I enjoyed this read. I liked the character of Ginny the best as she does not let herself be pushed around. Despite her living in poverty, she never loses her kindness and, for the most part, holds on to her morals. I was not a big fan of Gabe and how he treated Ginny. I think the many times they were separated, he could have tried harder to find her and needed to do more groveling for the way he acted. Overall, this was a good read and one I’d recommend.

Wow! Talk about battered, bruised and still fighting! These characters have been beaten up, down, and sideways and they still come through it. Ginny, the heroine of the story, is from the slums. She meets Gabe, a titled Lord who wants Ginny to become his mistress. Most of the story is interaction between the two of them as Ginny tries and fails to refuse his advances. Throughout the story, the author hints that all is not right with Ginny, she has a hidden past that she cannot remember. There is just enough intrigue to keep you wondering what is going to happen. My only fault with the book is the constant up and down of the action. There are many characters introduced throughout the book with side stories of their own. This book would make a great mini-series. As for this book, the author could have stopped it several chapters short of the ending and I would have been happy. Perhaps the ending could have been added to Alice's story? Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I would highly recommend it!

Both Ginny Smith and Gabe Thorton have secrets, and it is those secrets that will keep them apart. Ginny enters Gabe’s life, as a maid, nearly employed for one of his reprobate friends. In an instant, Gabe is captivated by Ginny, but she will not be anyone’s for the taking. Gabe insists that he can care for her as his mistress, yet she refuses to be drawn into that life but soon finds herself drawn to Gabe, that she loses all reason. However, Gabe’s life also begins to unravel the day he meets Ginny, and he is forever tormented by his actions.
Their story is told over several years with Ginny leaving Gabe on two occasions. Without revealing too much of the plot, this was a story that was full of emotion, and with so many twists and turns, that I couldn’t tear myself away from it. This was such a great read and I especially enjoyed the story being told from both perspectives. Whilst this is the third book in the series, it was definitely a stand-alone book but I so hopeful that there will be another in the series, especially with all the amazing secondary characters in this book.
This book is definitely one to grab hold of! I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Destitute and orphaned, Ginny Smith has known only poverty. She owns nothing but the clothes on her back and dreams of a better life. When she is given a position as a maid in a wealthy household, she believes her luck is about to change, until she meets the handsome Gabriel Thorton, a lord no less. Gabe is demanding, sensual and determined to get Ginny in his bed…as his mistress.
Gabriel won’t let anyone stand in the way of what he wants; not his parents, not London society, and certainly not his past. Gabe always gets what he wants, until he meets Ginny, a maid no less. Ginny is stubborn, unique, smart, and determined to ignore his advances.
This is the first book I’ve read by the author & I’ve already gone & bought the first two books in the series. Well written with characters that have depth. I loved Ginny, she was a fighter & didn’t give up no matter what was thrown at her & believe me she'd been through the mill. I didn't like Gabe at the beginning of the book but he did manage to redeem himself by the end. I felt they were meant for each other. The book does start slowly but the pace gradually increases until I was captivated & couldn’t put it down. There were twists and turns which all added to my enjoyment
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Who is the real Ginny Smith?

Destitute and orphaned, Ginny has known only poverty. She owns nothing but the clothes on her back and dreams of a better life. When she is given a position as a maid in a wealthy household, she believes her luck is about to change, until she meets the handsome Gabriel Thorton. Gabe is demanding, sensual and determined to get Ginny in his bed…as his mistress.
Ginny has flashes of another life. Are they real memories or simply wishes manifested in her dreams.

Who is the real Gabriel Thorton?

Gabriel won’t let anyone stand in the way of what he wants; not his parents, not London society, and certainly not his past. Gabe always gets what he wants, until he meets Ginny, What is this past that he keeps under wraps?

This tale is one that is drawn out over several years. It starts out slowly and builds to a spicy and scintillating read.
This is the first book I have read by this author but I will be on the lookout for others.
I gave this book 4.25 of 5.0 stars for plot, story line and characterization. There are so many characters that it's hard to keep up with them all so it's best to concentrate on the main ones.
I received a complimentary ARC of this book via NetGalley to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

This is my voluntary review, in my own words for this ARC. WOW!! I do not hand out 5 stars without very good cause. This story has so many twists and turns and love....OH SO MUCH LOVE. Despite not all being as it seems, despite so many ghosts and secrets from the past, this story brings together those who were meant to be! Great read!!! Buy it!

A Dangerous Liaison by L.R. Olson is book Three in the Dangerous Series. This is the story of Gabriel
'Gabe' Thorton and Ginny Smith. I haven't yet read the previous books so for me this was a standalone book.
Ginny is a poor orphan who is just trying to survive life and the only thing of value she has is her innocence. So when she is offered a job as a Maid she takes it. This leads her to meet Gabriel who takes an immediate liking to her. Gabriel tries to talk her into being his mistress but she tries to resist. Gabriel wants Ginny so much but he starting to feel that anything with her he is going to want more than something short.
Enjoyed their story.

Wow, talk about a story that grips you from start to end! This is the first time I read a book by L.R. Olson and I must say, I'm VERY impressed. I went through an emotional roller coaster reading Gabe and Ginny's story, so many twists and turns and I just loved how the author brought it all together.

I loved Ginny's character, no matter how poor and destitute she was, she was always trying to help others and my heart just cried for her and everything she'd gone through in her life. I didn't like Gabe very much at first but he grew on me and managed to redeem himself in my eyes::) If ever two people needed each other, it's these two!!!

I definitely recommend this book, it's fast paced and there's never a dull moment. The way the book ended, I'm guessing there is another book in this series in the works and I'm very much looking forward to it!!

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
