An engrossing and entertaining read, I loved the world building and the well thought cast of characters.
The plot is fast paced and full of turns and twists.
I look forward to reading other books in this series.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

An almost college professor is recruited to help save the world. She is sent on an adventure that put her life at risk many times. The situation is challenged by her attraction to her trainer, who is forbidden to act on his attraction, again. There’s so much going on in his second installment of the Merkabah series and I loved it all.

Book 2 in the series. Young English teacher Daphne, has barely recovered from her first mission, and is now headed to Ecuador for her second one. With the help of the merkabah necklace, she opens portals and sends the bad entities away. Really liked the first one, and this one is good too, although a bit harder to follow. Had quite a few creatures from the mystical superstitions down there, and were not familiar to me. Also, the mystery around her guide echoed my questions from the first one, so must be an ongoing thing (didn't like the uncertainty). Enjoyed the dog and also liked Jack. Would highly recommend this book and series, but read the first one first to help understand the story.
