An Adult Workbook about Considering and Possibly Changing Your Drinking But NO Pressure

Like an adult coloring book for your relationship with drinking, How to Be a Mindful Drinker: Cut down, stop for a bit, or quit brings up the occasional good point via prompts (I want to become someone who …), but is a bit simplistic for anyone hungry for a deep dive into their drinking–and no one without an issue would look twice at this book, let alone read it.

This book might be helpful for someone who has an alcohol drinking problem. I thought this book would be able to drinking water and how to mindfully consume water. Which this is, but it's not what I was expecting.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a really great information short self-help book all about behaviors surrounding alcohol. While I personally do not have an issue with alcohol, alcohol dependence does run in my family and I grew up surrounded by it. For that reason, I thought it would have some great information for helping me stay on the right path and make the best possible decisions. And it did! I highly recommend this to honestly everyone, as these tips are great to always keep in mind and there's some really amazing information about alcohol that I think everyone should know about.

This was a beneficial self-help book for alcoholics and well as non-alcoholics. There are helpful worksheets at the end of each chapter.

They provide mindful techniques for cravings. I found the techniques good when I applied them to food cravings, as well.

I received this galley from NetGalley.

This self help book uses quite a lot of journaling and similar tools to help you cut down on drinking or quit completely. It's based on a website that also offers a social component. Chapters deal with good tools like what to do when you feel like drinking and what to drink instead.

Like others, I have my own personal battles with life and fears of future demons that are hiding around the corner. I found this book to be a personal helpful device for my issues. Personally, the explanation of the 5 W’s and the battery charge for willpower, help me understand my personal strength.

Thank you. As someone whose 1/2 Irish and 1/2 Scottish, I will be buying this book for my parents and my brother. It’s nice to know there’s solutions to life besides attending physical AA meetings. Thank you for this opportunity to be an advanced reader from this and advancing from your book. This didn’t just help me but gives me home for my family. Thank you.
