After discovering Aurora Rose Reynolds earlier this year, I have instantly fallen in love with the stories she creates and ‘Baiting Him’ is no exception. Sweet and swoon worthy with a couple who has insta chemistry, I was fanning myself on the airplane cause the steam scenes are so damn steamy! I loved how easy it was to get wrapped up in this couple. This whole series is fantastic and mixes a whole lotta love with a little drama to give it the perfect touch.

Also major point awards for naming the male love interest Gaston and giving him a dog sidekick, LeFou = adorable.

Thank you NetGalley, the publisher and Aurora Rose Reynolds for gifting me with this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Baiting Him is book #2 in the How to Catch an Alpha series. Although it is the second book, it definitely can be read as a stand alone. A lighthearted, entertaining, and enjoyable read.

The best thing about a good book is when you get lost in it. While reading it, you are so immersed in it, time ceases to have all meaning, and you have a happy smile on your face the whole time. Then, all of sudden it is done, and you feel like you just finished hanging out with your best friends. Chrissie and Gaston were this for me. So sexy, sweet, funny, a little bit of trouble, a little bit of problems, but just a wonderful story of a boy meeting a girl, in the men’s washroom, and them falling in love. The journey to their happily ever forever gave all the good feelings, and the epilogue left me with the biggest smile. Loved it!

‘Baiting him’ is the second book in the ‘How to catch an alpha’ series. After reading and loving the first story ‘Catching him’, I was really looking to this second book. And I’m very happy to say that I enjoyed this story just as much as the first one. (For the readers new to this series, you don’t have to read the first book to read this one. It can be read as a standalone.)

This story is about Chrissie, Leah’s friend and it’s during Leah’s bachelorette party that Chrissie meets Gaston, the owner of the club where the girls are celebrating. From the first look they share, you can feel that there is something special between them. But even with the sizzling chemistry between them, Chrissie makes Gaston work for it. But once that they start dating, everything is going fast. And I loved every minute of it.

‘Baiting him’ is perfect if you’re looking for an easy to read romance story to relax with. It’s drama free but filled with a lot of funny, sexy times between a hot handsome man and a kind-hearted woman (who bakes sweet for a living). And Gaston may be very handsome but he doesn’t act like it. He isn’t arrogant about it. He’s just a guy looking for love and a loving relationship. Chrissie may have lost her faith in men a little bit but she isn’t bitter about it. I like both characters very much. They are both strong in their own way but together they balance each other perfectly. I love the interaction between them and the secondary characters, that consist of family and friends, give the story that little extra.

The story is told mostly from Chrissie’s POV but we also get a few POV’s from Gaston. I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series.

Baiting Him is typical Aurora Rose Reynolds. Instalove and a bit of suspense all wrapped up in a sexy package. Yes, please! I love me some instalove and sexy times. Unfortunately, this story didn’t capture me as much as previous stories from Reynolds. (The Underground Kings remains my favorite series.)

Don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed Chrissie and Gaston’s story and ate it up in one sitting, but I didn't find the dialogue as witty as usual and the suspense was predictable.

I will continue to devour her stories but this wasn’t my favorite, although I still recommend it to die-hard readers of the genre.

Nothing like a feel good romance to warm the soul on a cold winter night! Chrissie and Gus’s story will definitely warm you up with their attraction and you won’t come down not even when the final word is read! I found myself smiling, laughing and swooning in every chapter!

Chrissie is such an amazing character! She is independent and has a heart of gold! She is witty and omg the perfect mix of sassy and sweet! I love how Gus softens her and just how perfectly they compliment one another! He’s tough and can be broody but his protectiveness and need to hold this woman up just have you melting for this man with each chapter!

A beautiful romance with characters you can’t help but fall in love with!

I really enjoyed this book. I felt like it had a little bit of everything.

I loved the playful banter between Gaston and Chrissie. I love the flirting they do. I especially like their first meeting at the club both in the bathroom and then at the bar. Got to love a woman who has the balls to tell an extremely hot guy to take a walk.

I also liked that this book dealt with real word issues. Some of them were small and some of them were big. The part abut Chrissie and her dad and the heartbreak there tore me up.

One thing that could be very small for me that I was happy the author addressed was the different time schedules. It is a pet peeve of mine that other authors don't do but this one did. Chrissie runs a bakery and needs to get up in the morning early and Gaston's job is required late into the night. I love that they make it work while realizing that they can't screw like bunnies for days at a time and either of them will be affected at work.

Loved this book, Aurora Rose Reynolds never disappoints her readers. You have to read the whole book in one sitting. Gaston meets Chrissie and knows she is the one. A must read.

This was very cute and well written. It kept me engaged- my only gripe is that the hero is literally TOO perfect! Lol. Thank you to netgalley for the arc.

