The main character, Shay, is obsessed with statistics. I found that to be the most interesting part of the book. This genre is not normally one I would choose, but I was intrigued by the description.

While I found it to be a bit creepy, I felt it also dragged at times and could have been condensed to keep the pace moving.

The writing was very good and I would consider reading another novel by this new to me author.

I received a free ARC from MetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Overall I enjoyed this book. I like that the author always puts in a big twist somewhere in the story. Downfall was that some of it was predictable and there were a lot of major characters to keep track of. 3.5

I love this writing team and will absolutely read anything they publish immediately. There are probably too many characters for it to really be cohesive but a group of women banding together to destroy awful men? *chef's kiss*

I really liked this book. It was fast-paced and the characters were engaging. There were lots of twists and turns. Quick read. Thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

DNF. I’ve read three from this conwritten team. Two DNF and one (anonymous girl) finished and loved. I can’t figure it out!

You Are Not Alone is the best book so far by this duo. I was hooked from the first page, and it didn't let up until the last. This is a true suspense thriller that will make your head spin, but in a good way. The outcome of Shay and why she is chosen by a new group of friends, plus her part (or not) in the suicide she witnesses on the subway platform is intense. It unravels at a small pace but well worth the journey. You Are Not Alone also has a feel of a horror novel that has your guessing whether Shay will be the "final girl". You won't figure it all out until the last chapter. I was certainly thrown for a loop.

I was so excited to read the third book by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. Thank you St Martin’s Publishing for an ARC.

When Shay Miller witnesses a suicide on the subway platform it changes her entire life. She meets the Moore sisters and gets swept up in admiring their perfect life, great friends and amazing wardrobe. Little does she know they are out to destroy her life.
I couldn’t put this book down and once again Greer & Sarah did not disappoint!

There were too many characters to keep track of as I cruised through the pages of this book. And the two inseparable sisters’ motivation took too long to discover. I am to the point where I am being very picky about my psychological thrillers. I guess I’ve read enough that my preference is for one that really has me gasping in shock. And, unfortunately, this one didn’t quite get there.

There are some twists and turns but it wasn’t mind blowing. So, if you have nothing better to do during the coronavirus, then this is definitely worth picking up. It’s an okay read and not boring.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Psychological Suspense at its best! This book will grab you and won’t let go until the end.
Shay, is a quiet analytical young woman who lives with her best friend Sean (and is secretly in love with him-though he has serious girlfriend) who in the blink of an eye loses her job, witnesses a suicide, and loses her apartment. The suicide was so traumatic Shay felt compelled to learn more about the woman. Seeing a flyer for a memorial, Shay shows up and upon meeting the woman’s friends is quickly drawn into their circle. Her new friends seem concerned for her welfare and quickly take Shay under their wings, helping her find a place to live. Always on the outside, Shay marvels at how the connection with the women greatly improve her outlook on life and her self-worth. I didn't want to stop reading!

I found it to be just a little bit too slow at the start, but it got better as it went on. I really enjoyed this book. Some of the twists I didn't expect!

This was my first experience with a Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen book and I absolutely loved it! It was such a wonderfully suspenseful read and the twists and turns had me scrambling to read more as soon as possible. I really enjoyed this as my first read from this author duo and I can't wait to read more!

Thanks to St. Martin's Press for the advanced copy of You Are note Alone, out now!

Shay is a bit of an outcast with few friends and even fewer love interests. She secretly has feelings for her roommate, who is very much in love with his girlfriend. One day, Shay leaves the house heading to the subway to get away when she witnesses a woman (Amanda) jump.

Feeling a connection to the girl, she ended up meeting the Moore Sisters, two of Amanda's closest friends. The Moore Sisters seem instantly interested in Shay, but they have ulterior motives as they try to pick apart Shay's connection to Amanda.

The sisters and their group of friends are much more than meets the eye, meddling and attempting to set Shay up for a crime she had no involvement or knowledge of.

The book itself was interesting, but it wasn't my favorite so I'm giving it three stars. The writing style was great, though, so this may have just not been the book for me. It may be interesting to others who enjoy the continual twists and turns of a plot so I'd still recommend it to others if the blurb sounds interesting. I'd likely still pick up other books from the author pair, too.

You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen is a page-turner. I checked out the audiobook from my local library, and I couldn't stop listening to it. I found it a bit predictable, but it was still a good read.

Thanks to the authors, publisher, and NetGalley for a copy of the ARC.

When Shay Miller sees a woman in a green polka dot dress tear off her necklace and jump in front of a subway car, she is shaken to her core. Her roommate Sean, usually the person she would talk to, is spending all his time with his new girlfriend Jody, and Shay feels very alone. Her temp job is unrewarding, she has no friends in New York besides Sean, and after witnessing the suicide, she is afraid of the subway, which keeps her from easily traveling around the city.

Enter Cassandra and Jane Moore, sisters who are close friends of Amanda’s – the woman who jumped- and they make Shay their next project, helping her find a job and an apartment, sponsoring a makeover complete with highlighted hair and new contact lenses, and somehow manage to be around whenever Shay needs someone. As time goes on, though, Shay starts to recognize that the sisters have an ulterior motive, and an unsolved murder is set at Shay’s feet.

This book was convoluted, with so many twists and dark events, that I found it hard to read. Yes, Amanda’s suicide and Shay happening to be near her on the platform was the spark for the sisters’ plan. Yes, Shay had a lonely life and was desperate for new friends, especially once Sean and Jody got together. And yes, Shay is willing to do things for the sisters that she would never have thought possible. It was like mind control, and Shay is supposed to be the sacrifice. I have read other books by these authors before, but this one just didn’t reel me in.

Interesting plot but I felt like I was left with wanting more. It wasn't my favorite from the duo but I will continue to read what they publish.

4 very suspenseful stars! This book had me on edge from the word go! I didn’t quite get all the pieces fit together until the end, and that’s how I like my thrillers. There were no huge shocks, but there were enough little twists to keep me entertained.

Overall, this was another great psychological thriller from these authors! I can’t wait to see what they do next!

Didn't get past the first chapter of this one. Unfortunately, with all the doom and gloom in the world, a storyline that appeared to be based on a stranger's suicide was not something I was keen to pursue. If we were not in the midst of a pandemic, I may have persisted to read-on but was seeking a feel-good read.

You Are Not Alone is up there with Anonymous Girl for my favorite book by this dynamic duo. I love a good stalker suspense story and this one did not disappoint.

This book is okay. Not the best one, but it's alright. It took me a few days to read it and months to finally post a review. But I'm looking forward to reading more from the author.
