Emily March is a new to me author. I picked up this book on a whim because I do like to step outside of my box from time to time. This is a book that is well into a series, and I didn’t realize it at the time. Now, I’m all about a good series. But dropping in at this point in the series was a bit of a struggle while reading this book so I do recommend starting from the beginning. With that said, it was fairly easy to follow along with the backstory and figure out who all the characters were to each other, but I’m of the mind that reading a series in order always gives you the best experience. But that’s not the author’s responsibility so it doesn’t have anything to do with what I thought about the book. I just wanted to throw that out there for anyone that might be considering jumping in at this point in the series like I did.

NICUnurse’s Rating: The book was well written with an easy to follow plot that wasn’t too terribly predictable. I spent several enjoyable hours immersed in the story and the characters’ lives and was left with a pleasant feeling at the end. While it might not have been the most emotional or moving book I’ve read this month, it was most definitely enjoyable and nowhere near a waste of time. I’ll be reading more of this author in the future, for sure!

I give Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas: Tucker 4 out of 5 stars!

Great book and series! This is the second book in the Eternity Springs: McBrides of Texas series. I really enjoy this series and all of the connections throughout the books. I would highly recommend for readers of Debbie Macomber and Carolyn Brown.

This is a book on healing. Tucker is on his way home after leaving the Army Rangers. He spots a woman on foot in the middle of no where and stops to help her. They realize they are from the same area and know who one another are through mutual friends and family. After getting her to safety he goes on his way.

Gillian owns a bridal shop with her mother and she is in the middle of planning her own wedding but she is doubting if that is the right decision. It seems they are going in different directions. She also still remembers the day Tucker rescued her and there were sparks there that shouldn't have been.

This is a sweet story about family and small town relationships and how two people that truly are matched come together. I will say I hated how Gillian's character was blinded to her fiance's bad ways, I wish her characters had been a little stronger.

I received an early copy from Netgalley to read and review and give my honest opinion. I enjoyed this book. It is a 3.5 for me so I am rating it a 4.

My very first from this author and I wouldn't hesitate to read more from her. Emily March takes her time in telling this story of Gillian and Tucker, the jilted fiance and the former military man. These two meet under a wild circumstance and then find their paths forever intertwined as they are then owning businesses right next to each other in the small town of Redemption, Texas. A name that is truly perfect for these two.

I loved that both characters were strong-willed yet found a good kind of weakness in the other. Gillian is tough as nails and Tucker has a quiet strength about him and it all just fits.

The writing style is lovely and March brings out both the very best and worst in her characters and it makes for one wonderfully-crazy ride. Once in a while I need a small-town romance to recharge my own batteries and I'm happy to say that both Gillian and Tucker did just that as the can't help but fall for the other.

A true delight from beginning to end, Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas is worthy of a solid 4 stars! I appreciate the chance to find a new-to-me author and thank both Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read this well-written book.

This was a DNF for me, and here's why: we're not even two chapters in, and there is cheating going on. Yes, folks. The hero knows the heroine is engaged at the time, she knows she's engaged at the time (although she's in conflict over whether she still in fact is, given she just had a fight with her fiance and threw her ring at him), and yet they kiss. They've known each other for maybe an hour, and they think it's peachy keen to completely ignore the fact that she is not available.

I am fine with a heroine being with someone else when the story first starts, so long as there is clearly no funny business going on between her and the eventual hero of the book. But seriously, we're not even 10% of the way through the book. Give me a break.

I like Emily March, but this is a BIG no-no in my book, so I'll have to just wait for the next couple in the series and start there.

It has been a long while since I’ve read a laid back romance novel like this and let me tell you.
It feels good.
Gillian Thacker runs a bridal store and loves weddings so you would think her own wedding would go off smoothly and without a hitch.
Life just doesn’t seem to fall into place that easily though, does it?
Tucker McBride is an ex army ranger and had decided that even though his service days are over he still wants to put his skills to use. This is when he opens up a wilderness skills training school next to Bliss Bridal and meets the lovely Gillian Thacker. She’s engaged and he isn’t but neither can deny the spark they feel for one another.

A quick, cute, and funny read. You’ll be absorbed in the world of Eternity Springs from beginning to end. You’ll wish the pages never stopped.

If you are looking for a light, romantic, heartfelt story, then this is a good one for you. I absolutely loved the down south, home feel that this story brought between Thacker and Tucker. Just enough cheese and mushy romance to make your heart melt. A true down home romanctic novel following Tucker, returning from service and Thacker with her bridal salon. I really enjoyed watching their relationship blossom. You will love this bridal expert and wilderness expert and the journey their neighboring takes them.

