The Wife Stalker was a perfect escape, as I could NOT put it down! The story follows happy housewife Joanna, her successful husband Leo, and their two children, But after Leo experiences a bout of depression, he starts to show interest in Piper, the young and beautiful wellness guru who just moved to the area. All of a sudden Joanna's life is whipped upside down, and she will do anything to get her family back.

Full of twists and turns until the very last page. Thank you, NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book!

*Really a 3.5 star review

Joanna is concerned that Leo isn’t bouncing back from his depression, and encourages him to visit the local health center. There Leo meets the alluring owner, Piper, and what begins as a typical domestic thriller becomes anything but.

As has been widely and accurately noted by other reviewers, this thriller borders on absurdity. Despite this, and as a testament to the skill of author(s) Liv Constantine, I still found myself unable to put it down. Often absurdity pulls me out of the story, but because the entire premise was wild from the get-go I was in-step with it until the twist. Many reviews have cited the twist as the saving grace of the book—it certainly does a lot to realign the readers perspective. Not to be a contrarian, but the twist troubled me. While it nicely sorted one puzzle, it threw many other smaller details into disarray, then closed without those acknowledged. That said, I had a good deal of fun reading it. A strong vacation read through and through.

Liv Constantine is an auto buy for me. These two write a wonderful thriller. In this one I never saw the ending coming. Which is exactly what I want in a thriller. I love that the chapters are different points of view as well as short. The authors take you on a wild ride with a privileged family and a woman that won’t give up being a mother. This novel has you questioning everything. Another winner from this dynamic duo.

Thank you so much for the copy. I tried to pick this one up but it did not work for me. Thank you for the opportunity to be an early reader.

The “twist” is so terrible. The characters and plot are half-baked. None of the dialogue feels real. And once you know the end, Piper’s thoughts and point of view throughout the story make no sense. It’s just so bad. SKIP!

This book was....something. I didn’t expect the twist but I wasn’t blown away by it. Honestly, I was left a bit confused. I almost went back to reread the entire book but decided against it. I thought the beginning of the book was off to a good start. The characters were well written and I found them engrossing however things started to happen that seemed unbelievable.

I did enjoy the two POV’s (Joanna’s and Piper’s) and the short chapters. Overall, this book served its purpose and pulled me out of a week long reading slump. I would recommend it to any reader seeking to do the same.

The Wife Stalker is the brand new psychological thriller from Liv Constantine which follows the story of Joanna, Piper and Leo into a complex domestic drama.
Like every other book of Liv Constantine, this one has strong female characters who are vulnerable yet brave to face the world.

Fashionable and posh, Piper has her own enigma. She's a wellness coach with a tough past that she's struggling to bury. But Joanna won't let her be. She'd do anything in her power to stop Piper from taking Leo and the kids under her wing. Even if that means stalking and sneaking behind her, against the newly issued restraining order!

This is a psychological thriller that plays mind games with the reader. You just can't trust any of the characters as none of them are what they appear to be. Just when you start sympathising for one person, something happens and throws you off balance and then suddenly you hate that person!

It takes a bit of time to get hold of the premise and the setting of the book. And I felt like all the twists and 'big reveal' of the story is cramped in the last few chapters of the book. It could have been distributed a bit more evenly rather than doing it so fast toward the end so that the reader could hardly breathe!

Overall this was a great beach read, immersing myself into the posh life of Piper and Leo and the dutiful Joanna. I'm a fan of the author duo and will watch out for their next creation. Many thanks to Harper for the advanced reader copy. All opinions are solely mine.

The Wife Stalker ... a little fun fact ... it’s the 3rd novel written by the sister writing team Liv Constantine. As we are longing for beautiful summer days and the perfect Beach Reads, this books timing is perfect. It seems to be this one is all smoke and mirrors until the very end & packed full of shocking twists & unexpected turns.
A story with emphasis on mental health that isn’t meant to entertain but to bring awareness to this important topic. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher, Harper Collins, for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

I began The Wife Stalker feeling a little hesitant and noncommittal. I couldn't really get into the text and found so many things to be a stretch of the imagination. However, I soon realized that, like all psychological thrillers, The Wife Stalker had more going on than what is apparent on the surface. The suspension of reality was purposeful, and when all the pieces were put together, I had that moment of "whoa," the one that psychological thriller readers yearn for.

I always find it hard to review books like this, feeling like reviewing even briefly can give the story away. Suffice it to say, that characters and events are more than what they may appear. When all the pieces connect at the end, it is definitely worth it.

