Loved it from beginning to end. I don’t normally read Christmas books but since it goes with the Wilde series I chanced it and I am so glad I did. Spencer Lane is fantastic and probably one of my favorite leading men. He and Haley are thrust into a fast-paced situation in which only he can get them out of. I could not put it down!

This is one of the most fun books I've read in this series! And any book by Cynthia Eden, paranormal or contemporary romance is swoon worthy.

One Hot Holiday sure gives Haley Quick one very hot sheriff, Spencer Lane. Hiding from her past and making new life may be her plan, but the Spencer sure makes her rethink her future. Protecting Haley as become Spence's goal.

A very well written, fun filled and of course a naughty read, captivating and heart filled!

I really enjoyed this one! It’s short, sexy, and exciting. It fits into the Wilde Ways series, but can be read as a stand-alone.

Haley Quick is running from her ex, and she rents the guest house of a bigger manor house in the South. The thing about this small town is that they are Christmas-crazy! And Haley…is not.

Her plan is to lie low, not draw attention, and hope her scary ex will leave her alone.

But the second she steps onto Main Street, she’s drawing attention. Spencer Lane, sheriff, former SEAL, and all around good guy, notices her immediately. He also saves her from being run over by a parade of elves.

It turns out she’s renting his guest house for the holidays. But Spencer thinks someone is following her, and even though she won’t admit she’s running, Spencer knows she’s hiding something.

I liked the direction this story took. I also liked having Spencer know Erik Wilde, and then using his connection to help figure out what’s going on in his small town. The way Ms. Eden connects these books into a series without making them dependent on each other is wonderful for those who prefer a standalone, and for those of us who love the series, it gives us that fix as well.

I really enjoyed the peek at the newest Wilde Security employees. I can’t wait to read their stories!

Haley is trying to hid out and stay off her ex's reach and is not happy when she attracts the attention of the sheriff, Spencer.

You can understand how scared Haley is that her ex will find her and that if Spencer gets involved, he could end up dead. What is hard for her to comprehend is that going it alone is only helping her ex and that she needs to trust Spencer!

Lots of action and tons of romance as they try to keep Haley safe and slowly give in to their mutual attraction.

Very cool Christmas story full of action, passion, good characters and an interesting plot. I liked it, not my favorite in the Wilde series, but definitely not dull or boring. This one focuses on Spencer, who we met in other books. This time the setting is his small town where he is the sheriff. Haley is running from a very bad guy and Spencer has an interest in being her hero. We have twisted FBI agents, hired thugs, Wilde agents to assist in the capture of a crime lord from NYC, and a sweet and romantic holiday tale all rolled up into a good story. Definitely a good story to read during the Holidays.

I feel the need to start by saying that not only do I love this series, but I also really enjoy the covers as well. Cynthia Eden is always a favorite, and the fact that we share the same home state just makes me like her more. I enjoyed the setting of this book, both the quirky small Alabama town, and that it starts off with the heroine nearly being run over by elves. From that point forward, things got crazy (in a great way). This couple belonged together, and though Spencer definitely got there first, it didn't take long for the feelings to be mutual. The story was a lot of fun interspersed worth plenty of sweet and suspenseful moments. I can't wait to read the next one in the series.

Packed with suspense and a town that takes the holiday season seriously, One Hot Holiday is the perfect book to curl up with. Eden gifts us with a hunky sheriff, a woman on the run and sweet romance that is tripped up by a seriously determined bad guy. I loved the story and devoured it in one sitting.

Thanks to Net Galley for an advanced copy. Haley is on the run, run from something in her past and literally runs into Sheriff Spencer who happens to be renting a cottage to her. This book doesn't take long for Haley to someone after her and Spencer calling in his Wide friends. This book is full of suspenseful twists and turns along with hot romance! Love it! Cynthia Eden does it again!

