While I enjoyed this sweet romance, I wasn't blown away by it. I really adored Tucker -- he was a great, romantic hero -- but I felt that Gillian was kind of a stick in the mud. This is a spin-off of another Emily March series, but I had not read any of those books and didn't feel like I was missing out on backstory. If anything, there were an abundance of secondary characters, whom I'm guessing are from those other books.

Tucker and Gillian literally meet at the side of the road as he's returning to Redemption (Ha!) and she's stormed off after a fight with her fiance. Tucker is immediately smitten. and even though there is a ton of chemistry between them, Gillian is spoken for. She's unhappy in her relationship, but she's spoken for. Their paths cross again when he opens up his survival-training shop next to her bridal salon. When her relationship implodes, Tucker decides that he's the one she's supposed to be with, and goes all-out in convincing Gillian to give him a chance. The guy who never imagined himself settling down now wants exactly that.

Like I said, this was an okay book. I thought that their relationship stalled at points and felt too rushed at others. Gillian was too often a damsel in distress for my taste, and I didn't really like her all that much as a heroine. She also doesn't break up with her fiance until nearly halfway through the book, so I had a hard time shipping her and Tucker as the couple I was supposed to be rooting for when she was still (even unhappily) attached.

I received an advanced copy via the publisher and NetGalley and voluntarily left a review.

Tucker is part of the Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas Series by Emily March. Tucker is trying to find his way in life after his discharge form the military. I found his frustration and soul searching to be believable for vets returning back to civilian life. New dreams may need a new setting which is what happens as Tucker moves to Redemption, Texas.

When he does he meets Gillian Thacker. Her career and plans for the future are all in order. But are they? As a bridal shop co-owner she knows a thing or two about weddings, maybe not so much about how to have the happily-ever-after. An easy enjoyable read as these two do dance around each other as Gillian decides what or who she wants in her life.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tucker McBride is absolutely one of the best male leads that I've read in a long time. Not only was he patient and kind, but he was also loving, honest and strong in his beliefs about himself and life. Gillian was a mess from the beginning. I confess that she got on my nerves several times throughout the story, but ultimately I liked her. With a strong plot that includes family, learning to trust yourself again, friendships and love, it was an engaging read.

Tucker may be one of my all-time favorites. This is a romance about people who are real and completely believable. Tucker and Gillian are adults who figure out a way to live their best lives. As always, the supporting cast of characters is terrific.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas—Tucker is the 18th novel in Emily March’s Eternity Springs books. The story begins when Tucker McBride, cousin to Jackson and Boone, had recently separated from his Army Ranger service at the Pentagon. At lost ends, he returns to the family in Redemption, Texas. To get his bearings, Tucker retreats to Enchanted Canyon and the wilderness that calms his soul. Finding himself in the great outdoors, his cousins quickly convince him to open a wilderness school.

Gillian Thacker’s family is an old Redemption family. She and her mother, Barbara, are partners in Bliss Bridal Salon. The salon has quite a following with brides coming from all over for their dream gowns. Gillian has the dream to expand the business into wedding planning and has her eye on a building across the common area from her shop that has sat empty for years. Sparks fly when Tucker buys the building for his school and Gillian learns it was her fiancée, soon to be ex, that enabled the deal.

In an unlikely alliance, Tucker and Gillian find themselves thrown together in a variety of circumstances. Through thick and thin, this may be a blissful blessing for the unlikely pair. This is a very interesting, entwined tale from an iconic series and I did enjoy this book!

Gillian Thacker has hit a major speed bump. Things haven’t been quite right between Gillian and her fiancé, Jeremy. Imagine her surprise when she discovers he has outmaneuvered her on a business deal and is having a baby with her sorority sister?
Former U.S. Army Ranger Tucker McBride is newly retired from the military. He’s travelling to Redemption, Texas to set up a wilderness survival school with his cousins Jackson and Boone McBride. Sparks fly when Tucker and Gillian meet - he doesn’t act on his feelings because she’s engaged.
Emily March creates wonderful characters in the Eternity Springs series. Tucker is no exception. He’s charming, honest, loving and has a good heart. I loved that Tucker used strategies from his military training to pursue Gillian. Loved that he knew Gillian needed to get over the broken engagement—but, put his plan into action anyway!!
Loved the scene when Tucker uses his field glasses to spy on Gillian. Tucker believes that Gillian needs cheering up. He talks to her mother about cross promoting the display windows of her bridal shop with his wilderness skills store—think camouflage wedding dress, garter belt and hiking boots. Tucker is so pleased with his mission as he annoyed Gillian!
The chemistry between Tucker and Gillian was amazing and drew me into the story immediately. It was great fun to read how they were going act on their attraction. Loved, loved the humor in this romance! The conversations between Gillian and Tucker were awesome! Loved the back and for the banter and Tucker’s flirting. The epilogue was fabulous-Emily March gives Gillian her heart’s desire!
Emily March’s newest Eternity Springs novel is filled with passion, laughter and love! If you enjoy novels by Robyn Carr, Samantha Chase and Kristan Higgins—you will adore Tucker.

