I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This fun picture book is about bear who instead of hibernating stayed up and watched tv and now that he is awake all he can think about is noodles and he will do anything for those noodles.

Fox is having a party, and all her friends are there- except for Bear. Fox takes a bowl of snacks over to Bear's cave, and finds him asleep. Turns out Bear spent the winter watching Noodle Knockout on t.v. and eating noodles, and now he's hooked- he doesn't want to eat anything but noodles. He decides to go to the city and try to become a contestant on the show, hopefully winning a lifetime supply of noodles. Bear wins, becomes famous, and gets his own cooking show, and all the noodles he wants- but he misses his friend Fox. Will he stay in the city, or go back to the forest?
The story is cute, and noodles are pretty tasty, so I'm sure kids can relate to that. The art is bright and cartoonish, which isn't surprising as the author is an animator, director, and producer. I think kids will enjoy this one.

I loved the images for this story - they were cute, bright and attractive to my daughter and I liked them as a mum too!

This story emphasises that the grass is not always greener on the other side, the bear really loved noodles and got oodles and oodles of noodles when he left his friends to travel to the big city to enter a tv show, but he missed his friends and wanted to go home

It is 4 stars from me for this one, a good story and lovely images - highly recommended!

This story certainly goes in unique directions. It's unusual for a picture book to feature a food obsession working out in the character's favor. In this case, loving noodles takes the bear to some unusual places. This gives us a rather nebulous message but it remains a fun read.

The text and the pictures are too cute in this picture book. A bear is obsessed with noodles and his obsession might take him away from his home and his forest friends. He can either follow his stomach or his heart. It was interesting seeing what choices he made and what he eventually settled on. I read this via NetGalley, courtesy of the publisher.

Bear eats all different kinds of noodles; he has eaten so many, that noodles are all he thinks about! He can't find noodles anywhere, so he goes out in search of some. Bear finally finds noodles in the city, but after a while, he misses the forest and his friends and decides to go back.

This book's theme of realizing that home and friends are what are truly important is highlighted by fun illustrations in this kid-friendly romp featuring noodles. Lots and lots of noodles.

Bear has spent all winter watching his favourite game show, Noodle Knockout. Now he's hungry for noodles! None of his friends have any, so he sets off for the big city to be a contestant on the show. He does really well and eats lots of noodles. But he soon starts to long for his friends. So he returns home to the forest... with enough noodles for everyone.

The story is very simple (and rather silly), but I think kids might enjoy it. The illustrations are cute. The message is inoffensive, if a little boring.

Overall, this is a decent book. Check it out for the illustrations. And have a look if you're a noodle fan... although, the book might make you hungry!

Noodle Bear is a fun and entertaining book about a bear obsessed with Noodles. I enjoyed this cute story and I can see my students in early grades really enjoying this silly little bear. This is a great story to just escape into with your kids and read over and over again. I know as a child I loved pasta and would have found this little bear so silly, yet so relatable. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars and recommend to teachers and parents of 3-5 year olds.

This book is just good plain fun. Bear stays up and eats noodles and plays a noodle game. Now all he wants are noodles! The forest animals don’t have any so Bear goes to the big city. Will he find noodles?

Noodle Bear is all about a bear who is obsessed with noodles, so much that he leaves his friends and adventures to a city in order to get all the noodles he could ever want. I loved the illustrations of this book. They are so bright, cute, and fun! The plot does seem a little on the nose and predictable, but I enjoyed the twist of noodles so much that it was worth the read.

This was a really cute book and fun to read with Ada. She thought noodle bear was hilarious. The story was a fun adventure, and Ada really liked seeing just how hungry he was! The illustrations are fun and match the story well.

Bear spent all winter developing a love for noodles and decides to leave the forest to pursue noodles on a game show only to find out he missed all his forest friends. The illustrations are cute and the story is simple, but lacking any depth to teach or entertain a child. There are many times when the story becomes bland as it simply tells what Bear did and what the results were, rather than letting the reader experience being on the game show, becoming famous, and getting everything Bear wanted.

All in all, it was an okay read but not one I would read again.

Thank you NetGalley and Candlewick Press for the opportunity to read an advance reading copy.

This is a cute, silly picture book with cute illustrations. I felt like it was a little too long, though, and it didn't really hold the attention of my test kids.

This is a sweet book about a bear that is obsessed with noodles. He doesn’t want to eat anything but noodles. The book seemed to be inching towards a theme of trying new things but flips the switch to this being a book about appreciating what you have and friendship.

Noodle Bear is a light and funny story about a hungry bear who loves noodles and the lengths to which he is willing to go to get more! The illustrations are just plain cute, and children will find this story very funny and entertaining.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advance reading copy.

"Noodle Bear" is such a darling book! Delightful story about a little bear on the hunt for his favorite thing in life and the lesson he learns along the way. My kids immediately wanted to read it again!

Noodle Bear seems to be all over the place. There are some funny, cute parts but then he’s on a game show and eating noodles. I’m not really sure my students would get into this one.

I received an electronic ARC from Candlewick Press through NetGalley.
Bear is obsessed with eating noodles of all sorts. He even skips hibernation to eat a wide variety of noodles. He heads for the city and wins the Noodle game show. However, he misses his friends so returns home.
Simple story for young readers to follow. The cartoon style characters are humorous and easy for readers to relate to.

Art: Reminds me of cartoon network art style (could see this as a series or a short film at least)

Story: It was okay story. There was not anything wrong with it but I found myself not really in love with it. I think I liked the beginning when bear was with the animals the most probably because the latter half was that traditional person gets rich story and I like the forest animals a lot.
