Baiting Him is the second title in the How to Catch an Alpha series. If you are after an enjoyable, sweet and low angst read this is the book for you.

Chrissie the heroine is hardworking, sweet, kind and caring, and tries to take care of those around her to the detriment of herself.

Gaston ‘Gus’ is an alpha but he’s also sweet, kind and caring and a gentleman as well.

The chemistry this pair shares is undeniable and I enjoyed seeing the couple from the first title appear within this storyline. I look forward to future additions to this series.

I enjoyed reading Chrissie and Gaston’s journey (you read me right me, that’s the hero’s name), from insta-attraction to winning the girl over and somehow feeling pretty realistic and down to earth about the main characters’ lives, professionally and personally. I appreciated it.

Gaston was definitely book boyfriend material, confident, sexy and so swoony. What he wanted was to get the woman who stole his every thought since he met her. Running a successful business and being busy didn’t bother him until he found the one. He was such as sweet as smoking hot and not giving a damn about what people think, going with his guts.

Chrissie was also busy with her bakery, giving no time to meet someone, until she stumbled into Gaston, who wasn’t giving up by showing her how they felt good together. I liked this character.
She was down to earth, trying to fight this attraction but hopeless when it came to this determined man.

However, it was a good story, with endearing characters, so swoony and a little cheesy at times.
I appreciated the flirty banter and humour as well. I liked this second installment of this series!

Baiting Him (How to Catch an Alpha Book 2)
By: Aurora Rose Reynolds

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Such a fun, sweet, and Hot read!

Gaston and Chrissie oulala! This was such an amazing book and I’d been looking forward to reading it for months. The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. She writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: Chrissie doesn’t have time for guys, hot or otherwise; most days, she barely has time to sleep. With a thriving bakery that demands her attention and plenty of proof that relationships aren’t worth the trouble, she’s content to go it alone. Too bad she’s unwittingly baited Mr. Tall, Dark, and Way Too Gorgeous and he’s just waiting for a chance to bite.
Gaston is used to getting what he wants, but he also knows nothing good ever comes easy. From the moment he meets Chrissie, he realizes that this woman who makes him laugh, smells like cupcakes, and looks like a tasty snack is going to be his greatest challenge. And if he’s lucky, she’ll be his biggest reward.

But someone else wants to catch Gaston at all costs even if it means endangering the lives of the people he loves. Somehow Gaston must thwart danger and convince Chrissie that he’s the perfect catch.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

I am pretty sure I love Chrissie and Gaston a little more than Leah and Tyler. Well first, the fact that his name is Gaston and he has a dog named LeFou, and he is an alien from outer space (not really, so don’t freak thinking this is a sci-fi lol).

Gaston was smitten from the beginning and did what he could t convince Chrissie that they should see where things go. I love how he was there right there from the beginning and never let up with his pursuit. He dropped everything to be there when she needed him and was just what Chrissie needed in her life.

Chrissie is a workaholic who had her whole life’s perception twisted not too long ago. When life throws you the curveball it threw her, things tend to get skewed and Chrissie just needed someone to help her see it. I love Gaston and Chrissie’s banter.

I loved this quick, funny, sweet book and the characters in it.

Baiting or teasing...

Lol. The meet cute for these two has me sporting a big asz grin! How many people can you say meet this way!?! Also their conversation following that meeting already set up for complete and total swoon. I was an easy lure.

With a man like Gaston, I can't imagine it being possible to fight that pull. Utterly devastating in the looks department and 100% wonderful in personality, I am surprised our Prince Charming wasnt already tied down.

I’m a big Aurora Rose Reynolds fan, and I love her brand of alpha hero. I love the heroines she pairs them with, and her stories always deliver the perfect blend of sweet and steam to produce that addictive BOOM! that makes my heart happy. Low on the angst, heavy on the sweet and the swoon, Reynolds creates these completely addictive romances that are easy-to-read, sexy and drama-free.

Baiting Him is the second story in Reynolds’ How to Catch an Alpha series. Chrissie owns a successful bakery, and if it isn’t a cupcake, she doesn’t really have time for it. Gaston, or Gus as everyone calls him, is a successful nightclub owner and knows a thing or two about being busy between running his three clubs. But he also knows a good thing when he sees it, and after their first meeting, he pulled out every swoon-worthy move to get her attention. But Chrissie’s been down this road before, she knows guys like Gus aren’t for her, she’s been chewed up and spit out by them before, and she’s not up for that again. Their undeniable chemistry and the witty banter bouncing back and forth between them is Chrissie’s first clue that there is more to Gus than meets the eye. If his good looks weren’t enough, the gentle way he treats her and his determination start to wear her down, and she’s a complete goner when she meets his aptly named little dog, LeFou.

Aurora Rose Reynolds totally brings the boom in Baiting Him with a low-angst, light-hearted, feel good story with all of the sweet and sexy romance readers love from her. Gaston was a determined hero who knew exactly what he wanted and pulled out every swoon-worthy move to get her attention. I absolutely loved watching this couple fall in love, and I was totally swept up in their romance as I devoured this book in a day. Baiting Him by Aurora Rose Reynolds gets 4.5 smooches from me!

