I'm not sure about the title, but I really enjoyed this one! She isn't as angry as I thought she'd be. That's okay because the story works anyway. Rose is a good, well-developed MC in this novel. She has a LOT of drama going on, that's for sure!

So, I was a tad creeped out by the middle of this one that Rose is only 14 and Jamie is "supposed to be a senior" or something. Rose seemed older sometimes, and at others it was pretty obvious that she was young. I also didn't care for all the "Is he my boyfriend?" crap. I don't like it when people are so clueless and don't find things out for themselves. Again, I know she's young, but it's still irritating.. oh well.

Lots of rage and high school drama in here. Regina makes me want to punch things. I hate bullies! And.. I almost hated Jamie. GUH, jerk. Yeah. Grrr.

Okay, so I sound like I hated this book right now.. but honestly, if I didn't have strong feelings about it, then I wouldn't have liked it as much, right? I read the whole thing in two sittings, so I was pretty into it. I felt for Rose. A LOT. I am patiently waiting for the sequel! Sounds interesting.

I requested this book ten years ago, and am no longer interested in reading. Thank you for the opportunity.

Though I went into this knowing it was about an "angry girl," I somehow expected it to be more fun than it turned out to be. Though I understood Rose's anger, grief, and angst, I didn't particularly connect with her or her love interest, Jamie, and felt like I didn't have enough sense of who he was to feel invested. I wished there had been more character growth throughout the book and that I had been clued into the fact that it is actually a series going in.

I requested this title back before my blogging break. I have ended up with a number of titles that are overwhelming to catch up on now I am back from my blogging break. I am regretfully not going to be reading and reviewing this title, but now I am back from my blogging break, I am looking forward to reading and reviewing some of your future titles. Thank you so much for the opportunity and apologies.

This is one of those books that I should’ve read when it was first released, but sadly didn’t. So it’s my own fault that I didn’t enjoy this one as much. This one focuses on a younger teen dealing with grief, and other teenage emotions while figuring out how to handle her life. The pop culture reference, at this point, felt a little dated. There was nothing in this book that made it unique enough for me to want to continue with the next book series, but it was an okay read.

When I first heard about this book, I was super excited to get my hands on it and read it. Once I started reading I was even more excited. Author Louise Rozett is just WOW, she has a way with words that just hit me and I couldn't get enough of it. I loved this book so much. I didn't want this book to end. It could have just kept on going and I would have been perfectly happy.

CONFESSIONS OF AN ANGRY GIRL had me hooked straight from the beginning. When I began the book I really didn't know what to expect. As soon as I started reading I knew I would probably be reading late into the night. Well that's exactly what happened.

From the summary I expected the book to be a pretty heavy and dark read but it was nothing like that. I can totally relate to Rose's character especially her personality and attitude, she isn't one to give under peer pressure just like myself I would say. I think one of the elements of the book that I found pretty fun and engaging was the different words at the start of each chapter along with a definition which came along with a sarcastic comment. It brought about this feeling of anticipation in some sense for the next chapter.

I particularly liked the different characters even though a few were clique like the cheerleaders being the queens of the school and all that but I didn't mind as the other characters were different and unique. I really liked Angelo's character especially as he seemed to always lighten the mood but also carried a story of his own. Not forgetting mysterious Jamie who I was definitely swooning over throughout the book, I think he captured me straight from the start especially as his character is quite quiet but enjoys art, this is a quality in a guy that is worth fanning myself over. But it wasn't only his cuteness that I liked it was the fact he had a history that Rose slowly unravels as the book goes on and you fall more in love with him. At the end of the book you're still wondering about different aspects of Jamie and his life.

Another reason why I really loved this book was because it presented issues facing teens today, it highlighted them in a realistic manner and showed the reader some teens behaviour and attitude towards topics like sex. Rose's adventure of sorts explores her reaction and experience, one that was quite outgoing was her trip to the gynaecologist which was quite interesting and unexpected.

I wouldn't really say Rose was exactly a very angry person as the title presents because with all things considered including her father's death she was quite a strong character because she didn't take out all her anger or frustration on everyone around but as you read the book you could see that she was slowly cracking and ready to burst. However I think by the end of the book you could feel some of that anger dissipate slowly. The author does an excellent job in taking us on Rose's emotional journey and does it in a way that the change is not sudden but kind of merges in slowly.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a short YA read that they will probably enjoy as much as I did personally. I'm already excited for the next book especially as the ending left me hanging and some questions unanswered. You'll probably find me counting down till the release of 'Confessions of an Almost Girlfriend' in 2013.
