Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for the advanced copy of The Prisoner's Wife, by Maggie Brookes, in exchange for my review. This is one of those books that you find yourself still reading at 2AM because you have to find out what happens. The story is a wonderful read about a young couple during WWII who find themselves as POWs, struggling to hide the young girl as a man, in the midst of all male prisoners. The author's descriptions of starvation, lice infestation, extreme cold and physical conditions is spot on. You felt like you were there experiencing it with the characters. Five stars all around!!