I have to say that I have been reading a lot of MC Romance and when I took the time to read this book I was blown away by it. I loved every minute of it and I love the two main characters Gillian and Tucker.

Gillian owns her own Bridal Salon and she loves her job. She loves doing weddings. That is until it comes to her and her life. Then we get to meet Tucker McBride who was a U.S. Army Ranger. Now that his days of being a ranger are over he opened up a wilderness skills training school right next to Gillian's shop.

When the two meet their is electricity there that sparks but Tucker knows he is in for the fight of his life if he thinks he is just going to win over Gillian. Who will win in this war of love..... will it be Gillian as friends or Tucker as husband and wife?

Gillian is a wedding planner who is in the process of planning her wedding but with the recent turmoil in their engagement it doesn’t bode well for their married life. When she finds herself stranded after a disagreement with her fiancé, she isn’t sure how to get back to town until she is rescued not by her fiancé but by Tucker who isn’t about to leave her on the side of the road.

After leaving his military career in his past Tucker is looking for a fresh start in Eternity Springs. He isn’t sure what direction his future may take but at least here he is close to family. When he meets Gillian, he is enchanted by the fiery beauty but isn’t about to pursue anything while she is engaged.

Gillian finds herself at a crossroads in her life both personally and professionally when fate brings her and Tucker together once more. Tucker knows that they are meant to be together and he is so patient and understanding with Gillian until she realized it as well.

I enjoyed not only getting to know Gillian and Tucker but catching up with all the other characters that we know and love in a town that feels like home.

This is the seventeenth book in in The Mcbrides of Texas series. Tucker and Gillian were great characters. Tucker was sweet, kind and level headed. What a wonderful contemporary romance with relatable characters who jump out of the book and into your heart, and a wonderful story that stirred emotions, inspired me and had me totally involved in all that was happening from the beginning and I did not want the book to end when I got to the last page. I completely fell in love with Tucker McBride, former US Army Ranger, who establishes a Wilderness Skills Training School which is perfect for this patient, strong and kind gentleman. I enjoyed his instant attraction, undeniable chemistry and heartwarming romance with Gillian Thacker who owns Bliss Bridal Salon in Redemption, Texas. Ms. March blew me away with this second book in The McBrides of Texas series and I can hardly wait to see what happens next in this must-read series. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I have loved Emily March’s writing for a long time now. Her Eternity Springs is an all time favorite of mine, and I think this spinoff series, The McBrides of Texas, has become another favorite. Tucker was an amazing, hot, H and I loved Gillian’s fierceness. She had lessons to learn, as did Tucker, but with the help of Celeste, and Angelica’s wisdom, they allowed themselves the HEA that Ms March’s writing does so well. Her characters are always fully developed and so believable. Tucker was such a great male lead, and even though I have been a fan of these books for a long time, this book can totally stand on its own! Kudos for another entertaining story.

This such a good love story. You can’t but help from falling for Tucker. I was glad to see him go back home to Texas where his family lives after he got out of the military. When we don’t know what we want to do or where to go, it’s always nice to have a special place to go to recharge. I enjoyed seeing how Tucker met Gillian and their special moment together. Gillian is from the same town Tucker was going. I guess I can understand how obsessed she was with her wedding since her and her mother owned a dress shop. I did feel like times she took it to the extreme. I hated what her fiancé and some of her college friends did to her. Since Tucker is such a great guy, he did all he could to cheer Gillian up—even if it was to make her angry. Their friendship helped them each to grow, especially Gillian. I loved their story and strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

This book captivated me from the beginning. I've really enjoyed other books by Emily March and found Tucker just as good.
This book was a sweet romance that was also very funny in spots. Poor Gillian is dealing with her fiance dumping her, while Tucker is ready to move in on her once she's single. His plan to do it is creative and smart. He's an outdoorsy kind of guy and Gillian is just about the polar opposite. Her taking his wilderness class was a lesson in frustration for her, but a different kind of frustration for him as he watched her lean down to blow on her kindling.
My favorite part was their totally opposite reactions and feelings about what she does when she gets stranded in the woods. The difference between men and women rears it's ugly head!
This book was so fun to read! Loved it and Tucker and Gillian.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley.

With wonderful characters that will have you wanting to take trip to Redemption, Emily March has once again delivered a well-written story that will you leave you smiling and wanting more of the magic that she has created with Eternity Springs.

It was easy to fall in love with Tucker right away. He’s a bit lost, looking for his future now that he has left the service. He’s honorable and solid, sexy and romantic…basically everything you would want from a man. Although I had a soft spot for Gillian, especially as her story unfolded, it took a bit longer for me to come around. She so wants her happy-ever-after that she’s lost sight of what’s truly important – the person she is going to share that happy ever after with. Eventually she finds her way, but it was tough at times watching her second-guess and doubt herself over and over.

