Entertaining, light, easy read following ex Army Ranger Tucker McBride as he’s trying to find his way in society following his discharge from the Army and an unfulfilling desk job in D.C. Gillian Thacker is part owner (with her mother), of a bridal salon and is engaged not too happily to Jeremy. The chemistry between Tucker and Gillian is unmistakable, neither are willing to act on it though, not when she’s still with Jeremy, but when circumstances change, all bets are off. I loved Tucker, he was kind, sensitive, macho and sexy, all rolled into one hot as hades package. He was so patient (too patient) with Gillian, who was a little bit too dithery for my liking. I wanted her to be more take charge and passionate, and I didn’t always think she deserved the perfection that was Tucker. Some highly entertaining characters, linked with both families and friends. The story was highly enjoyable, and extremely addictive, but maybe a bit drawn out in parts. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Tucker by Emily March. This book is in two series. It's the 17th book in the Eternity springs series and also The McBrides of Texas series book 2. I really enjoyed the connection between the characters and the storyline. I look forward to reading more series and more by Emily March.

Emily March is a new author to me. It can be read as a stand alone, but I do wonder if you would get a deeper appreciation if you were to read other books in the series first.
 
Tucker is a retired Army Ranger who I fell hard and fast for ; a totally swoon worthy character that ticked the boxes for me. Although I had a hard time connecting with Gillian’s character.

Gillian is totally focused on weddings and her business Bliss Bridal Salon. The fact that her own love life is in ruins, does not help. Tucker has never thought about marriage and yet as he gets to know Gillian, he wonders if he can convince her to take a chance on love with him?

I love small town romances and Redemption, Texas sounds like a great place to visit. This is a sweet, romantic, heartwarming, love story with characters that you cannot help but fall for and which I enjoyed.

Cute story. I loved that Tucker was a man with confidence in who he was and what he wanted, but was supportive of Gillian in being strong herself. There aren’t enough male characters like that!

I loved this book! I have enjoyed all of the Eternity Springs books, and the Brazos Bend books, and I love how this trilogy brings them all together! Gillian and Tucker are wonderful characters - there’s lots of chemistry, great family and friends, a frenemy or two, a cheating ex, a couple of loving dogs, plenty of emotion, and love! I look forward to reuniting with these characters when Boone’s book comes out!

The premise of the story is good, but the story is drawn out with self doubt which might have been with good reason if it wasn't for what leads up to it.

I like this series and was a little disappointed in the character development of this particular book. Tucker plays a good role. He is kind and respectful. His intentions are admirable and he has the patient of a Saint.

Gillian has been betrayed, and this has knocked back her confidence. She doesn't seem to take Tucker's feelings into account, until towards a somewhat rushed conclusion. I am still debating about her being in love or going through the motions of realising her dream at all costs.

I love Tucker, but not impressed with Gillian. Not the best book in the series.

If there’s any book world I would give up everything I own in to order to live there, March's Eternity Springs is that world. Truly, I didn’t think there could be anything better than Eternity Springs, but this spin-off series in the tiny Texas town of Redemption, just a short distance from the Enchanted Canyon, certainly holds its own. It has the handsome McBride cousins, so yes please, and Angelica, the Fallen Angel Inn's proprietor, is the cousin of Celeste Blessings, the heart and soul of Eternity Springs.

It all starts with Gillian Thacker getting into a fight with her fiancé, storming off in a huff, and ending up stranded on the side of the road on a hot summer day. Tucker McBride has just left the Army Rangers and hasn’t decided which direction to go, both literally and figuratively, but when he spots Gillian walking down the road, he can’t help but offer his assistance.

Tucker might like what he sees, and the more he gets to know Gillian, the deeper he falls, but there’s still that little matter of a fiancé in the picture, and Tucker definitely doesn’t poach. As you can imagine, Gillian is conflicted and, even after her breakup, she needs time to learn who she is without a regular plus one and to figure out what she wants in life.

This one has a little of everything, from bridezillas, mean girls and a smarmy anti-hero to survivalist training. And then there's Angelica. She may have the same ability to “see" things, like Celeste, and although her words of wisdom may be just as ambiguous as Celeste's when you're on the receiving end, her delivery is much more outspoken and blunt.

Tucker and Gillian are masters of the slow burn, and I do mean sloooow. The way the writer portrays the relationship had me on the edge of my seat and devouring every word. She breathes life into complex, endearing characters who have a lot of baggage, broken hearts, and damaged souls, who are both in need of healing. “Where troubled souls find peace” is in the Enchanted Canyon -- in its beautiful, majestic backdrop, the quietness of nature and the magic it works on those who need it.

Do yourself a favor. Read Tucker and Gillian’s story and see if the canyon can work its healing magic on your soul, too. While we can’t physically go to Eternity Springs or the Enchanted Canyon, they can come to us through this writer's profound, poignant, stirring words. Once you’ve visited either place, it will live on forever in your heart, and you’ll be eagerly anticipating your next visit.

Tucker by Emily March was a sweet romance based in Ms. March's The McBrides of Texas series. I haven't read the previous books in the series but this one does stand alone without any problems.