For readers who enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish (I loved it!), here's another one for you! Thanks to Netgalley and HarperCollins for the ARC.

⁣“The Wife Stalker” was a very entertaining read! For me, it was well-paced, well-written, and kept me interested. Some of the characters frustrated me so much! While I was enjoying it, I found myself thinking, “This is another classic ‘man leaves his wife for another woman’ story.” HOWEVER, it ended up being so much more than that! I always love an unexpected twist, and this one had not one, but TWO that stood out to me. This one comes out tomorrow, and you need to read it! ⁣⁣

Joanna seems to have it all. Handsome lawyer, Leo and the kids, adorable Stelli and sweet Evie. Life is wonderful until Piper shows up. Owner of a wellness center, beautiful Piper quickly snags the attention of Leo and before she knows it, Joanna is out the door. Papers are served. Leo is moving right along with new love. But Piper might have a dark secret in her past, might be out to harm Leo, the children! Joanna must do something.

I read a lot of thrillers and The Wife Stalker stands out as it has one of the most shocking twists I have ever read. When it hit, I was stunned. As any good thriller should, it kept my attention from the start. I could not put it down. Never have I swiped so quickly through a book. I had to know what was coming next.

Despite having a couple of unrealisitic, unbelievable moments, I rated this 4.5 stars and would highly recommend it to my friends and patrons that love thrillers or those looking for good thrill despite their usual preferences. This is going to quickly become a star in the thriller genre.

I’ll be honest and say that The Last Mrs. Parrish was one of those over hyped thrillers that let me down. I’ve been hesitant to dive into another book by this duo but I was super intrigued by the premise for this one. Thank you to @netgalley and @harperbooks for an arc copy in exchange for my honest review.

The Wife Stalker doesn’t waste a minute, starting off super fast-paced making me interested in the ulterior motives of these characters. This is a very character driven thriller that makes you feel very strongly towards some of our lead characters. This story takes a very unique approach, making me hate 90% of the characters most especially Piper and Leo. I don’t want to give anything away but what I will say is that there is a major plot twist towards the end that I did not see coming. Totally came out of left field and left me confused for a few pages. However, it does all come together and brings a lot of unanswered questions come full circle. Everything is not as it seems. I applaud the authors for this plot twist but I do have some problems with it.

I think what it comes down to is that this writing duo is just not for me. The plot twist was just too outlandish for me and I had a hard time buying into the story we’re fed at the end. After reading some other reviews, I know I’m not alone. Honestly, I think I’m getting a little tired of domestic thrillers. Even with a unique plot twist like this one, the underlying themes are still the same.

I do still recommend this one because I think a lot of you will enjoy this one, especially if you were a fan of The Last Mrs. Parrish. I also really like character driven thrillers and the characters were definitely fleshed out enough to evoke certain emotions while reading. If you’re looking for a quick and easy summer thriller with a wild plot twist, this is the book for you.

The Wife Stalker will be released May 19!

3.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I couldn't put this one down! That nasty black widow Piper... the heartbroken Joanna...the annoying Stelli....the clueless Leo - they all came together for an amazing ride. Is Piper innocent? Is Joanna over-reacting? I was in complete shock when I got to the twist in the end - I had to think about what I had just read for at least 10 minutes upon completion.

Liv Constantine is up there with my favorites (Liza & Liz, Jane G, Heather G, Catherine M) and I devour all of their books within a day. Thank you for making my favorite page turner beach read for 2020!

Thank you to NetGallery.com and the publisher for allowing me an ARC of this amazing book!

There were moments in this book where I legit stopped reading and asked, out loud, "What the hell??" I love a good psychological thriller where the author makes me despise some characters, feel bad for others, and then set me straight when I see everyone's true colors. People were manipulative and selfish. I was suspicious of Piper and Joanna's actions for pretty much the entire ride. The only reason I didn't give this one five stars was because there was a part in the beginning when I looked back to see if I'd missed a section because I felt like I was missing information. I figured it out later, but I wasn't a fan of feeling like I'd missed a chunk of events so soon.

What. Just. Happened?! I don't want to spoil this for all of you out there who are on the edge of your seats ready to read this new thriller from the Liv Constantine duo. The story is delivered by two women who are in conflict through the entire book. Piper has swept into town to open up a wellness center and she is looking for a new husband. Joanna has nurtured Leo through a long bout of depression and is not about to let Piper steal him and the children away from her. Who will win this struggle? Can Joanna dig up dirt on Piper and convince Leo to drop her like a hot potato? What is best for Evie and Stelli? The signature twist from LC came a bit late for me -- I was beginning to get bored. It was still a compelling read and this one will have you looking at the narrative in a new light once you are finished. Recommended!