Emily March has created a world that truly defines what family is and I love how she brings her characters from the Eternity Springs series together to add an additional dimension to the story she is telling. The Blessing cousins, Angelica and Celeste, are always a hoot and add a magic to every story that never fails to leave me with a life lesson of my own. The support and warmth, as well as the tough love that always seems to be needed at times with some of these stubborn characters, is always written with such impact to each story.

Ms. March has created a magical world in her Eternity Springs series and I know that every new story will be crafted with relatable characters and wonderful dialogue that will leave me with a renewed belief in love and happy-ever-afters. If you haven’t picked up a book by Emily March, then you are missing your chance at the same.

Two of the things I admire most about Emily March’s writing are her great sense of place and her authentic “voice” for her male characters. Texan readers can immediately recognize references to state favorites like Buc-ee’s and Dr. Pepper and take sides in the rivalries between college football teams. The characterization of Tucker, Jackson, Boone, even Jeremy is believable. Their language sounds real.

I found myself charmed by both Tucker and Gillian from the start. I enjoyed their meet-cute and was invested immediately in their happy ending. Of course, the path to happily-ever-after is never smooth and we have to contend with an ongoing relationship that had to be resolved first before our pair is matched with each other.

I loved the strength of friendships and family relationships that run in these Eternity Springs books. I prefer it when the protagonists in the stories I read have a reliable support system. In this story, Gillian has her mother and her best friends while Tucker counts on his cousins.

Another aspect of the book I enjoyed so much is the competence porn – Tucker’s survival skills workshop was quite informative and incredibly useful in real life. I really appreciate a book that educates at the same time that it entertains.

As with the previous book, the scenes away from Redemption are not my favorites., although the Vegas portion was quite fun and the visits to Eternity Springs in Colorado were necessary for the plot to move along. The number of named characters are more manageable here than in Jackson. There’s still a lot, but not as many as in the previous book.

Overall, I really enjoyed Tucker. It is light and entertaining with enough conflict to make things interesting. I’m excited to see how Emily writes Boone’s intriguing story.

To summarize, Tucker McBride has recently left the military and has returned to Redemption, Texas to start a new life. When Tucker finds a lady named Gillian stranded on a backroad in Texas, he learns that she was involved in an auto accident and assists her. From their first meeting, Tucker is smitten. Later, he opens his wilderness survival business, unaware that it is in close proximity to Gillian's bridal business. The story follows these characters and their journey through friendship, heartbreak and ultimately, love.
This novel is well-written and the characters are well-defined. I have always enjoyed reading a book by Emily March and this one did not disappoint. The author used humor and real life situations to enhance one's reading experience and to keep the reader engaged. The author pulled me into the world her characters occupy and I became a proverbial fly on the wall as Tucker and Gillian met the challenges that arose on the way to their HEA ending.
This is an extraordinary novel worthy of 5 stars!

Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas: Tucker by Emily March is the 17th Eternity Springs book as well as the 2nd book in the new Redemption series. After reading all these books I am now sure it will be the same for me if author March writes one hundred books.

Every single time I fall so easily right back into the story that it is like I’m back home. Back home to a place that has slipped my memory a little, but then the feelings flood back. A few chapters in and I want them all to be my family. In fact I feel like they are my family. I think I know where the story is headed but the joy is in getting there.

Emily March has a gift for writing characters you can’t help but love. They are just so good, so honorable. Even when they fear they aren’t. Only honorable people worry about being honorable. The description is of Gillian but could describe anyone and everyone in Eternity Springs and Redemption: kind, generous, loyal, loving, faithful to promises, persistent in goals, confident and proud, often practical but also a bit daring and adventurous. You can’t help feeling good as you read.

Gillian is full of contradictions, and very vulnerable. She knows breaking her engagement was the right thing but it still hurts, and it has badly shaken her confidence in herself. Tucker thought he would be a military man forever, until he discovered he just could not. He is tough on the outside, soft on the inside. Such love just waiting to pour out for the right woman. I was overcome with sweetness and had tears in my eyes when Tucker was picking the wedding gown for the window display.

But don’t think an Eternity Springs/Redemption story is just sweetness and fluff. In the midst of these wonderful characters are some not-so-wonderful characters and deceit and danger. Although it seems obvious where the plot is going it will surprise you with twists and turns and totally unexpected events, as well as laughter and heat and lots of love.

Thanks to St. Martin’s Press via NetGalley for providing an advance copy for my honest review. All opinions are my own. I thorough enjoyed Tucker and highly recommend it. I’m eagerly waiting for the next and the next and the next visits to Eternity Springs and Redemption.

Tucker by Emily March
Eternity Springs: The MacBrides of Texas, book 2.
Can be read as a stand-alone contemporary romance.

Touching, sweet, and adorable. I fell in love with the hero. He’s kind. He’s emotionally strong. And he’s 100% committed to making her his own.
A wonderfully delightful love story.

Excerpt:
“Jeremy was nowhere to be found.
So, Tucker closed his eyes, pulled her a little closer, and indulged himself. Sexy, soft, and sweet, she was heaven in his arms. She was glorious.”
Excerpt from Tucker by Emily March
