This is the second book in Aurora Rose Reynold's "How to Catch an Alpha" series. I adore this author and this book was exactly what I expected from her. With that being said, I want to say that one of the reasons that I enjoy this author so much is that her books are predictable and comfortable. I would compare it to watching a hallmark movie. You know what's going to happen, but you still enjoy it.

If you want a comforting, feel good read, then this is the book for you!

In this book Chrissy meets Gaston or Gus at a nightclub and they instantly hit off. Regardless of ARR's other books, this one didn't have the instalove or "boom" factor that her fans (and myself) adore, but it still worked. I really liked seeing Chrissy and Gaston fall in love and their relationship grow.

I gave this book 3 stars because I didn't feel as invested in the characters as I normally do. I did enjoy it, though.

Gaston has to convince Chrissie!

Chrissie is doing her best friend duty by throwing a bachelorette part at Twilight nightclub when she met the owner. Gaston wanted to know her better but Chrissie wasn’t so sure since her job was running her bakery with early mornings and Gaston’s job was managing his nightclub and owned two bars which lead to late nights.

Chrissie felt that Gaston is almost too gorgeous to look at and she originally thought that guys that gorgeous would never settle for someone like her. Gaston used every second to change her mind because he knew that Chrissie was the one for him but he had to convince her of that.

Baiting Him is a fun romance to read and I laughed every scene of Gaston with his dog and you will understand why when you read the book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I always knew Gaston was the guy who should’ve gotten the girl, and Aurora Rose Reynolds has solidified that with this story. ARR’s Gaston (or Gus) and Chrissie provides the perfect post-holiday read to help me relax and remind me of the bloom that comes with the beginnings of love. Chrissie is content with her life: work, sleep, spend some time with friends, repeat; but a chance meeting with Gus has her realizing that there’s definitely more to be had. And Gus is more than willing to be the man by her side through her journey of self-realization toward true happiness. I adored how he was there for her in every way and never wavered in his confidence that he and Chrissie are meant to be.

I really loved this book. There was no drama between the couple, it had a believable relationship and plenty of steamy scenes.
I loved that even though technically not much happened, it was no boring at all,. The hero knew what he wanted from the beginning, he was not a manwhore and actually cared for the heroine.

Aww this book is super sweet and all lovey dovey. So cute. I enjoyed the whole insta-like/attraction story and i was smiling so big throughout the book. We met Cassie in Book 1 of the series. She is the best friend of Leah. She owns a bakery and met Gaston in a bar Gaston owns. I love the name Gaston lol. I m always have been fan of ARR romance and this story didn't disappoint either. Loved it from the beginning and enjoyed every second of this amazing story...
Can't wait for next book in the series!!!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book. I liked book two more than book one in this series. Gaston is definitely not the villain here, and is pretty much perfect. Chrissie is a likeable character too and nothing too dramatic happens to force these characters apart.
It was a fun, light read with an easy going cast.

I absolutely love an Aurora Rose Reynolds book with a little bit of suspense. Her books are fantastic even without any suspense, but it's just the kick that takes it all over the top. More than anything, what I love about ARR books is the humor. When I read the description for this book, I was a bit offput by the name Gaston and wondered how I would take it seriously, but all the little plays on Beauty and the Beast were hilarious. The characters and the storyline were great, and the humor and suspense were on point. I really loved it!

Net Galley provided an ARC for honest review.

I really love Aurora Rose Reynolds but I thought the description of the book was a little deceptive. It implies that were will be some suspense with someone out to hurt Chrissie, but that really didn't happen. I did like this one, but it did feel like it dragged a little. Still, I can't wait to read more by Aurora Rose Reynolds.

I loved this so much!! While it wasn’t important to read the first in the series, it does help a little bit to understand the characters.
Aurora writes the best alpha males and this was no exception! Her females are strong on their own but she weaves them together in the best of ways.

