I really enjoyed this author's last couple of books. Unfortunately, this one fell somewhere in the middle. I mostly fell flat for me.

My blase feelings with this one are hard to express without giving away spoilers, but I will try my best.

This book wasn't as suspenseful as her other books. I was able to piece many things together pretty easily before they were revealed. The plot and subplots were a little exaggerated and left me feeling disinterested. The twists didn't surprise me.

The ending felt rushed and forced. I wasn't especially happy with it. There was a big attempt at suspense up to the end, then it just ended. I was disappointed.

Overall, this book isn't bad. It just wasn't what I expected to get from this author. I guess we can't always love what every book from every author.

Ally finds out that she’s disassociated after she arrived to work... only to find out she hasn’t worked there in 5 years. She has bloody tissues in her pocket and no recollection of whose blood it is or what happened over the past 2 days. Ally visits with family and works with private investigators and a psychologist to determine what happened 2 days prior resulting in her disassociated state. Readers learn that Ally found a body when she was a child and this may have played a role in her disassociation. Overall, this was an easy read, but definitely not a read I’d recommend or read again in the future. I couldn’t connect to Ally, and the big twist in the story? Nope. Just not thrilled with this one. Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Have You Seen Me? by Kate White is a stand-alone thriller. Ally, a finance podcaster/writer, shows up for work early one morning. Somehow she doesn’t have her purse with her and can’t get in the building. Another employee lets her in but she can’t get in her office because she doesn’t have her keys. She sits in the conference room and waits for her assistant to get there. When one of her coworkers comes in the conference room he questions why she is there. When she said she’s there to work he tells her that she hasn’t worked there in three years. She gets very upset and dizzy and blacks out. When she wakes up in the emergency room she realizes that she has no idea where she was the past 48 hours. The rest of the book follows Ally as she frantically tries to find out what happened in those missing hours. This was such and exciting story and I couldn’t read it fast enough. I mistrusted every character at one time or another during this book. The ending was very satisfying but somewhat abrupt. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who likes thrillers and mysteries. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

It may sound silly but I love how Kate White always sprinkles in descriptions of what the characters are wearing, That separates her from other thriller writers for me. I always pick up her books as soon as they’re published!

I loved the premise of this book and the way the narration made you feel a part of it. The book starts out with a surprise in that Ally has blacked large parts of her past and is striving to put it together.

Distantly reminiscent of the movie “Memento”, as Ally puts the pieces of her missing life back together, a web of confusion and intrigue follows.

I couldn’t put this book down.
The only problem is that I thought the ending was a let down. A big let down. The journey was fun. The destination - meh.

Wow! This was a real nailbiter. If you love a real psychological suspense thriller, this will keep you reading long past your bed time. What I loved most was the way the ending tied up everything so quickly but left me wishing there was more. Highly recommend!

Ally arrives at her job, soaked through and missing her key card to get in. When her boss arrives she is shocked to learn that she has not been employed there for 5 years, she has a husband she very nearly forgot about, and she has no recollection of what happened to her over the last 2 days. With the help of her brother, her shrink, and a team of P.I’s she works to uncover her lost time and what made her forget any of it even happened.
Thank you Netgalley, and HarperCollins for an advanced copy of this book. From the start, you are entranced. So wholly wrapped up in wanting to help Ally find her answers, that you just can’t put it down. I was impatient at times, wanting to flip to the end to find out what happened to Ally in those missing days? Kate White constructs a spectacular cast of characters in such a way that keeps you guessing, until the very end.
This is one of those books that you need patience for. Not because of the writing, but because every page adds a new possibility. You won’t be able to figure out the ending on your own. Stick with the story and you will be shocked at what comes out.

Have You Seen Me hooks you right from the start, and doesn’t let go. Ally shows up at her job one morning, only to discover her keys don’t work, and her nightmare begins. Ally hasn’t worked at that office in years, and has no memory of the last 2 days. This thriller is easy to follow, has a real likable lead character, and doesn’t get bogged down in useless details. That being said, I loved this book, but the ending comes out of left field, and leaves you a little disappointed. However, it’s still a great read, and I flew through the book in one sitting, eager to see how it all plays out. Still a solid 4 stars. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through @NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This novel is seriously addictive. Ally goes to her office one morning and everything looks off. Turns out she left that job 5 years ago, she’s been missing for 2 days and has no memory of where she’s been or what she’s been doing. Dissociative amnesia is a well-used plot device because it’s effective. It forces the readers to find the clues along with the character. Plus, what could be more scary than forgetting who you are? For all Ally knows, she may have witnessed or, worse, committed a crime. There are a lot of twists and red-herrings, as well as a large cast of characters. Ally’s hubby Hugh is acting differently but it could just be the shock at Ally’s ordeal. There’s also a pushy, manipulative intern, a close friend who is suddenly unreachable, shrinks, cops, private detectives and a dreamy ex. My suspicions kept going from one to the next until the completely unexpected conclusion, which I never saw coming.
I chose to read this book and all opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased. Thank you, NetGalley/ HarperCollins Publishers!

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for this ARC for my free and honest review.

I have enjoyed Kate White’s previous books and I also enjoyed reading this one. A bit thriller, suspense and mystery combine for a fast paced read.

