Find More Money by Art Rainer is a good read for those wanting to know how to make ends meet. It provides suggestions for those with a regular full-time job and assists with consideration for part-time or side jobs. The first part of the book provides research and statistics, giving an idea of how Americans are living, many paycheck to paycheck. Some of the topics covered include:

- Evaluating what skills you have that can lead to a side hustle or self-employment.
- Questions to ask about what passions you have that can translate to a job.
- Suggestions for different types of side hustles.
- Helpful web sites for seeking a side hustle.
- Types of businesses in the gig economy (self-employed, contractor, etc.).
- The importance of being organized in your gig job.
- Ways a side gig can help your regular job (develop more creativity, fresh ideas, improve existing skills and develop new skills, etc.).
This is a great resource. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

Find More Money by Art Rainer is a self-help book that explains the gig economy. There is some good solid information in this book. This book had a lot of extra to make it a book. The examples/ story I just skipped over. This book gave some quick steps, but I wish fluff would have been kicked out and actual advice would have been in depth. If you are not religious be warned Christianity is very overwhelming in this book. Legitimately about 25% of the book is financial information, the rest is fluff. I think if you are interested or contemplating a side gig, this book would give you an idea at what you are getting into.

Three stars because this book may work for some people, especially if you are of the Christian faith. As an agnostic I skimmed a lot in this book. I think this is a good starting point. Thank you to NetGalley, B&H Publishing Group and Art Rainer for a free copy. This was an honest review.

The issue of money is seen with uncertainty and apathy by many christians, possibly because there have been teachings that have taken us away from what the Scriptures teach us about money and we have unconsciously adopted some paradigms that are not true.

Dr. Rainer's book, titled "Fin More Money" is not the typical “24-hour-easy-find-money” book, it is a book that invites us to think wisely about managing money than Lord provides us. The author provides us nine steps that cover three major issues: Give-Save-Live. The book takes us through a story, which helps us identify ourselves, while offering us very interesting ideas, strategies and thoughts about money and life.

This book does not promise that you will have more money, but it does lead us to improve our attitude towards wealth and possessions. With great interest we must approach this work that encourages us to reason about what to do with our money and why it is so important not only for our needs but also for the kingdom of God.

At the end of each of the nine steps, the reader will find a call to action, because this book is not only to gain theoretical knowledge but to take action. It is an invitation to use our money in the best way.

Personally, I have found step seven challenging, which is related to organization. A matter that we overlook because of the day-to-day concerns, but that it is necessary to consider it for a better administration of what the Lord gives us. This book is not only for people with financial problems, but for all those who want to make better use of their money and lead a more satisfying life.

I requested to review this book when things got a bit tight around our house. Planning for a graduation party and sending my daughter to college…things get pricey.

Basically this book talks about getting a side gig, working a second job essentially. Even though I found the book interesting I really didn’t see this working for me. I could work an extra job during the summer but this summer my schedule is crazy with making up things from COVID-19. Not sure someone wants to work around my family stuff.

So I started to sort of dismiss the advice and then towards the very end something clicked and I wondered, “why have I never thought of doing this before?” I have totally thought of something I could do that would enhance my actual job and potentially make more money doing something I love. Which is what the author talks about. Basically it took the whole book for me to put together everything the author suggested for me to get a possible idea.

Overall, the advice is sound and doable and I love how he builds his advice off the Bible.

A copy of this book was given to me through Netgalley.com. All opinions are my own.

Another self-help book that is 90 percent fluff and barely gave any practical advice.

Would not waste your time on this book.

Art Rainer is spot on in addressing a real issue. He addresses a real issue that impacting many people and that is that the cost of living is often higher than our income. He provided great resources and ideas to help individuals find a side job. The only complaint I have is many of his recommendations is not really beneficial in rural settings. I still highly recommend people read this book and gain some great insights on gaining insights on side hussles.

I really enjoyed this book. The first 25% of the book is about Christian principles and living a good life.
The meat of the book is after the first 25%.
The author talks about side gigs and gives examples of each.
What I liked was the author laid out a roadmap of why a person would need more money.
And asked the reader to have a goal in mind,
find a side gig, pay down debt, establish a retirement account, etc.
Very nicely laid out.
I was really impressed with this book and the way that the chapters were concise and offered actionable steps in which to achieve your goals.

Find more money by Art Rainer is a book that will help through your financial issues. The book has lots of ideas and information on how a family can make more money to pay bills and hopefully have some to save or donate. This book is written not only to help you financially but to also help you live generously on mission for the kingdom.

The basic premise of this book by a leader in a Southern Baptist organization is that you can stay in your low earning job serving the church (or wherever) and get a second, part-time job in the "gig economy" to make ends meet, save for goals like retirement or their children's college education, and be able to donate generously to your church.

Rainer uses a fictitious couple who are about to have a baby to show how couples can each take a second job for about 10 hours a week to pay for their needs -- in this case, an upcoming hospital bill for her to give birth. The husband works as a youth pastor and wants to keep serving his church but they need about $7,500 to pay for their baby's birth in a few months. They both already work full time, I believe. A fellow church-goer teaches them how they can each harness their skills and passions (him as a handyman and her, I kid you not, as a grocery shopper) to make the money they need. They end up making their goal and the hospital bill is magically less than expected so they save a bit and donate $1,000 to the church.

Rainer talks a lot about how rewarding side gigs can be and he provides a list of websites to find the most popular. He talks the most about driving for Uber and pet sitting. He provides a few examples of people he heard profiled on a radio show who made a lot of money on their side gigs. He also talks about using your side gig to spread the word of God (my oldest ran into an Uber driver with that idea on a recent vacation -- it was uncomfortable and unwanted).

There's not a lot more to this than what I've already said. He goes into the story of his fictional character often in order to show how well it's working (and how well their proselytizing works convincing people they do jobs for to join their church). At the end, they happily mix up a bottle of formula for the baby and tell their church friends the husband's side gig is working so well that the new mom could give up her second job. (Side note -- I couldn't help thinking how many thousands they'd save by having the mother breastfeed instead of buying formula.)

Sorry, but this book mostly made me think of radical notions like paying people living wages and providing health care so new parents don't have to work 50 to 60 hours a week to pay for basic things like giving birth.

I read a digital ARC of this book for the purpose of review.