If I were to surmise this book in one sentence it would be: having the good life. For Gaston when you know, you know and there is no question about it. And it's a great thing for Chrissie that he sets his eyes on her because that man treats her like a precious queen. Who doesn't want to be a queen?! And well deserved too. Her character is a sweet, thoughtful, caring, hard working woman that deserves a lot of loving from the right man. And he makes sure to always make her feel like she is not one more in the bunch. That she is special, no bull, straight up, no doubt the one for him. This story is top level romantic with a swoon worthy alpha and minimal drama.

And again! These books are like my addiction. One small taste and I'm begging for more. I read the first page and then it's like i got sucked inside the book and couldn't get out, not that i minded since i didn't realise i was so engrossed it was like one of those times where your so into your book you can't even remember you reading it your just seeing everything happen in your head like your actually there.
Gaston and Chrissie was amazing together, i loved their relationship from the very beginning when they meet to the end and everything inbetween!
Gaston was like all Auroras alphas, growly and protective and only has eyes for his girl.
Chrissie was amazing, she was so easy to like, she was sweet but had the little bit of sass to her that keeps you on your toes.
I loved seeing Tyler and Leah again and seeing how they are getting on after their book!
Amazing as always!

Chrissie and Gaston’s simple insta-romance made me swoon and smile the whole time. With his protectiveness and assertiveness, Gaston was the perfect alpha who had a really sweet side that melted my heart. Chrissie was the nerdy, down-to-earth girl who you cannot help but adore. I loved that their relationship was honest and natural. There were no mind-games and few dramas on their route to their much deserved HEA. The secondary characters were interesting and added entertainment to the book. I absolutely enjoyed this easy and fluffy story and it’s the perfect romantic read for the holidays.

An amazing read:
Another fabulous book by this talented author. It was a light, easy read however it kept me engaged throughout. There was just the right mix of romance, heat and drama. I also enjoyed the humor. I didn't really get the title or statement that she was baiting him as that was not at all what transpired. Rather it was more about Gaston pursuing Cassie and her not being able to resist his charms. I loved that Gaston was caring, tender and protective towards Cassie. Everyone needs a Gaston in their life!
This was book two of a series and whilst a standalone, I did miss some of the background information such as the name of the city/state they were in. All I knew was that it was at the beach! However this did not detract from my overall enjoyment of this book and I look forward to reading more in this series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

I loved this book! The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts and the secondary characters are just as amazing! I can’t wait to to hear from more of them in future installments to this series!! Thanks for the opportunity!

I absolutely devoured this story! Chrissie and Gaston are my freaking favorite! Chrissie definitely has some trust issues when it comes to relationships (with good reason) and Gaston just wants his woman! So where can I find my Gaston?? This story was so amazing and I’m not at all surprised because anything we get from Aurora is absolute GOLD! To me this story was fast paced but only because I literally could not stop reading! I was so sad for it to end, so I’ll probably be doing a reread as soon as I finish this review! It’s perfect and deserving of all the stars!!!

This is the first book that I read by this writer. Love it! I love the little nod to Beauty and the beast with the character names Gaston and Le Fou. The heroine is great. I love the hero too. They have great chemistry together. I love out loud quite a bit while reading it. :)

*I voluntarily provide my feedback for Baiting Him in exchange of a complementary advanced copy by Give Me Books Promotion!* Thank you.

Mrs.Reynolds never fails to flutter those butterflies in my belly. Baiting Him was a sweet, fun, romantic, humorous and tacky read for me. I loved both the characters as well as the side ones and/or repeated ones. It was a cliched plot with fun storyline and quite life-like situations. For a lazy weekend read, this would be perfect with all the swoons right under the sleeve. And Gaston + LeFou = Best Combo ever. Releasing on 14th January, better watch out for this book!

Definitely my favorite from this author so far. I really enjoyed the connection between the main characters. This didn't feel like an instant-love relationship and instead gradually built up getting to know each other as their story progressed. Even though this still happened quickly, it wasn't overly cheesy which I liked. I had to have a little chuckle at Gaston's name. Luckily he wasn't a villain. :) He wasn't a caveman like I was expecting either. He was protective of Chrissie but nothing over the top.

A very enjoyable book and I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.
