I really enjoyed this book. It kept me guessing and had twists an turns up until the end. The last few chapters had me re-reading and trying to comprehend what was happening. I love a book that shocks me at the end, and this one definitely did that!

This writing duo gave me just what I was expecting. A fast-paced story that kept me entertained. The problem for me was that the plot wasn't new. It's been done over and over again, so the story seemed old. I'd like to surprise the reader with a new storyline that hasn't been in other books. The thriller genre is so overpopulated that the book has to have a shiny new concept to stand out.

This one surprised me. I honestly almost gave up on it until it started to pick up around 3/4 through - I’m glad I waited because the twists (yes, many!) at the ending made it worthwhile!

Piper is the hip, gorgeous new woman in town who meets Leo, an attractive yet married attorney. Leo has recently been depressed and struggling to make his way through each day. Piper vows to cheer him up and snag him no matter the cost. But Leo's wife, Joanna, is sure there's more to Piper's story and won't stop until she uncovers it.
That's what I love about the Constantine sisters - they deliver twists that come out of nowhere! This book was no exception. I did despise Piper, but I'm sure that was the point! I read this over two days which is pretty quick for me!
Thanks to Liv Constantine, HarperCollins and NetGalley for the ARC.

I enjoyed reading this book a lot. I like the alternating voices of Joanna and Piper. Although, I was not a fan of Leo. I would have been glad to walk away from him.The intensity kept building the further I got into the story.

Joanna grew bolder and stronger as the story progressed. Which left me cheering for her. Yet, don't count Piper out as she was smart as well. Well considering her past and what she got away with; you have to say she is a few steps ahead of Joanna. These two women are playing a dangerous cat and mouse game.

The ending was good. I was happy with it. There is nothing worse then to read a book just to get to a weak ending. Readers of psychological thrillers will want to pick up a copy of this book to read. It kept my attention the whole way through the book from beginning to end.

Wow, once I got ahold of this book, or it got ahold of me I should say, I absolutely could not put it down. The characters are empathetic and the plot is tidy. I highly recommend if you enjoy this genre, and other books by this pair. 4 enthusiastic stars!

Joanna is supporting her husband through depression and hoping he will reconnect with their children and her. Along comes Piper, new in town and ready to disregard the wedding ring he is wearing to make him her own.

I enjoyed the beginning and end of the story. However, the during the middle I was waiting for something to happen and tended to skim this area.

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy.

Liv Constantine's new head-spinning suspense novel, The Wife Stalker, is a book best entered blind. That is, if you like your novels chillingly served up with a dose of "what, just happened here?!" The Constantine sister-author duo has done it again with yet another taut domestic thriller that will have readers flying through the pages to see how it all ends. The payoff is worth it, and the journey to the shocking finale is one compelling thrill ride.

Joanna's husband Leo has been acting strange. She figures he is depressed, but she can't get him to open up to her. Turns out Piper is to blame. With a beautiful face, perfect body, and New Age vibe, Piper is primed to steal Joanna's husband out from under her nose. And steal him she does. Before Joanna knows it, Leo has divorced her, and Piper has moved in on her former life, marrying her husband and raising her kids. That's when a devastated Joanna starts digging up dirt on her husband's new wife and uncovers some shocking secrets. Joanna will protect her children from this woman at all costs, and she becomes determined to expose Piper for the dangerous home wrecker she is, no matter how many obstacles Leo and Piper throw her way.

The Constantine sister's first novel, The Last Mrs. Parrish, was a smash hit, and The Wife Stalker is destined to match or even surpass it. The Wife Stalker is a deliciously wicked novel of domestic suspense that will have readers plotting all the points in an attempt to figure out just what is lurking below its surface. Constantine drops clues along the way, but will you be able to see through this delicately veiled veneer? Read The Wife Stalker, a must-read for all fans of the genre, to find out.

I really enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was excited to read this book. However it didn't really work for me. I was frustrated in the beginning with choppy writing, huge time jumps, and the way they skimmed over important plot points. After finishing the book, I can see that that was probably intentional, but it really ruined the book for me. The twist was one that I didn't see coming, but wasn't as satisfying as it should have been because I was too frustrated by the time we finally got there.

This is a stunning thriller, it had me fully engrossed from beginning to end. I alternated between the audio and kindle versions because I didn't want to take a break from the story.

The chapters alternate between Joanna and Piper, two utterly different women who are fighting to be with Leo and his two children. Leo is in love with Piper, plans to marry her. He assures Joanna she can still see the children, but she is devastated and becomes obsessed with proving Piper has a secret past that could put Leo and the kids in danger.

