I really enjoyed this book!! It was a little slow in places but the writing was amazing, and I loved how the characters grew.

For the third time and this duo is still charming me with their stellar work. After Shay witnesses a suicide in the tube, she becomes obsessed with the victim. She wants to know what made Amanda jump in front of a train. The event catapults her from an already unstable life into the paths of the Moore sisters, and thus begins their twisted relationship. Not all is what it seems. Saying more will detract from the experience of the novel. This one is as good as The Anonymous Girl and The Wife Between Us.
Thank you to Netgalley and publisher for the ARC.

Let me start by saying that this is easily the best book I've read all year.  No exaggeration.  And I've read A LOT of books this year.

When I first heard the news that there was a new book out by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, my reaction was "Yes, please!  Sign me up!"  I didn't even have to read the blurb to know I wanted to start reading this one NOW.  And I was hooked immediately.

The point of view switches back and forth from lonely Shay Miller to the fabulous Moore sisters, with chapters from other women interspersed throughout to keep the story rolling.  This book kept me on my toes from page one and I couldn't bear to put it down.  Every time you start to think you know what's going on, the next chapter opens another door and realize you haven't got it quite right after all.  You are kept guessing all the way to the end and each chapter keeps you hungry for more.  I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for the next "I can't put this down!" book to curl up with.  I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Shay loves data and numbers. She keeps a Data book with percentages and statistics. This might sound dry to you, but what happens to Shay makes you gasp and your heart beat faster.
One evening, Shay witnesses a strange woman commit suicide on the subway platform. She then becomes obsessed with the woman. What's her name? Amanda. Where did she come from? Shay goes to Amanda's memorial service.
Shay isn't the only one with an obsession. Two sisters who were Amanda's friends befriend Shay. They are even more obsessed with her.
I thoroughly enjoy Hendricks and Pekkanen's books, and was delighted when I received an email offer to download this from Netgalley. I thank the publishers for two wonderful days of reading.

Shay witnesses a woman commit suicide on the subway platform in NYC and it has a lasting impact on her. She is living with a friend that she is secretly in love with and working at a temp job. She doesn’t have much going for her but things seem to start looking up when she is befriended by 2 sisters following the suicide.

I loved the first two novels from these authors, so when I realized this ARC was available, I constantly searched Netgalley hoping to request it. Then I got an email from the publisher with a link to download the book and it was like early Xmas. This was a quick read. I kept turning the pages, reading it in a day and a half, because I had no idea what was actually going on and I really wanted to know. I don’t think this one was quite as good as the two previous novels. I felt like there were a few loose ends that I have questions about, but it was still a really good read and I look forward to their next novel.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for the opportunity to read and review YOU ARE NOT ALONE by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review.

Five stars and here’s why:

LOVED IT! I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to read THE WIFE BETWEEN US and AN ANONYMOUS GIRL and true to fashion, these two authors don’t disappoint with their third collaboration. Holy moly what a rollercoaster ride that kept me guessing at every page turn. Total book hangover. Highly recommend.

You are not alone fell a little flat for me. It is a page turner but I wasn’t overwhelmed with the ending. The big reveal and twists were okay but nothing to call home about. I can’t really describe much more without giving away the plot but I think it was still worth the read.

I was really irritated with the way Shay was so trusting and so nosy when it came to Amanda and the sisters. While there may be women out there like her, I just wish she wasn’t so naive about what was happening to her and allowed these women to befriend her in the way that they did.

The ending wrapped up too clean for me and there wasn’t a real connection to Daphne and James that was set up in the beginning (yes I get the REAL story behind it all) but I wish they connected James involvement with Daphne again once the big reveal happened. Makes me wonder if that was a set up too?

Most of the characters were well developed and I liked the look back into the past for Valerie and Shay but this isn’t my favorite read from this author duo.

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of You Are Not Alone!

I will seriously read anything these two women write! The Wife Between Us was one of my favorite books and this is a very close second. Poor Shay, a lonely New Yorker who witnesses Amanda’s suicide, attends her memorial interested in finding out more about her life, becomes friends with her friends and gets embroiled in this mystery surrounding a guy, James... how are all of these women connected? You’ll read from all of their points of view and still not quite get the shocking ending. The Moore sisters are devious and manipulative and will stop at nothing to keep their big secret from being revealed, which doesn’t mean good things for Shay. Definitely recommend! Great, fast read!

Wow, another great book for this duo! The only criticism I had was that it was a little difficult to follow all the women in the group and their back stories but that did not keep me from enjoying this book. I loved Shay’s character and really was able to connect with her. This book kept me entertained and it was so hard to put down at times. Read this book, you won’t be disappointed!

I loved this book and raced through it! After having read their first two I knew I wouldn't be disappointed and this was one great thrill ride! When Shay--who is desperate for a job, friends, and a boyfriend--meets Jane and Cassandra after watching a stranger throw herself on the subway tracks, she finally feels like she's been accepted into an elite group. And she has...but she has no idea what's in store for her! Little does she know that there is a "plan" in place and all of their gestures of friendship are, in reality, more ominous than she can imagine. Told from alternating perspectives, the novel follows both Shay and the scheming young women as they plot their course that's bound for disaster; the only question is who will win and who will lose?

Another fantastic book by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. Loved this book. I think it's their best one yet! I enjoyed the setting and how the characters alternated telling their story each chapter. I will most definitely be recommending this book, Thank you for the advanced copy. I could not put it down!!

I think I will be in the minority with this book but I found it 'just o.k.'. I found it slow, and difficult to get a grasp on the plot until well past the halfway point. Essentially the book is about a nerdy young woman living in NYC and her relationship with two sisters. It's full of surprises that I did not see coming, which I liked. But to me, it read like a Young Adult novel, the lead character was really immature and naive.