ONE HOT HOLIDAY is the sixth instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult WILDE WAYS romantic suspense series. This is Point Hope, Alabama Sheriff / former Navy SEAL Spencer Lane, and twenty four year old, art gallery manager Haley Quick’s story line. ONE HOT HOLIDAY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from several third person perspectives including Spencer and Haley ONE HOT HOLIDAY follows the building relationship between Sheriff / former Navy SEAL Spencer Lane, and twenty four year old, art gallery manager Haley Quick. Haley Quick is on the run but refuses to admit to her new landlord, Sheriff Spencer Lane that trouble follows in her wake. From the outset, Haley is stalked by someone from her past, and within hours of arriving in Point Hope, Alabama, Haley’s life continues to spiral out of control. Sheriff Spencer Lane will call in additional help from Wilde Security, in an effort to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love. What ensues is the quick building relationship and love between Spencer and Haley, and the potential fall-out as Haley wants to run in an effort to stay one-step ahead of those trying to destroy her life, people who have found our story line heroine.

Haley Quick was supposed to be in witness protection but powerful people have been ‘bought’ and Haley’s life hangs in the balance. From the FBI to private investigators, everyone is searching for our story line heroine, in the hopes of silencing Haley for good. Sheriff Spencer Lane knows immediately that something is wrong with his new tenant. Frightened and quick to run, Haley feels trapped even with the help of the local Sheriff’s office and the man with whom Haley will fall in love.

The relationship between Spencer and Haley is one of insta-lust to love. Spencer Lane’s attraction to Haley is palpable, and within hours Spencer is hoping for his own happily ever after. Haley had hoped to start her life over in the small town of Point Hope, Alabama, and meeting Spencer Lane gave our heroine pause for a possible future but a future that is threatened by someone from her past. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Wilde Security’s new agents Blair Kincaid, and Linc Dalton; deputy Titus Malone; deputy Cody Waller PI / hitman Francis Callaway, and Haley’s ex Andrew Bradley.

ONE HOT HOLIDAY is a suspense filled story of power and control; of acceptance and love; of vengeance and betrayal. The premise is engaging and captivating; the characters are colorful, energetic and dynamic; the romance is spicy and spirited.

One Hot Holiday by Cynthia Eden is book 6 in the Wilde Ways Series. This is the story of Haley Quick and Spencer Lane. I have read the previous books (and Loved them!) but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Haley has left the city for a small town on the map called Point Hope, Alabama. Haley ex is out to really get her so she is trying to lay low and thinks this is a great place. Then she finds that Spencer Lane is the person she will be renting from which puts the hot sheriff in his sites. Spence is more than just a small town sheriff. Spencer is also a ex Navy SEAL who has a dark side but he can't believe his luck when Haley is in his sites.
I am a big fan of Ms. Eden's writing and this was a great read!

I received an advanced reader copy to leave an honest review of this book. I have read most of this series and am really enjoying them. They are fast reads that have the romance but also some good plot to them. Cynthia Eden has an excellent writing style and I love all her characters.

This book follows Haley Quick, a New York art gallery manager on the run from her ex, and Spender Lane, a former Navy seal turned small town sheriff. Haley is basically alone in the world; an only child with her parents gone. While in New York she got mixed up with the wrong man; basically a club owner that is a mob boss. When she overhears something she shouldn't, she tries to use it to put him in jail which backfires when the evidence disappears. Now Haley is on the run and she picks a small dot of a town on the map in Alabama. Her rental property? It's of course owned by the sexy sheriff. And he knows right away that Haley is hiding something.

So Spencer has his work cut out for him trying to gain Haley's trust. Both will need to rely on each other once the crazy ex shows up in town. Of course we throw in some fun agents from the Wilde Agency to help out.

There is a lot of fun, face paced action in the book but also some great romance. It's a very enjoyable book that I would recommend.

ONE HOT HOLIDAY by Cynthia Eden is connected to her “Wilde Ways” series because the hero is a friend of Eric Wilde, and he ends up calling in Wilde Securities. This story is like if Cynthia Eden whipped up a Hallmark-style Christmas romance. The hero is a dreamy sheriff hottie and there is plenty of small-town holiday charm, but there is also death and danger lurking around every corner. Haley Quick is a woman on the run when she meets her new landlord, and town sheriff, Spencer Lane. The chemistry is off the charts when these two meet, but Haley has weightier things to think about than romance.