3.75-4 stars. Baiting Him was a really cute, feel good read. This is Gaston/Gus and Chrissie's story. They meet when she attends a bachelorette celebration at the bar he owns. He is smitten immediately, while she is a little wary. But he won't let her get away for long. As they get to know each other, they find they are a perfect match.

Gus and Chrissie's story was ARR at her sweetest. Gus was the swoony, perfect guy and Chrissie was cute and quirky. I really liked them both. Their story is instalove, super sweet, low angst, sexy and fun. Gus does the chasing, even though the book is titled Baiting Him. There is no big problems or fights or anything either, which I love.

Overall, this was a fun, easy read with a good story. I enjoyed this book a lot! I look forward to more from this series and Ms. Reynolds in the future.

From the first page to the last, Chrissie and Gaston captivated me! I loved that there was a little drama & a whole lot of love. I got swept up in their world and I am not ready to leave these characters and this world behind. I am really excited that there is going to more books in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

I went through a plethora of emotions with this but the most important one, and you’ll understand why after you read it, is Happiness. That’s the underlying message that Aurora Rose Reynolds gives out in this book. During the process of finding happiness however, I laughed, I cried, I was aroused and frustrated. Through it all though, I was left with a big smile on my face. I loved Gaston and the way he knows who Chrissie is to him and he doesn’t relent.

This is the second book in the How to Catch an Alpha series. They are stand alones.

This was an okay read for me.

While I like Gaston, I didn't completely love him.

I liked Chrissie in the first book more than this one. This one she put herself down a lot and that rubbed me wrong a little.

She didn't think she should call Gaston because he is too hot and out of her league. That was a bit annoying.

This was still enjoyable and I did like it.

I give this a 3.5. I received a copy via Netgalley

Between the bakery she owns and helping her mother through a difficult time Chrissie doesn’t have the time or energy for relationship or love. Her last relationship ended because she couldn’t give enough attention to the man she was seeing so when Gus wants to spend time with her the only answer she can think of is no.

Gus is sexy, single and successful. From their first meeting Gus is intrigued by Chrissie as they meet in the last place that he expected but when he sees her again all he knows is that he wants more. When his attempt to have her contact him is unsuccessful he goes with the personal touch and from that moment on there is no denying that they belong together.

These two couldn’t have been more perfect for each other. They both have very demanding careers with very different schedules but they are determined to make it work and that is what makes their relationship so special.

Baiting Him is the second book in this series but it is a complete standalone. I loved the story, especially because it was refreshing to not have a bunch of drama between the characters to muddle the love story. Gaston was the perfect amount of Alpha while still being loving and supportive of Chrissie. However, the danger and rescue promised by the author in the blurb was non existent so I can see why some feel it lacked the fire we saw in the series' first book. Overall, great read, four chilli peppers of hotness!

I received a free ARC from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

Baiting Him is the second book in the How To Catch an Alpha series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I personally always love to read a series in order to get the full back story of all the characters. Baiting Him is a well written story. The characters compliment each other to make this a very easy and enjoyable read. If you like a good romance with some humor thrown in, this is the book for you.

This is the second book in the How to Catch an Alpha series. While this is written in ARR’s usual style, which I enjoy, I just didn’t like this one as much as the first. I didn’t feel the chemistry between the MC’s and the alphaness (look at me just making up words) was turned way down. The H gives the h his phone number but she doesn’t call him for days and he doesn’t like that at all but he doesn’t pull the alpha out and just actively pursue her. I thought the story dragged as there was hardly any angst to hook me.

Well... Aurora has done it again!! This is book 2 in the How to catch a Alpha series.. I sooooo Loved Gaston and Chrissie - they were absolute perfection!

We got to meet Chrissie in Catching Him.. She is Leah’s best friend. She is sweet, funny, and loyal. She is the owner of The Sweet Spot bakery. One night while going out for Leah's bachelorette party - Chrissie meets the hottest of hot men around.. in the most unpredictable spots around.. little did she know he was the owner of the night club she was at..

“Did you just say your name is Gaston?” “Yeah” “Oh my God,” I whisper, horrified. “You’re like the worst villain ever.”

Gaston (Gus) is the owner of several bars and nightclubs.. and when he meets Chrissie somewhere she should not be.. he knows he needs to have her.. and when he sees her at the bar getting a drink.. he needs to talk to her.. but when she turns him down and tells him to leave her alone.. Well now he is more degermed then ever to get to know her.

“I don’t care if you don’t need to be taken care of because you’re an independent woman. I’m going to take care of you anyway, in all the ways I can.”

This book is amazing.. I love this series.. (well I love all ARR's books) and I can not wait for more.

Gaston is swoony and will sweep readers away. Chrissie and Gaston's story gives all the feels! Gaston is immediately drawn to Chrissie and she really likes him but has issues in her past affecting how she feels.

There is never a doubt that Gaston is real and he makes Chrissie really realize this. What a fun story! They have amazing chemistry and Gaston is the guy to let Chrissie know how great she really is!
They work with though their issues with good communication and find a way to happily ever after.

All the characters were great in this book! I loved how they all really cared!
