I love how this story was so simple and hilarious. The alien crash land into earth and adore pizza i mean who does not. I love the way the illustrations were so adorable it is too cute.
He met a human and they became best of friends i mean he even went to school with a wig that's funny.....
His main goal was to go back to his planet and avoid the beige men from catching nate.
I would highly recommend this book to my nieces.

Nice book, but the concept was loose. No grammatical mistakes and the words we're also readable but I found the story bland and boring. It was too fast-paced and I didn't enjoy one bit of it. I had great expectations from it but it didn't even touch it anywhere. Still it's a good try.

Most books give aliens complex reasons for visiting Earth. This one picks a simple one - pizza. It's a silly premise for a book so we know we're in for a simply entertaining read. It doesn't have a lot of depth, though it encourages the reader to develop a n understanding of the world around them, to look at things more closely.

Alien Nate is a cute graphic adventure story for kids by Dave Whamond. Released 7th April 2020 by Kids Can Press, it's a compact 64 pages and available in hardcover and ebook formats.

This is a delightfully cute book covering some of the adventures of a kid-sized purple extraterrestrial called Nate who's been sent by his leaders to Earth in search of pizza. After a crash landing, he meets up with Fazel who helps him blend in and experience school, daily earth-life, and lots of earth cuisine in addition to pizza. Along the way, they have to outwit the evil vaguely governmental men-in-beige who just want to capture little Nate for their nefarious experiments.

This is a short book which can be read and enjoyed in one session and will appeal to kids of all ages (including grown-up kids who are still on speaking terms with their sense of fun). I also liked the subtle lessons of friendship and inclusivity.

Four stars, love the art and the positive (if slightly silly) message.

This was a cute and funny little comic, which even had some moral aspects in it for those who want to find that in a children's story. I also guess Nate the alien will perfectly manage to lure kids to read a book.

Nate is an alien from the planet Vega who's on a mission to Earth to eat pizza! When his ship crash lands, he befriends Fazel who takes helps Nate blend in and teaches him more about Earth than pizza.

Such a cute book! The graphics are very vibrant and colorful and Nate is just adorable. Nate is worried about blending in with others from the color of his skin and Fazel's friendship helps him overcome that fear and I loved the book even more for that. Nate's adventures eating popcorn, hotdogs, donuts, and pizza is humorous and his facial expressions are certainly me every time I eat them.

Another book about an alien who travels to Earth on a mission. This alien though not only makes friends and tries to hide from government agents but turns out he likes pizza. Though this plot has been rehashed over and over it was still enjoyed by my daughter who also loves pizza.

Alien Nate a "Vegan" arrives on Earth from Vega for one thing and one thing only, pizza. However, while there Nate realizes there is so much more after befriending a little boy and going to school. A short graphic novel without a complicated plot or round characters.

This book was cute but wasn't that great. It felt like it was for younger children that what I had perceived (this may be my fault). It's about an alien coming to Earth in search of pizza. Some kids find him and help him figure out how to get back to his own planet after. It's a pretty straightforward book with no surprises and no depth in the story. Art was cute. I would recommend this book for 5-7 year-olds.

Nate is from the planet Vega. They came across an Earth satellite with a golden disc in it. They ignored that. But what did interest them was the pizza inside. Nate was sent to Earth to find pizza. His landing is a bit rocky and soon Men in Beige are after him. Fazel comes to his rescue and introduces Nate to Earth while they try to figure out how to get his spaceship in working order again all while avoiding the Men in Beige.

A quick graphic novel alien adventure for lower grades. Lower grade readers should enjoy the silly humor of the book. There were some more subtle jokes I’m not sure they will get, but those may be in there to help the adults reading with kids stay engaged. This was fun but didn’t really wow me. A lot of the plot points were easily resolved and some things felt thrown in just to be more popular (like Fazel being either an immigrant or refugee). It wasn’t bad, though, and it was entertaining. The illustration style was fun, and the resolution was creative. If you’re looking for more scifi for lower grades or a new graphic novel for a kid who has already read everything available, give this a shot.

