I found that I liked this book even though it came out years ago and just got around to reading it. The beginning has Sloane and Myles married for five years she had moved from New York to London to be with him and get married. Thinking it was time for the next step which was a baby and for her not remodeling the house Slone begins to see for the first time signs that maybe Slone does not want what she wants. From there it just goes on and at times I think maybe Slone could be overreacting I know she is not. She is right and when they break she does it the right way with an attorney. Myles for a time even has her thinking everything is just her imagination or just overreaction and for a time ghosts her, he thinks he did nothing wrong, so later when he asks her can just be friends her answer is from the strength she has gotten in. A very good book.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

If a book could be written all over your face, this would be it. Hilariously relatable, you'll be nodding along and smirking away and have anyone that sees you reading it staring in wonder as you turn the pages.

I somehow mistook this for a romcom, not a women's fiction. Knowing that it's not the genre I expected made the second half of the book easier to digest. It was an enjoyable read, but definitely a bit more emotional than I generally go for.

Parts were predictable, parts were funny, parts were boring. It actually kind of annoyed me that it was a British author, the main character was Canadian yet she used all the British words when she spoke even though she hadn't lived in London long. For example, instead of calling it the train or subway, she called it the tube. It just seemed odd to me.

Anyway, it read as a rom-com but many of the secondary characters were dull and didn't add much to the overall plot. It was okay, but I wouldn't read it again.

This was such a nice light and easy read. It was a little predictable, but still enjoyable. I liked the main character, Sloane. I liked seeing her grow as the story went on. This was my first book by this author, but I am looking forward to reading more. I recommend checking this one out!

Sloane and Myles have been married 5 years, and now want to have a baby. A fun and quick read, and although I didn't laugh out loud, I did chuckle. Would recommend.

Wow does this book sound like it written by me or for me. I am always the single one who never had a date to her family weddings. Always the one everyone wants to set up their cousins or friends with.
Sloane had me laughing out loud so many times. She was such a funny character. When sloane finally divorced Myles, I was so glad. I was so tired of him and reading about him. She deserved so much better. The only thing I would change would be if we got more of Edward.
This book was so relatable to anyone who has gone through a breakup or a divorce. I will be recommending it to all my friends.

I couldn't put this book down! Great writing, relatable and likeable characters and a mostly easy story to read. At times quite heartbreaking, and I really felt the feelings Sloane went through in the book.

My one and only criticism is the description of it as a laugh out loud book....it isnt...but it is wonderful nonetheless.

This book was amazing. The characters were all great! I really enjoyed the tone of the novel as well. The author's writing style is something else that I really liked. I really liked the cover which was what had me get this book to begin with. It was such a cute read!

This book if well categorized as Women's Fiction but for some reason I went in thinking I was getting a romance (perhaps the cover?), enjoyable as long as you go in with the right expectations.

Sloane and Myles have been married for 5 years and are looking forward to taking the next step in their relationship - babies!! Sloane believes she had found the perfect man in Myles, even moved from NY to London to be with him - however, cracks start to appear in her marriage and she eventually finds out that Myles has been unfaithful. This crushes her as it would any wife! Everything she thought she had crumbles around her and she has to pick herself up, brush herself off and move on while holding her head high! We get insight into Sloane's past and I really began to relate to her and want her as a friend. She was a great character that I was really rooting for! Although this book was more heartbreaking at times than "LOL funny", I enjoyed the overall story.

Thanks to Sophie Ranald, Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC.

I have tried on multiple occasions to get through this book. It just isn't connecting with me and that makes me sad. The synopsis sounds wonderful but there is something about the writing or maybe even the story that keeps putting me off. The opening page is all about how the main character keeps seeing pregnant people and I've read that chapter a few times now and I couldn't tell you anything else about it that the I see dead people but only pregnant people bit.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

A nice, light read.... nothing too heavy, as expected, but struggled a bit to complete. I appreciate the opportunity to review it!

I adore Sophie Ranald's books & No, We Can't Be Friends lived up to my expectations!
No, We Can't Be Friends is a fantastic read, full of real-life moments, the struggles, the mistakes & laugh out loud antics.
I find Ranald's writing style easy to read even with some of the emotional & hard subjects in this book.
I highly recommend this book to all fans of romcoms & "every woman with a waste-of-space ex"

A laugh out loud rollercoaster of a book. Sloane finds love but also that her man would like her to keep house and keep all it entails ticking over. She wants more than this so must make a choice.

I thought this would be a story I would really really enjoy. The blurb on the covers compared the author to some of my favorites, including Sophie Kinsella, and said it was a "laugh-out-loud romantic comedy." Only...the blurbs did not tell the whole truth. The subject matter of the book, including secondary storylines, were all very heavy and did not lend themselves to laugh-out-loud moments. Infidelity, abandonment, alcoholism...not something I guffaw over.

The story itself left something to be desired. I enjoyed reading the parts of the book where Sloane was dealing with her clients at work. But the parts with the husband, who you knew from the get-go was the "bad guy," dragged on and on. I was halfway through the book wondering if Sloane was going to DO anything. While the ending was rushed, I did like the idea behind learning more about Bianca. Had I not been lead to believe this would be a funny rom-com (I'm sorry - did I miss the romance?? Was it with an influencer?) I may have enjoyed it more for what it was.

This was an enjoyable read. It isn’t what I typically read but I liked the storyline and writing style. I would look for other books by this author.