The writing is tight and fast paced. The story moves back and forth in time seamlessly. The story involves themes of mental illness and grief that maybe could have been handled a little better but to do so may have affected the flow and suspense.

I highly recommend this one for readers of thrillers, mysteries, and domestic dramas, especially in audio book form.

So, SO well done! This was a quick read, one because I couldn’t put it down, and two, it’s a smart, well-written novel that grabs and holds on until you’re done!

I can’t, well won’t give away any spoilers, other than to tell you, you won’t see it coming and when you finally do, you’ll get even more surprises.

Thank you to Netgalley, HarperCollins Publishers, and Liv Constantine for the ARC!

Not a bad thriller, but the plot device of the main character having some sort of mental illness is really getting old. Seems like every suspense/thriller that comes out uses this as a main plot point.

Well, sadly, it's official...I won't be reading anything by these ladies again. I absolutely loved their first book, "The Last Mrs. Parrish". Their second book wasn't great. And this one? Even worse. I read until the 33% mark, rolling my eyes and yelling at the screen at the terrible dialogue and questioning how any of this was happening. Then I got bored and skipped to the 88% mark and found myself reading the mother of all twists...and not in a good way. Then there was ANOTHER ridiculous twist...and I thought, "If I had read this entire book to get to this, I would have been angry."

Skip this book, by any means necessary.

The Wife Stalker was just okay for me. The book is written from two alternating perspectives: Piper, the new wife who moves into her husband Leo's house and tries to fit in as the new mom to a 6 year old and 8 year old; and Joanna, the ex-wife who learns she is dumped by her husband after she leaves to go take care of her mother.

Most of the book is kind of boring. Piper's chapters are devoted to her moving in and trying to learn how to be a good stepmom to Leo's kids. She also tries to fit in with Leo's big fat Greek family, and predictably it doesn't go so well. Joanna is understandably upset to be kicked out of the family--after a minor incident where she spanks her kid for running out into the road, she is no longer allowed to see her kids. She views Piper as poisoning Leo against her and vows to uncover more about Piper's shady past to prove that Piper is dangerous.

And so it goes for many, many pages. I like a good domestic thriller, but there was way more domestic description than anything thrilling happening--until the last 10% of the book. The last part is where everything comes together and makes sense. But even the end wasn't quite enough to recommend this book very highly. There have been a lot of these kinds of books on the market lately, and many of them are better written. This is an okay book, but it would have been more exciting if I'd never encountered this particular trope before. 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3.

Here's a twisty psychological thriller from Liv Constantine, author of The Last Mrs. Parrish. Her new psychological mystery, The Wife Stalker, focuses on the young family of handsome lawyer Leo Drakos and the determined young woman who inserts herself into their privileged circle.

Readers will feel pretty sure they know what's going on, as tension rises about the safety of these children, especially the less compliant little boy. Matters progress to what seems an inevitable conclusion - which is when the author turns her plot upside down, with yet another twist on the very last page.

I didn't love this book as much as I wanted to, however I did keep reading it and I'm glad I did! The story is from the perspective of Joanna and Piper, two women in love with the same man. I honestly didn't like either of the women and found the whole situation that they found themselves in to be very unbelievable. However, the ending seemed to pull it all together and it all made much more sense. If you decide to read this, don't give up on it! The ending is great!

Piper Reynard moved to Westport, Connecticut to start over and put the past behind her. She opened a wellness center that is becoming quite successful. Her life is getting back on track when Leo Drakos walks through her door. He is tall, handsome, and very rich. Everything Piper likes in a man, unfortunately, he also is wearing a wedding ring. But Piper won't let that stop her from getting what she wants.

Joanna is ready for Leo to get out of the depressive funk that he has been in. She is ready for them to get on with their lives and she thinks that a meditation day at the new wellness center in town is just what he needs. Joanna is grateful when Leo starts acting like his old self, but then she finds out that Piper is the reason for the pep in Leo's step, she is willing to do anything to hold on to her family.

Hold on to your hats, The Wife Stalker is going take you on one hell of a ride. From the very beginning you get to hear both sides of the story. The book alternates chapters between Joanna and Piper and it is clear that they are very different women. Piper is confident and beautiful. Joanna is self-conscious and eager to please. Piper also has some skeletons in her closet and Joanna is very eager to reveal those skeletons to Leo. The way the book is written, the reader thinks they know what is going to happen, but the reader knows nothing. Trust me. -CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS. I was so shocked by the twists and turns with The Wife Stalker that I literally gasped out loud.

Bottom Line - The Wife Stalker is one of the best thrillers of the year. A page-turner to the very end.

I enjoyed The Wife Stalker, and it was a fun read, but many parts of the plot line were a bit unbelievable. The story did redeem itself in the end though!