The little town of Point Hope, Alabama seems like the perfect place for Haley to seek refuge from her ex. Most people have at least one bad break-up in their past, but in Haley’s case she’s running from some criminal bigshot. Cynthia Eden gives Haley a raw vulnerability that, combined with the woman on the run storyline, made me think of early Harley Quinn graphic novels. As expected for a Cynthia Eden novel, she pulls out a few red herrings and the heroine is thrown off center. Spencer is the epitome of safe and sexy but everybody else in this story is a wildcard and there are several moving parts to this story. ONE HOT HOLIDAY was loads of fun for me to read, with the right amount of cozy goodness and sensual wow, and thrills to add a little adrenaline to the cocktail.

ONE HOT HOLIDAY is a deliciously layered Christmas treat for romance fans. If you want a holiday romance with a dangerous edge and dose of alpha sexiness – ONE HOT HOLIDAY might be for you. In addition to the number of obvious, and perhaps not so obvious bad guys, there are a ridiculous number of hunks in ONE HOT HOLIDAY – Spencer’s bestie and town deputy Titus, sassy and sexy Wilde agent Linc Dalton, and the ever elusive and tempting Ghost. I love Blair Kincaid as a representative of kickass female characters. I’m not sure which supporting character intrigues me more. I can’t wait to read Cynthia Eden’s next book!

Spencer saves a young woman, about to be run over by elves on bikes, and the game is on. Haley has come to the small town to get away from a mob wannabe in New York, and the last thing she expected was a cocky sheriff as a landlord and a bossy one at that. When she gets shot at, her place gets broken into and she is stalked, she starts to see the wisdom of listening to Spencer. A good story overall, and the only minor issues I had was the bad guy issues were a little quick and gone. Not that I wanted a lot of details on him, but enough to warrant his attention on Haley would have enhanced the book for me. Would recommend this book and author, and note this is part of a series, although I wasn't lost reading this by itself.

One Hot Holiday is a suspenseful sexy read by Cynthia Eden just in time for the holiday season. No time like the present to make a better choice in life. Hiding out in a small Southern town sounds perfect to me and by the end of this book it does Haley Quick too.

A bad guy chasing after a woman alone in the world, this story could have had a much different ending. However, you can count on this author to have just the right good guy waiting in the wings. With a bit of small town quirkiness, Haley and Sheriff Spencer Lane have a life changing holiday. It is entertaining with a couple of Wilde Security personal making an appearance for extra pizazz.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One Hot Holiday, is a spin off of the Wilde series. It's full of suspense and a fun Christmas town. A little romance is the icing on the story.

4 - "...Merry Christmas, baby..." Stars!

Cynthia Eden takes us to Point Hope, Alabama for her seasonal offering this year, with a side order of the Wilde Securities team as back up, when Sheriff Spencer Lane, meets, saves from a pack of Elves on bicycles and then falls in love with Haley Quick. He knows from the start that this is a woman in trouble, and as the book progresses, he realises just how much danger she is in.

"I’m one of the good guys…"

"…There is no such thing as a good guy."

But with his trusty deputy Titus (fingers crossed he gets his own book) and with the backup of Wilde Securities, he sets out to bring down the man responsible for all of Haley’s problems.

"I want to be someone new here, let me be her."

Not a huge amount of suspense in this one as you know who the villain is pretty much from the first time his name is mentioned, but the author still managed to add a few twists and turns. Spencer was the kind of hero I have come to expect from her, what with being all growly-alpha and sexily over-protective, Haley held her own, and the secondary characters pulled everything together nicely (did I mention I hope Titus gets a book!).

"To get to you, he’ll have to go through me."

A great seasonal offering, not too long, easy to read, and a great close to what has been another stellar year for Cynthia Eden. Bring on 2020!