The Wife Stalker by Live Constantine is narrated by a matched set of cliches.

Joanna, wife of Leo Drakos is a stand by your man kind of gal.

Piper, aspiring trophy wife, can't wait to update to Mrs. Drakos 2.0.

Raise the stakes by adding two small children into the mix and you will find two women both playing for keeps.

Blindsided by Leo's betrayal, Joanna is nonetheless determined to salvage her family. She launches a campaign to expose Piper's questionable past. Will she be able to outwit a master manipulator? The safety of her family may depend upon it. Relentless, Joanna builds her case against Piper as tensions continue to mount within the home.
Meanwhile, Piper, struggles to win the acceptance of the children and fulfill her new role as a domestic goddess. Are the children intentionally sabotaging her relationship with Leo?

A fast-paced thriller with a mind-bending twist, The Wife Stalker will satisfy even the most jaded thrill seeker!

The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine is a thriller about the two women in Leo's life. Joanna and Piper's stories alternate throughout this story. I enjoyed Constantine's previous book, The Last Mrs. Parrish, a little more than this one, but this is still a fun read. Beware: there is quite a twist at the end of this book that will either make or break this story for you! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to Net Galley for the advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Wow! I did not see that coming. The twist at the end was amazing and so well done. This book is so easy to read and each chapter ends with the reader needing to know more. It is rare that I am truly surprised with an ending and Constantine did an excellent job of twisting a believable ending. This is definitely a must but for all libraries and is a great addition to anyone’s psychological thriller collection!!

I was first drawn to this book because of the cover. It looked like something that would be right up my alley. I am also a big fan of Liv Constantine so I knew this was something I had to get my hands on!

The Drakos are the perfect family. Leo, the father, is a successful lawyer, devoted husband and loving father. Joanna takes care of her husband and their two children just as any good stay at home mother should. She is there for Leo during his depression and does everything she can to help him pull through. When she suggests he take a meditation class at Piper's center is when she loses all her power.

Before you know it, Joanna is out of the house living with her mother and Piper is having the children call her 'Mommy Piper". They are told their mother is in Heaven and that they need to move forward and accept that Piper is there to stay. Joanna is not allowed to see the children but still keeps a close watch... Is Piper who she says she is? Can she be trusted? Were her previous husbands deaths not so much accidents?

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes thriller, suspense or romance. This is a great read and the Constantine sisters did not disappoint once again! 4/5 stars from me. I only feel that the ending was a bit rushed and I was left with suspicions towards Piper. I still have a few questions (LOL)! Thank you so much to Liv Constantine, NetGalley and Harper Collins Publishers for my advanced copy of this book. I was really looking forward to reading this and am thrilled I was given the opportunity to review this book!

Oh, these clever, clever sisters who use the pen name of Liv Constantine in their latest psychological thriller The Wife Stalker! I fell for it! They sucked me in. Now I have to go back and reread this entire book to just see how they manipulated me. Like my reaction to Gone Girl (Gillian Flynn), I never saw the twist coming. This one will get the full 5 stars from me, which is not something I award often.

When lawyer Leo Drakos meets Piper Reynard, instant chemistry occurs. But what about Joanna who has been by Leo’s side for years and loves the children Evie and Stelli immensely? Not only does he cast Joanna aside for the gorgeous younger woman he has FALLEN for in just a matter of weeks, he eventually arranges things legally so Joanna can never see the children again.

It turns out that Piper seems to be just the thing to bring Leo out of a severe depression that has nearly DROWNED him. While Evie is a sweet, accepting little girl who warms up to Piper, Stelli is fighting her all the way, instead wanting his Mommy. Neither child wants their father to remarry.

When Joanna learns that not only one of Piper’s previous husbands died while married to her but her second husband and her stepdaughter died on her watch as well, Joanna goes all out to expose Piper for the murderer Joanna is convinced she is.

Plan to read this in one sitting as you will not be able to put it down until you find out what happens to Leo, Evie, and Stelli.

Sisters and best-selling authors Lynne Constantine and Valerie Constantine spend hours plotting their novels using Facebook and email as they live three states apart. This is the second book I’ve enjoyed by them, and I just put their 2019 title on hold at the library.

My review will be posted on Goodreads starting May 8, 2020.

I’d like to thank HarperCollins Publishers and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in return for an objective review.