Soon after crash landing on Earth, Nate meets one of the locals, Fazel.

Eluding capture by representatives from the Men in Beige, Fazel manages to hide Nate at his house. Fazel introduces his new friend to more of Earth’s delicacies, including donuts, and all of the other wonders Earth has to offer.

The Men in Beige aren’t going to give up their search for this purple alien easily though.

This is a cute story about the importance of friendship, teamwork and using your imagination, although the narrative felt a bit disjointed at times. While younger readers will probably really enjoy seeing Nate trying to fit in at school and discovering new things, some of the pop culture references are likely to fly straight over their heads.

Reaaally short story, that is oriented more for kids than adults. If you love aliens and pizza, this is the story about "little alien who crashed to Earth, he's exploring new things there, new people, and is talking about nothing else but pizza". The art is cute, really nice, but that's it. For kids, it is actually good, for adults not that much.

A cute comic about Nate the alien who visited earth because he just couldn't get enough of all that pizza! It's funny and well illustrated, but very obviously aimed at a very young audience.

An alien travels to Earth in search of pizza (since NASA accidentally left a pizza aboard Voyager 1). This quick, funny story is enlivened with cute drawings, Men in Beige standing in for Men in Black, and a nice lesson in using your imagination. Best for younger kids, as older ones will see the story as simplistic and wonder how Nate can speak English, for example.

Alien Nate is about a little alien sent to earth to retrieve more pizza after his planet found a human spaceship with a pizza on board.

This was.. just alright. The artwork is cute and unique, the characters are fine and the plot is sweet but some of the slides didn’t really flow or would just cut off abruptly and it would feel like something was missing at certain points.

Overall, it was a quick, fine little read. I can definitely see kids enjoying this little pizza loving alien and his human friends!

“Alien Nate” is a goofy alien come to Earth graphic novel for those in grades 2-4. Simple premise: Alien Nate comes to Earth in search of pizza and finds that there is more to the big, blue planet than just good food. That’s pretty much it. Oh, and a few puns that only far older readers will get. Those who are desperately seeking more graphic novels just to keep their kids reading won’t find anything objectionable in this one, but there isn’t much to recommend it in areas like vocabulary, theme, or other literary elements.

It's a cute graphic novel for kids 6-8. Nate crashes to earth and wants to find pizza. He's from the planet Vegan, where they discovered pizza in the space satellite that earth sent up with a disk on it about earth. A pizza was also mistakenly sent. The Vega use 100% of their brains, but have lost their imagination so some earthlings help Nate fix his ship and teach him about earth and help him discover his imagination.

I'm not too sure about this one.

I started really loving it. It was very cute story of an alien loving pizza and him being stranded on earth not knowing anything about it.

I love the artstyle in this book. It's so cute and well done that you can see from the beginning what it's meant to show. I absolutely love that.

I really enjoyed the main events that happened in those 61 pages but one thing that really made me cringe was the dialogue.

This is a kids book and I understand that the dialogue is not obscure or at all advanced in that case. But the dialogue for this was plain horrid in my opinion.

The characters were very cute and easy to get along with. I think that was also a very good part of the book.

I would recommend this book for people that are just interested in the story.

Alien Nate is a fantastic MG book that would be perfect for struggling readers. What can bring two people together faster than anything? Pizza, of course. When Nate's ship breaks, his new friends help him fix it and bring pizza back home.

This funny story brings the Alien Nate to Earth in search of more Pizza. Once here he finds a new friend, Fazel, and more things to love about Earth than he expected.

The story provides numerous ideas directly to the reader through set-aside boxes that act like synopsis of the action. Because of this, Alien Nate feels perfect for the very early middle grade reader or the budding graphic novel kid. A more advanced reader might be chafe at having the information explained in this manner.

The only problem I had with the story was the repetition of the erroneous belief that humans use less than 10% of their brain. Otherwise, the illustrations are adorable and I loved how the children worked together to help Nate!