Imagine showing up at your place of employment only to find out, you haven't worked there in years. In your state of confusion, your husband tells you, you've been missing for 2 days. Where have you been? What happened? Why is there blood stained tissues in your pocket? So many questions but no one has any answers.

Ally suffered a great trauma in her youth, but is that why she has suffered a dis-associative state? Why isn't her husband more concerned about where she had been? What is he hiding? Ally goes on a journey reaching back to her past to make the connection to her present. She doesn't know who to trust and she is in danger but from whom? Ally is trying her best to hold it all together and get some answers, answers she's needed for a long time.

I really enjoyed this book. Kate White leads you down a path that has many twists and turns. Just when you think you know the outcome, you are lead in a different direction.

When Ally “wakes up” from her amnesia, she has no idea what just happened and she’s surprised and a bit anxious to meet her husband Hugh – because she has no recollection of him either.
Before she leaves the hospital, she starts having memories come back. But when she finds out she is missing days, not just hours, she becomes a little obsessed with figuring out where those days went. And what she did. And who she saw.
As Ally tries to piece her life back together, it seems like everyone around her is acting suspicious. Her intern, Sasha, is weirdly trying to take over her job, her husband is acting shifty and kind of guilty, and even her encounters with her ex who found her at his office the morning she “came to” is acting weird.
Or maybe it’s just Ally?
I really love Kate White’s writing. This one was not my favorite of hers, but it was still mostly a good read. My only complaints are that I feel like there were a lot of loose ends that never got wrapped up and the ending felt just the slightest bit Scooby Doo to me.
The good points? Kate’s writing is amazing. It was a quick read, I enjoyed piecing together Ally’s journeys across NYC with a bit of a frame of reference (I was just there this fall), and I felt that hints of what was to come were subtle and well-placed.
Special thanks to Netgalley and Harper Packerbacks for an advance e-galley in exchange for my honest review. This one releases April 28, 2020.

I found this book captivating and intriguing 75%-85% of the time throughout. There were no major revelations or things not seen coming. However, I would give it 4 stars because I really enjoyed the reading experience most of the way through. This duo is still a must read for me!

This book started out with a great premise. Ally has lost 2 days of her life. She showed up at an ex workplace and has no idea why she's there or what she has been for the last two days. Her husband wasn't looking for her and best friend doesn't know where she's been. She sees a therapist to figure out what has happened and even hires a private investigator to try to piece together the missing pieces. She also has a traumatic event that happened in her childhood that might have something to do with her missing memories. Everyone is a suspect in this mystery.

This was a good story but it moved a little slow for me. The ending was a surprise though, I tried all the different scenarios and didn't see it coming. If you like quick easy mysteries, you will like this one.

Ally turns up at her work place wet and disheveled. Problem is she hasn’t worked there in 5 years. Ally can’t remember why she went there or what happened the last 48 hours. As her memory returns piece by piece she still can’t recall the event that caused her to lose her memory. The people in her life all seemed to me to have an agenda. Is someone sandbagging Ally? One character in particular seems off to me but I still didn’t figure out why til the author revealed it. This was a great suspense that kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

A decent book from a fairly big name author. This has some good elements -- likeable main character and some interesting plot points. The end didn't come together well, and it's a little uneven. Fans of the author will probably like this most.

Thanks very much for the ARC for review!!

What if a big chunk of your high -powered, high-pressured life went. missing? World you, like the preordained of this clever and slickly written novel, hire a private detective to retrace your steps and learn what triggered your dissociative state, or would you accept the reassurances of your neatest and dearest and get on with your otherwise satisfying life? Ally Linden chooses door number one, and what she discovers behind it will surprise her, and although the astute reader will probably figure it out before she does, it won't spoil the pleasures of this lively narrative.

Ally arrived at work early one morning realizing she left her key card at home. Thankfully, another employee lets her in. As she waits for her assistant to arrive, her boss arrived and is shocked to see her - as she hasn’t worked there in five years. She faints, gets sent to ER, and slowly her memories come back — except for the last 48 hours.

With the help of her therapist and a private investigator, Ally tried to remember what happened - and what trauma caused her fugue state.

I did enjoy this book - it was an easy read, an interesting plot, but not going to be a favorite of 2020. For fans of suspense books, give it a try!

I enjoy reading Kate White's novels because they are a good mix of mystery-thriller-suspense, and include a bit of her background in high end fashion, design, and lifestyle. Ally is a personal finance expert that suddenly shows up at a place she worked at 5 years ago with no memory of the last 48 hours. She is confused and distraught and immediately wants to know what happened and why did she lose her memory. She hires a private detective to help her and confides in only a few people as she tries to piece things together. I mostly enjoyed this one, but I felt like some of the sub plots were a little too much of a divergent from the story and weren't really necessary.

Overall, I didn't expect the twists and was surprised at the ending.

Thanks to Net Galley and the Publisher for a pre-pub ebook of this novel. Have You Seen Me, gets into your head. This is a book that I kept reading way past the time I should have slept and woke up trying to solve the mystery! I flew though this read and was surprised at the end. The title has many meanings and I enjoyed applying them to Ally and the other characters. Well-written, fast read! Put this on your TBR list!