Tucker McBride was absolutely one of the best male leads that I've read in a long time. He was patient, kind, loving, honest and strong in his beliefs about himself and life. Gillian was a mess from the beginning. I confess that she got on my nerves several times throughout the story. With a strong plot that includes family, learning to trust yourself again, friendships and love it was an engaging read.

“Tucker”, by Emily March (St. Martin’s Paperbacks), is a story set in a small town, about a former Army Ranger trying to find his compass and forge a new identity after leaving the army and an engaged woman who has doubts about her fiancé and herself.
I liked both characters and watching Tucker gradually adapting to his new life in Redemption, Texas, building his business and wooing Gillian. Her doubts and musings were less interesting to watch and the talking by family and friends didn’t really grab my interest, as well as other formal aspects of the romantic couple relationship.
It was interesting that the instant attraction and sexual awareness between Tucker and Gillian take a step back when reality imposes.
I found the storyline a bit drawn out and had a bit of trouble keeping up with all the characters.

I'm addicted to this series. After reading the opening of this book that included a Texas soldier riding a Harley, I was all in. It's a good read. Tucker is a dreamboat whom set his sites on Gillian from the first time he saw her. Except she's engaged to a spineless weakling. I surmised a major subplot quickly and was right. Later, Tucker makes his move. I did get impatient with Gillian over her moping. The best part of the book is the first trip to Vegas. It's a sizzling read.

This was a wonderful heartwarming story. It was so good to return to Redemption, Texas! When I began the book, this “coming home” feeling came over me. I had forgotten how much I love the characters in this series. Emily March creates a world in her books that invites the reader to join her in a lovely journey.
This is the story of Gillian, co-owner of a Bridal Salon, soon to be a bride herself, full of doubts (about going through with her wedding) and trying to brush them off, and Tucker, newly retired U S Army Ranger, ready to begin the next part of his life, if only he could decide what that should be.
These two, both on the cusp of the next phase of their lives, find each other at exactly the right time. A situation occurs that knocks Gillian to her core and has her doubting anything she feels. Tucker is there for support and friendship and hopes that friendship grows to something a bit more. He was trained to have a goal, be patient and achieve it. That trait comes in very handy in this situation.
The story is full of fun but also has a serious side, which contains some real life advice for anyone open to hear it.

I absolutely LOVE the Eternity Springs series by Emily March! I anxiously await for each book to release, and it is not often that I feel that way about a series. The books are written so well you feel as if you're sitting right beside the characters and watching everything as it happens. The characters are real with real-life problems, and the supporting characters are enough to support but not take over the plot. Add in a cute kid and some cute dogs, and I'm happy. Tucker's story with Gillian was sweet, sad, hot, and perfect...you'll feel the feels with this one. I highly recommend this entire series, especially Tucker's story.

I think this my first book by this author. I don’t usually read too many romance books. Even tho I haven’t read any other books in this series, this book was easy to follow. It did grab my attention from page one and kept my interest til the very end. I enjoyed the story! Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the early copy

The Eternity Springs series is a great series. The continuation of the saga is no less exciting and steamy than the first one was.

Emily March does it again!! The McBride cousins are hot, hot, hot! This McBride brother has his hands full trying to win over a stubborn women. I loved this book from start to finish. I stayed up all night just to finish. It was THAT good!!! Give me more, Emily March!!! You filled my life with another great romance.

This book was the perfect distraction from the stress and (my) anxiety of the Holidays. Funny, romantic and frustrating. The couple in this book: Tucker and Gillian are perfect for each other. Tucker has more patience than any human in existence. Even when I thought he was going to lose it he did not. Gillian was a mess but found her strength with the help of Tucker - which I thought was wonderful.

The author really wrote the perfect man in Tucker. Honest, respectful, patient and good with kids... at some points I did have to roll my eyes at his perfection but I went with it anyway. Gillian was a strong independent woman who knew what she wanted from life, until she didn’t, and then she second guessed her entire life after that. This book didn’t end how I expected it to so that was a pleasant surprise. I look forward to book three and I’ve already went looking for the first book in the series.

This book is about Tucker. It can be read as a stand alone, which it was for me since I have not read anything by Emily March before. I really enjoyed it and look forward to going back and reading all of the others.

I have read several of the books in the series and I enjoyed them. this one is about Tucker, who is a McBride – the second book set in Redemption, Texas. The story has the same theme even though it is not in Eternity Springs. Tucker leaves the military and comes back to heal. Gillian goes through a terrible breakup. This is their story. The writing is very good and the story sweet and enjoyable. I liked it so much I bought the one before about his cousin Jackson.

We are back in Redemption, TX with another McBride cousin. This time it’s Tucker McBride . He has recently left his life as an Army Ranger. A job he once loved, until he no longer wanted to deal with the bureaucracy of DC .
On the road to Redemption, he comes upon a damsel in distress, GIllian Thacker. A woman that had just had a fight with her fiance, a man that does not deserve her. She’s owner of the town’s bridal store. The instant attraction between these two is obvious but Gillian goes her way after Tucker rescues her and Tucker still has to decide what he’s going to do with his life.
The plot was a little slow for my taste and it took me a while to get engaged in the story. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed Tucker and he was by far my favorite character in the book.
Overall, it was a sweet story, especially as we experience the main characters getting together .
