enjoyed this episode in an action filled adventure.

The war is coming? Kyra knows that she shouldn't be tracking the reaper but she can't resist. He calls to her but she can't seem to find out anymore about them. Dubhan can't understand how she has been able to follow him it isn't possible what does she want? Is Kyra telling the truth about seeing the battle and why has she offered to help him? Will they be able to find the answers that Dubhan is seeking? He knows that Death will need to be told about Kyra and what she knows, he fears what death will do. Can Kyra & Dubhan stand together as soul mates? They all agree that they need to stand with the Dragon Kings so that they can defeat the Others for all mankind but will they be able to win especially now that the dark & light have no leaders? What will happen in the coming days is anyone's guess but the war is coming. Another great read in the series, always good to meet new characters and to learn their stories. I was lucky enough to receive a copy from netgalley and the publishing house in exchange for my honest review.

Usail has been defeated...or has she? Questions arise about whether or not she is really dead since her body has gone missing as well as Balladyn’s. A little more is I covered about the others as Dubhan and Kyra search for Xaneth.

This story seems to be laying the ground work for the Dragon Kings’ upcoming fight against the Others.

Good interaction between Dubhan and Kyra. Good story!

A Fae provides the Reapers with a new perspective…

This is the ninth book in the Reapers series.

The recent battle between the forces of the villainous Queen Usaeil and Rhi who was supported by the Dragon Kings and the Reapers was unwittingly witnessed by a Light Fae from an old family lineage. Kyra Kavanaugh saw it all as it happened and managed to escape detection but how she was able to behold what had been enchanted to keep hidden is a mystery she ponders. She cannot elude the memory of one Dark Fae that drew her that day and has stayed in her mind and her sights, she now stalks him hoping that perhaps a Reaper could provide information on the missing relative she seeks.

Once a Dark Fae, the Reaper Dubhan is searching for Xaneth, the missing Light Fae of royal blood. He has noticed the Light Fae with the aptitude for changing appearances as camouflage who seems to find him no matter where he searches and that is a serious problem. The Reapers move in the shadows invisible to all unless they wish to be seen, Dubhan must discern how this Fae tracks him and why she’s doing so.

Unlike most of her kind, Kyra prefers a life among humans, a rebellious soul she turned her back on the expectations of her family and Dubhan is more intrigued by her than he cares to admit. Keeping her in his sights is in his best interests, her unique perspective gives light to possibilities the Reapers have yet to consider though her assistance soon places her in serious danger and she’s not warrior trained.

The saga continues, one battle down as another approaches, the Fae realms are in turmoil lacking top-level leadership, readers learn more of The Others and new to us Fae lore in this story. Death continues to allow her Reapers romantic connections which is a change from how she dealt with them originally, perhaps a lesson learned from the days of Bran. This reader was left with a nagging question: What really did happen to the bodies of Usaeil and Balladyn? It’s not just the presumed living missing.

Kyra and Dubhan were destined mates and very likable characters but she made more of an impression than he did. The romance was predictable, not much depth, one sex scene was found distasteful since it included anal sex with a finger, this reader prefers not to have to read deviant sexual acts.

An advanced reading copy was obtained from the publisher via NetGalley.

3.5 stars. The Reaper series has been hit and miss for me. The story inched the overarching plot along but I didn’t feel a connection to characters.

Dubahn is on a mission to find Xanath and is in a villlsge in Ireland when he realizes he’s being followed. Kyra is compelled to follow Dubhan, four times now, after seeing him fight against Usaeil and the Trackers at the Light Castle. Their attraction is instantaneous and danger follows them as they continue Dubhan’s mission together. However, throw in the Others, some crazy family members, a few murders and maybe someone who may or may not be dead and the mission to find Xanath has been put on hold to deal with the current situation.

There was a lot that happened in this story in a short amount of time. The Reaper books are shorter, almost a long Novella, that I never quite get to connect with the characters. Will continue to read them of course; how is this all going to end?!

Thanks to SMP for the chance to review this ARC for my honest opinion.

What a good story. It took me a couple chapters to get into the story enough to realize the story was related to the last book. The characters took their time acting on their attraction to each other and it was fun to watch it evolve. The twist near the end was heartbreaking but had to happen. A very good addition to the series.

I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review

Dark Alpha's Temptation is the 9th book in Donna Grant's Reaper Series. The Reaper series is set in the Dragon King's world. I love how the characters between these books series overlap and appear. Dubhan and Kyra are evenly matched. Dubhan is a Reaper and Kyra knows. Kyra is a light fae - and one of Death's rules is death to any fae that learns of the Reapers. There are visits from Cael and Death and we learn new things about the Others. These books are always enjoyable to read and I hope the series continues along with the Dark Kings as they battle the Others.

Kyra Kavanaugh is a Light Fae who has witnessed a battle between the Reapers and Dark Fae and her attention has settled on one of the Reapers, Dubhan. She thinks about him constantly and is able to follow him easily. Soon, they learn of a band of Others who are seeking power and come from both the Dark and Light Fae. This new knowledge, as well as the absence of leadership of the Dark and the Light Fae, will set up new conflicts and new alliances.

