I want to thank NetGalley for the eARC for my honest review. This is Jussi Adler-Olsen’s eighth Department Q novel and one of the best. Though its focus seems more serious it continues the brilliant mix of odd almost slapstick comedy, with the most serious page by page thriller ending, If you have read them all this one is not to be missed as our oddball band of misfit hero’s come together like never before! 4.5 Stars!

Jussi just keeps getting better and better. They latest Dept. Q book is full of great story lines of all the main characters. Especially enjoyed the 22 year old crazy guy.
Highly recommend for anyone into Scandinavian mysteries. Doesn't get any better than this.

I have only one thing to say about this book....WOW! Do not past this one up if you want a heart skip beating thriller with a blockbuster ending and with favorite characters you have come to know and love from this awesome series by one of the best Scandinavian writers of our time.

The ambiguous Assad takes center stage in this installment of the Department Q series and you finally learn about his secretive past along with an explosive finale that will leave you wanting more. And I hope there will be more because you can't leave it there.

Put this one near the top of your to-read list. Highly recommended!