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the chance to read and review this book.

Shay witnessed a young woman jump to her death on a subway platform. As someone who is going through a lot of personal turmoil at the time, she becomes invested in finding out everything she can about the jumper, which leads her to the Moore sisters, who are very interested in Shay but for different reasons...

I had read Anonymous Girl and The Wife Between Us, so when I saw a new book from the pair was coming out I jumped at the chance to read it. This is my favorite of the three, I read it in one sitting! This was a unique concept for a thriller and there were some twists that I really didn’t see coming! I will definitely be recommending it when it is released!

Shays on a downward spiral in life. She’s single, she’s lonely, and recently unemployed. The Moore sisters are drawn to Shay’s loneliness taking her in as a friend. This sisterhood of women build confidence in other women offering protection and support. Shay is taken by the Moore sisters generosity and is all too eager to become accepted by them.

Overall:
The story is comprised of multiple points of view but it’s mostly Shay and the Moore sisters whose point of view is given, the majority of the time.
It’s a dialogue driven story. The authors take their time developing the characters allowing the reader time to acclimate to them. We get to study patterns and habits observing the behaviors of each character.

Very little is revealed. They don’t want to give too much away. It’s a clever plot with unexpected twists and turns.

Character driven story with important timelines headlining a few chapters. The story is comprised of three parts. This is a visually stimulating book where I can actively image the scenes playing out before me. The story was choreographed at a steady pace. There were smooth transitions leading to a spectacular ending.
Greer keeps the reader questing every step of the way. Just when you think you have a handle on what’s going on a new twist is thrust your way having you reconsider your theory. It’s well executed and written strategically well.

Shay was down on her luck. She got laid off and stuck in an apartment with a guy who doesn’t look at her as anything more than just a friend. She just witnessed a woman jumping off a subway platform to her death. After befriending the sisters, Cassandra and Jane, things seem to look up for Shay. She got a new job, a makeover and a new place to live. The beautiful and powerful duo has everything that Shay can dream of: money, looks and a friendship that Shay has always dreamt of. Finally, Shay feels like she belongs. What can possibly go wrong?

Brilliantly written, and I dove right in. This is Hendricks and Pekkanen best work yet to date. The layout of the story was masterful. The mystery was built as the story moved along as opposed to slowly revealing. Which kept me reading and guessing along a way. The statistics that the authors woven into the story were smart. A little truth in all the lies. What I found weird was the fact that Cassandra and Jane were always together in the story. If I was Shay, I would find that to be a little uneasy. The ending was not to be disappointed. There were many clues to the lies within the characters, but it’s easily overlooked. Read carefully and enjoy.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me read this fabulous ARC in exchange for an honest review.

When the publishing company sent me an email asking if I wanted to review this ARC, because I reviewed the previous two titles by these authors, I was over the moon. Jumping for joy. I immediately accepted it and sat down and read the book over the course of 8 hours. I would of been done sooner if I didn't have to adult. Adulting sucks.
As with the two other two novels, this was riveting. A page turner that draws you in from the first chapter on. The book alternates between multiple characters and their experiences in the past and the present and it all flows together seamlessly.
Shay is one of those women that want so much, but just can't seem to gain it. They are ordinary and in the middle and attention just doesn't flock their way no matter what they do. But one day a weird turn of events puts her in the shadow of two sisters who seem to have it all. As they work their way into her life....or is it Shay working her way into their's...the storyline takes you down an unexpected road. This book keeps you hanging on the edge of your seat and balancing between worlds, as you try to decide who and what to believe.
If you are looking for a page turner and a thriller that leaves you shook, this is the one for you. Don't miss this book or any of the other two by this set of authors. They are on my can't miss list to read.

Thanks for the ARC Net Galley

I enjoyed the first one and here I think Greer and Sarah have done it yet again.

The thriller part for me is that the p[lot lines are fresh, not a rehash of the last thing.

P.S. Beware those subways :)

For anyone who has read The Wife Between Us or An Anonymous Girl, it's safe to say that when Hendricks and Pekkannen team up, the readers are in store for a treat and this is certainly the case with You Are Not Alone. When Shay witnesses a woman jump in front of an oncoming subway, she is strangely sucked into the life that the woman left behind - through her friends and more. Watching You Are Not Alone unfold is a truly fun ride that will have you guessing and needing to turn the pages faster to find out what happens next!

Shay Miller can be standing 5 feet away from you and you wouldn't notice her.
Cassandra and Jane Moore are noticed everywhere they go.
Shay is lonely, has nothing and no one. And the Moore sisters have everything, and now they want Shay.

I really enjoyed this book.
So rarely do I find a book in this genre where I have no idea whats going on.
And until the last couple of pages... I had no clue what I was reading, and that was a great feeling.
To know that anything can happen.

This is the kind of book that you will not want to put it down. And when you are forced to put it down, you will could the hours till you can pick it back up.

One moment, by chance. Seeing one woman’s death by suicide on the subway. That’s all it takes for Shay to be thrown more off-kilter than she already is.

She’s in a vulnerable place when she meets the Moore sisters and is thrilled when they begin to support her as the friends she needs in the aftermath of witnessing death. But as the sisters pull Shay into their glamorous world, is it really what she wants or is she just pretending to be someone else?

Although this was not my favorite thriller by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, it certainly kept my interest! As usual, the author duo writes from varied character standpoints, as well as back and forth from past to present. It switches like these and the slight insight into each character’s thoughts that make this story move quickly. If you enjoyed An Anonymous Girl and The Wife Between Us, pick this one up, too!