Tucker by Emily March continues the story of the three McBride cousins. In the first book Jackson McBride found his HEA with Caroline Carruthers. Here Tucker McBride returns to Redemption, Texas an ex-Army Ranger with no idea of what he is going to do with his life now. He spends time in Eternity Springs healing. He first meets Gillian Thacker while driving home after leaving the army. Gillian, who owns Bliss Bridal Shop along with her mother, had a fight with her fiance and is walking back to Redemption. Tucker gives her a ride home on his motorcycle. Gillian's engagement is troubled and she has some serious decisions to make.

I really liked Tucker. Aside from his attractive appearance he is a genuinely good person. I admired his patience with Gillian and didn't blame him the times he lost patience with her. Gillian is a conflicted character. I'm glad she got her act together and found true love.

I enjoyed reading Tucker and Gillian’s story in Tucker by Emily March; book 17 in her Eternity Springs series. After his days as a US Army Ranger are over, Tucker McBride decides to put his expertise to use by starting a wilderness skills training school. He sets up shop next door to Bliss Bridal. As part owner of Bliss Bridal Salon, Gillian Thacker finds her life isn’t turning out the way she planned. The last thing she expects is for a real-life hero to come to her rescue when her entire future, living in Redemption, Texas, is at risk. This broken-hearted bridal expert is badly in need of a new set of survival skills. Tucker is totally attracted to Gillian and would love to have her in his life. When life implodes for Gillian, Tucker convinces her to take his hand and jump, feet first, into the adventure of a lifetime. After all, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas; or does it? Maybe Redemption needs some of the hope and healing one finds in Eternity Springs.

I adored Tucker!! He worked hard to overcome the difficulties of starting over when his dreams became nightmares. He believed in family first and was there for you when he was needed. However, I struggled with Gillian; I’m not sure if I ever connected with or understood her. She was the epitome of a girly girl. She had a list, for her plans, and had to follow it to the tee; no matter how wrong things were. Tucker saved the day for her more than once yet she wanted to keep him a secret and deny her feelings for him; she treated her cheating ex- better than Tucker.

Ms. March wrote a sweet and emotional story that should not be missed. It was a story filled with sexual attraction, and endearing characters. Encounters with Celeste Blessing and her cousin, Angelica, are reminders of the healing power of Eternity Springs. You do not need to read the previous books to enjoy this one. I highly recommend Tucker to other readers and look forward to Emily March’s next book.

Redemption, Texas – Present Day

Gillian Thacker’s wedding of her dreams is just around the corner. However, her fiancé, Jeremy, is being unreasonable, leading to them fighting and her leaving the remote area they were visiting for the weekend. Her car crashes, and it’s a stranger on a motorcycle who stops to help her. Turns out he is Tucker McBride, part of the McBride family who helped found Redemption. He’s on his way there after being away for years in the military. Something clicks between them, but Gillian ignores it because she is engaged. Afterwards, they run into one another occasionally, until the night things come to a head between Gillian and Jeremy. It’s Tucker who she turns to.

Tucker is attracted to Gillian; however, he respects that she’s engaged, and he won’t come between the couple. He instead tries to be a good friend. Tucker can already sense that Jeremy isn’t who he appears to be, but he can’t tell Gillian this. Meanwhile, he sets about finding the perfect spot for the survival school he intends to open in Redemption. When it turns out that the best place to have it is across the street from Gillian’s bridal store, all hell breaks loose when it’s revealed that Jeremy helped him in the purchase. Why? Because Gillian had plans—with Jeremy—to purchase that building to expand her business. Her fiancé has betrayed her. Now her business dreams—and marriage plans—are shattered.

Tucker is that guy you become good friends with. While there is a simmering attraction between him and Gillian, he doesn’t act upon it, even though it does lead them to kiss on New Year’s Eve. But once her engagement ends, Tucker reevaluates his feelings for her—and decides to pursue her, though he will take it slow. Their relationship soon turns from friendship to friends-with-benefits…and more. But Gillian is not quite over Jeremy. How long will it before she realizes that Tucker is the right man for her?

Their romance in TUCKER is a long and winding road. Along the way, Gillian discovers a lot about herself. She also proves to be spontaneous, which is something unusual for a woman who is detailed oriented. For years, she has planned her wedding and thought she’d found her groom in Jeremy. Was she more in love with the wedding details than the groom? As for Tucker, after being a loner for much of his life, he learns to let others lean on him. Will he win the heart of Gillian? Will she end up having the wedding that she’s always dreamed about?