I keep repeating myself in these reviews, but I've got to say it again... I loveeee Aurora's books!!! I've been a fan of all her series so far, have read every book of hers and I love them all.
This is the second book of this series and I loved it! So much better than the first, which was good too, but I just LOVED Gus and Chrissie so much! Everything about their relationship was awesome, even how they met was so funny and cute, I love a man who goes after the woman he wants. Gus was such an incredible character and Chrissie was so sweet. I loved how there wasn't drama between them, they just fell into their relationship so easily without complications, just everyday problems but nothing major, they weren't unecessarily dramatic, creating problems... not that I don't love drama, but it was a nice change.
I can't recommend this book enough, it's a must read! I absolutely love it! Can't wait for the next one!

Chrissie meewts Gaston on her friends hen night. He owns a club and works nights, she owns a bakery with early mornings and long days. Can they find a way to be together?

I absolutely loved Chrissie’s story. I couldn’t put it down. I read this whole book in one afternoon. I couldn’t wait for her story and what a great story we got!

These two characters were so much fun to read about. Gaston is one of those alpha heroes that makes us swoon every other page. I absolutely fell in love with their story.

I received a free advanced copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.

I don’t want to spoil this book so let’s just say that if you are a fan of ARR then you will absolutely love this story.

Entertaining
Unputdownable
Hot romance
And a love story that will leave your heart full.

Baiting Him is super cute. We met Cassie in the first book of the series. She's a very sweet heroine with a bit of an emotional side to her. She's always there for everyone around her, and she protects the ones she loves even when she is hurting.

Gaston (love that name) is actually a toned down alpha from what I am used to seeing from this author. I mean, he's still alpha and protective but he wasn't as "caveman" as ARR's usual heroes. He came off more gentlemanly. He treated Cassie like a man should. He was also a sweet mama's boy.

There isn't very much conflict in the story which makes this a nice low angst read. There is some family drama but not much couple drama. I really like in a book. There was a small bit of ow drama as well, but I really loved how Gaston handled it.

If you are looking for a fun, feel good story, this series is perfect. I hope there will be more to come.

3.5 stars
Another ARR story about love. If you read ARR before, you know her formula for romance. No real surprises in this book. They only real thing that shocked me was that Chrissie's parents don't have a great relationship. Besides that Chrissie and Gaston's relationship is basically drama free and more insta love.

I really enjoyed this book. It hooked me quick and kept me reading. Some things were a little strange (sibling names anyone?) but I really loved the story. Little to no angst here, so if you want a sweet love story, this book is your ticket.

ARC received for review

Loved Gaston and Chrissie and their romance. He wasn't taking no for an answer, and she didn't fight to hard. Just a great book, and I love his name and his dog's name. Gaston is no villain, but the perfect man (and maybe an alien).

Dear editor (or maybe I should address this to Ms. Reynolds)...make sure someone has read the first book to catch continuation issues in book two. At the end of book one her BFF has a little girl and is pregnant with a second girl. In this book at the end the BFF has the girl, but the second child has changed to a boy. Sorry for the spoiler, but this just bugs me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for granting my request for an ARC of this book. The review below is entirely my own opinion.

I loved this story! I loved the characters. The banter between Gus and Chrissie is awesome; so many lines had me laughing out loud.

If you like how ARR tells a story, I'm pretty sure you'll really like this book. In fact, I highly recommend it!

Can't wait to read more from this series!

Another fantastic story from one of my favorite authors!! Baiting Him is book 2 in the How to Catch an Alpha series and it was just as good as the first. What I really love about all the books by this author is the the insta-love between the two characters. After reading some heavier books, it is really comforting to read a low angst and fun read. Gaston and Chrissie’s story was this and so much more! I absolutely loved their first encounter, the banter and chemistry was fantastic. The reaction to his name and then his cat’s name was hilarious!! But even with the mutual attraction, Chrissie could not and would not trust it. Unfortunately for her, after a bit of encouragement from his best friend, Gaston was in hot pursuit.

I loved this book so much! There were some issues with Chrissie’s family that caused a bit of angst and an annoying admirer of Gaston, but the relationship between Chrissie and Gaston was so strong and so very hot that their happily ever after was inevitable. It was all so very good!

Thank you to Netgalley and Montlake Romance for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. All opinions are my own.

Another winner by ARR, I couldn’t put this one down!!

I’ve been waiting for Chrissie’s book since I met her in book one... she and Gaston aka Gus definitely lived up to my expectations!

Not only is Gus hot (I mean Gaston..hellooo haha) and he’s sweet and hot (it’s worth saying twice lol).

The way they met had me full on laughing I thought it was hysterical. I won’t give too much away just know you’ll laugh during their first meeting and interaction.. as well as be awed by Gaston!

I loved Chrissie’s character, she has a huge heart that makes you wish she were real so you could be her best friend IRL.

There’s some drama ... familial and otherwise. I won’t get too deep into this but I was with Chrissie and shared her anger (that’s good writing!).

I also love that we got to see some of Leah and Tyler from book one.

Gaston and Chrissie’s story was everything I’d hoped for and I really loved that when Chrissie wasn’t willing to just fall at Gaston’s feet he was there ready and willing to go after what he wanted.... *sigh*

Must read for you alpha lovers!!