Thanks to the publisher and to NetGalley for an ARC; all opinions are my own.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

This is a great romance of a specific couple, Kyrra and Dubhan, in an overall series that has an ongoing story line. It has been awhile since I read a book in this series so it took me a bit to remember the characters and the back story.

There were quite a bit of surprise twists in this book and I don't want to give away these and spoil it for other readers but after seeing the Light Fae Queen defeated, I was not prepared for what was revealed.

A new group to face is brought to light and has ties to both Kyra and Dubhan. It was also great that we see more of the Dragon Kings and Cael and Death make an appearance.

Can't wait for the next Reaper's story! Will they ever find Xaneth??

Just as exciting as we’ve come to expect from a Reaper’s novel. We get a little more of the puzzle in the war against the Others. I loved Kyra and Dubhan and I’m hungry for more from the Reapers!
5 stars!

Dark Alpha's Temptation is the ninth book in the Reaper series by Donna Grant. This exciting series is a continuation of the Dark World series. It brings to light new faces and a new mythos along with a more in-depth insight into the Reapers comprised of the Dark and Light Fae who work under Death, who are the bogeyman of the Fae realm. While some of the favorite characters from the Dark World series do make cameos in the Reaper books, the focus is on illuminating a new mythos with brand new characters and relationships. We gained our first insights into this new world with Dark Alpha's Claim, the first book in the series. Since then, each book has opened a new chapter as we explore deeper into their world.

This book introduces Kyra, a light fae who somehow manages to pierce the veil and see and track one of the reclusive reapers. She can trace her lineage to one of the fae’s oldest families and is extremely intelligent.

Dubhan is a robust dark fae who was made a reaper by Death and is part of her second group of reapers. He, along with his compatriots, is one of the fae's fabled executioners on the orders of Death, who acts as Judge and Jury.

Dubhan and Kyra work together to find out more about the mysterious others and ultimately choose a stand for the upcoming battle royale. This book takes us closer to the final endgame and is genuinely spellbinding.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC

A big thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's Press for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of the Reaper series. I think they should be read in order to learn about the world. Pretty convoluted, maybe not a great read as a stand alone. Liked the love story for me the rest is just filler. Still a good read. Kyra and Dubhan's story. 4 stars

Dark Alpha's Temptation is Kyra's insta-love story. Although she's a bit wet behind the ears, she is a pretty good puzzle solver. How she fits into the overall series is very intriguing.

Next up, we have the ever-so-studly Dubhan the Reaper. Even though this novel was tagged "A Reaper Novel" I felt he wasn't put up high enough on a pedestal for the label. In fact, he's quite forgettable. He needed to have more of a stronger character and be less of a sex object. Poor guy.

As far as the series goes, Dark Alpha's Temptation fits in nicely. Donna Grant has a knack on adding stories into the series while also moving the plot line forward.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, so I could give an honest review.

What an opening synopsis......."when Death says your time is up, I’m coming for you…"
Purrrrrrfect start for me !!!!!

This beauty was Kyra and Dubham's tale. As with all of the Reaper reads from Donna your just hooked from page 1 until the end. I loved how Kyra was willing to do whatever it took to find her Aunt, even dance with the devil or should I say Death.......

Dubham to was willing to sideline his interests to pursue the spark between him and Kyra. Me likey that !!! I very much enjoyed how Donna kept me in the realm of the Kings/Reapers but entwined a beautiful, magical love story for these two.

Honestly I could ramble on all day about how good this book and for that matter ALL of Donna's books have been to date. I guess wonderful peeps its just gonna be up to you to give them a try !!!

Fabulous read Donna xxx Many thanks Netgalley.

Later peeps xxx

Another reaper novel with fantastic characters and great storyline. There was a element of simplicity but at the same time I just felt like this was not as exciting as many of the other books.

Dark Alpha's Temptation by Donna Grant is book nine in her Reaper Series. DAT can be read as stand alone. For best reading experience I recommend to read the books in order. DAT throws you right in the story. There's no slowly easying in.
Kyra, the Fae is following a mytical creature. The reaper Dubhan who is drawn to the Fae. The battle at the Light Castle is just around the corner and Death aka Erith and her mate Cael are in the middle of the mix. The war is going on, the Dragon Kings are involved and I greatly enjoyed reading this captivating and excellent written beautiful next book in this fantastic series. DAT is a Dark Kings Novel, 4,5 Stars.

Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read and give my honest opinion.

Another Reaper story... nicely done. Some delightful twists in this one as it takes place after the battle where Rhi kills Usaeil. In this book Kyra, a light fae follows Dubhan, in a weird stalkers like way.

What did I like? This was insanely original, it just piqued my interest then held it. Loved their chemistry. This is such an interesting story with so many new twists, it’s just magical.

Would I buy or recommend? If you haven’t started this series then I definitely recommend starting at the beginning. So many wonderful stories woven together!

Thoughts for author? Loved it! Keep these amazing stories coming!