Their slow building romance is a beautiful tale that readers shouldn’t miss. Grab a copy of TUCKER today.

Tucker's life has taken a turn from what he planned. As a result he returns to Redemption to spend some time with his cousins and in the outdoors. He meets local bridal shop owner Gillian and is very intrigued by her, but finds out she is engaged. He comes up with a new business idea that has him in close proximity to Gillian. When she calls off the marriage Tucker begins his slow wooing. An enjoyable story of second chances.

It took me a chapter or two to remember what happened in the last book, once I remembered I didn't want to stop reading! I loved the Eternity Springs series and this little spin off in Texas is just as good. I liked that even though it is mainly set in Redemption, Texas, there are some side trips to Eternity Springs that tie it together. Gillian is a bit head strong in what she wants, or thinks she wants. When she meets Tucker it's instant attraction, which is an issue for her since she's already engaged. Once she gets rid of the "dead weight" of a fiance, she's free to go after Tucker - who is already going after her! Entertaining story, HEA and a continuance of a wonderful series, what more can you ask for?

This was a great read. I loved the romance between Gillian and Tucker, and I loved the supporting characters. The town of Redemption was a great setting, and I would love to visit. I love to escape for an afternoon into a book such as this.
Many thanks to St. Martin’s Press and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a new author for me, and I was looking forward to finally reading one of her books. I really tried to like this book, but in the end I found myself skipping through a good part of it because it was just so irritating. Gillian was just plain indecisive, and nothing irritates me more than a character who is wishy washy, that was Gillian to the nymph degree. Tucker was a bit better, but honestly, I would have given up long ago on a woman who just couldn't make up her mind and kept leading me around by my nose. Support characters were enablers, which doesn't bode well for me, but they were her friends none the less. Enjoyed the setting of the book, but everything else just eh.

‪Attraction of Opposites‬
‪In the wilds of Enchanted Canyon, Tucker comes to peace with his decision to leave the army and makes plans for his future. Unfortunately his desire for a family does not look likely to happen any time soon as the only woman who has attracted him since he arrived in Redemption is engaged to be married. When Gillian’s dreams implode and her engagement is broken off, Tucker embarks on “Operation Horny Toad” - a plan to get to know her better.‬
‪Tucker and Gillian have nothing in common - he loves roughing it outdoors whereas she loves comfort and spas but that doesn’t affect the attraction between them. A lovely story, highly recommended.‬

This is a sentimental love story. It involves self discovery, healing and boundless love. Tucker is a on a journey when he meets Gillian whom he renames Glory. Gillian is having second thoughts about the man she is to marry. The author takes us on a realistic journey of a couple falling in love and deciding to spend their life together. She is able to bring out the readers delight as she shares the thoughts of her characters as they work on getting where they need to be. It’s a small town with good friends and family who love and support each other. There are no dramatics, just an easygoing story that you will love.

This was a good story. Gillian is engaged to a jerk, but Tucker comes to town and is smitten. The story had very good characters that were fun to get to know.. I loved the older ladies who passed out advice and really didn't llike Erica or Jeremy. It was interesting how the story came about and how Gillian finally learned how she truly felt. Good story

Tucker is the second book in the spinoff series The McBrides of Texas. I have not read any of the other books in the original series or the spin-off. You definitely get little hints here and there of a bigger story arc but you're not really losing much to the storyline that you're reading.
Gillian is at a crossroads, she has made plans that have been waylaid buy her scheming fiance. Boy is he a piece of work and I really wish somebody had taken him out and beat him. She's questioning herself and whether she can trust her instincts. It's time for her to stand on her own two feet and jump in.
Tucker McBride is that a different crossroads, after leaving the military he has to decide what to do with the rest of his life. A happenstance encounter with a stranded motorist who is off limits leaves him yearning for what could be. When the tables turn he is ready to take action and with his survival instincts Gillian doesn't stand a chance.

Tucker was an enjoyable, drama free, well written romance. That drew me in thanks mainly to Tucker McBride, who comes back to Redemption after serving in the army feeling a little lost and unsure of himself. But he soon finds his feet and proves to be a strong, sincere, kind and unassuming lead character, and loved getting to know him and his romance with Gillian was absorbing.

Not to mention it was entertaining seeing him go from crushing on Gillian whilst she was engaged to wooing her after her relationship fell apart. And Gillian was for the most part a likable character, although the mixed signals she was throwing out towards the end did get a little annoying.

But with plenty of small town charm, a lovely cast of supporting characters, and a genuinely sweet, engaging romance. This was a pleasure to read, and I would happily recommend it to others.
